So, I actually have a great story about my Day 1 King’s Fall. I’ve NEVER played KF before, so I was going into this blind… with an LFG team. Now, let me tell you, this group was amazing. I absolutely loved them. They were very chill, understanding, and overall were really fun. One person in particular by the name of “Lord Babyrage” was my favorite, and for one reason. You see, we both had pre-ordered Lightfall, and used the “untangling strand” emote. We made a joke about spending $100 on the color green. This eventually led to us making our characters, armor and guns, COMPLETELY GREEN. If that wasn’t enough, we made it so that EVERY SINGLE CALLOUT was a different shade of green. Best raid I’ve ever done. Edit: Literally the entire raid was just Lord and I making green jokes while everyone else died of laughter and game encounters. I’m so glad I had the chance to experience this, and can’t wait to do it again.

@@Langodan As you wish. Every time we wiped, we said “ah… that’s not enough G R E E N”. Mind you, we wiped a lot due to failing the encounter, someone saying the wrong shade of green, and us literally just doing the dumbest stuff because GREEN. This raid holds a super special place in my heart, not cause I’m a d1 vet but for a different reason. I’ve tried to beat a day one raid since dsc and I slowly progressed further and further each time but never managed to get the day one (side note: for vow we couldn’t meet up for the second day and lfging rhulk was bad). Fast forward to kings fall, we have a team of people from my other various different day ones (I’ve been in 3 different clans over dsc, vog and vow). We beat Oryx in 12 hours, setting us up to be able to beat challenge mode. Then came Warpriest challenge. It was 4 am for me and we were a good 17 hours in and we were struggling, losing hope and tired. I heard one of my teammates say “we got it boys” with the most conviction I’ve ever heard and by some miracle we got it that run. 2 hours at golgoroth, 8 minutes at sisters and we were ready for oryx challenge. We struggled on for another few hours and we only had 90 minutes left. Once more with motivation and conviction my teammate kept cheering us on. And with one final push at the 23rd hour oryx challenge was ours and we had our first day one. Edit: cherry on top after yelling at the top of our lungs was finding we were one one of only 254 teams on Xbox to beat challenge mode.
Not much of a story but it took me a few days to find an lfg for kf since I don’t have a mic, but when I did, we taught 5/6 and beat the raid and had a great time. Did the raid again the next day and spent 220 spoils of conquest on zaouli’s bane and got 2 godrolls. Worth it.

Toad you're my whole inspiration as a destiny player I started recently doing dumb stuff with my friends because of you and we've been having so much fun I've even taken some inspiration from your armors and tweaked it myself I love your videos and keep it up bro
I did my first kf not too long ago with a group of friends who knew the raid inside and out. They had me start the boss encounter by the little toland thing. The Oryx I remember was the one from the taken king campaign, the ~10 foot tall one. Needless to say, that behemoth surprised me.
Remastered King’s Fall was my 7th attempt at a day one raid and hoping that I’d finally get a cool looking emblem to show off the accomplishments. Here’s how it went For my day one team, we had 2 people who didn’t really play D1, so King’s Fall was brand new to them. All they needed was a quick rundown of what happens, as well as the rest of us figuring out what they changed from the original I think I can say for quite a lot of teams, Warpriest was a big roadblock. Once Warpriest was conquered, all we had to do was figure out the changes for each encounter past the roadblock Our contest run took us nearly 10 hours, which wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t great either We take a quick 5 minute break to the tower, it happened to be lunch time in my time zone so I quickly heated up a microwaved lunch to have early in our challenge run After a tower run, we load up challenge mode, and the run which would determine whether or not I would get my first day one emblem or special “Challenge” tag on a reprised raid Straight away, statues was done swiftly. Totems challenge took about 4 tries. Then we reacquainted ourselves with…Warpriest. On the contest run, we spent about 5 hours on this encounter. Challenge run was only slightly better and, due to my Aussie latency, and getting the right rotation on the final DPS phase. We destroyed Warpriest and swiftly left the room Golgoroth challenge took 3 attempts, as did Daughters. There was only one encounter standing between getting the challenge run done and wearing a sick emblem, or calling it quits and sticking with a day one clear Oryx, the Taken King. At the time of reaching this challenge, 16 hours and 15 minutes of time had elapsed, meaning we had 7 hours and 45 minutes to dethrone the King and meet his challenge First few attempts were getting everything sorted and making sure that we knew how to tackle the “Hands Off” challenge. An hour and 15 minutes had elapsed, and we had gotten very close to final stand. The next attempt, I planted the rally flag, my fireteam had rallied, reloaded and was ready to go again Our first bomb phase to stun Oryx didn’t go to plan, with one bomb not detonating even though the player was inside the bomb. Second bomb phase, we had 4 bombs detonated instead of 5 because of a light eater knight. Third bomb phase was textbook. 4 players detonating a bomb each, and we knock him down to roughly 10% before final stand. Final bomb phase was the same as the third, and we send him to final stand The players who hadn’t killed the front ogres throughout the encounter were tasked to take care of those ogres. Myself and another fireteam member patiently waited for the text “Oryx calls upon the darkness” where we would stand in the final 2 bombs and stun Oryx. Oryx becomes stunned, and we lay everything out. Slowly but surely, with the final moments of Oryx’s health bar dwindling down to 0, some of my teammates let out cries of joy. I would have joined them, had my kid not been in bed fast asleep 17 and a half hours, clearing both contest and challenge mode runs of day one King’s Fall, we emerge victorious. We quickly claimed the “Regicide” triumph and we were awarded with a really neat emblem. A weekend I truly, will never forget. To this day, I’m super duper happy with my team and what we had all accomplished. Everyone but myself before King’s Fall remastered released already had at least 1 day one beforehand, whether in D1 or D2 I guess 7th time was the charm, and it all paid off. My team had placed 1,344th in challenge mode rankings which is really good considering the only other time I’ve gotten a placement was week one Crown of Sorrow (272nd)
This raid is still my proudest accomplishment slogging through Contest Mode twice to complete and then do challenges. Its also one of the only raid seals I made sure to get.
The team going into the raid: this should be fine, just some good fun with the bois 6 hours later: roses are red, the sun isn't shining *MY MENTAL HEALTH IS RAPIDLY DECLINING* praise the holy toaster
Awesome video man! I never did kings fall during destiny one and don't have much memory of the game in general but the D2 version looks extremally cool and fun.
Since I have never done KF, here’s a fun fact about the development: Totems was originally a KotH segment where you’re pelted enemies, though they quickly realized a Saint bubble can cheese the shit out of it
Day 1 was hilarious for me. I was with my best mates who had all done KF in D1, 4 of em had Day 1 completions in Vow, VoG and DSC but most importantly, *all of us knew how to piss each other tf off if we started to fail.* We did relics first go round, got to Totems ASAP, figured it all out with no stream-peeking and did it in an hour, found the way to cheese the glyph sequence and made mincemeat of The Warpriest in under 2 hours, slew Golgoroth after 5 attempts, collateral'ed the sisters in 3 attempts and spent *3 long but well-spebt hours at Oryx.* All that time, we had a laugh, a hoot, catched up on irl things going on and ultimately worked as a team....... *that is, until we did challenge mode.* It was roughly 2am, we got to Totems in an hour and spent 3 hours max figuring out & doing each encounter, all up to Oryx. Here, the salt began to trickle out a bit and we slowly started getting angsty and royally pissed off with one another, to the point we started acting like *literal kindergarten brats.* Finally, after 21 hours of hard work, we got Day 1 completion done and a renewed love for KF too.
Totems can really be pain, a few days ago me and a random fireteam did the whole raid in three and a half hours, which was very nice, then I tried to run it again on my titan and we got stuck at totems for about five hours, all because one person was in half blue gear and kept dying every run, in the end everybody left, I better learn from that mistake and just kick the liability next time.
I love ur content ur genuinely entertaining and i guarantee people are gonna find you, also i did this day one for the first time as well and yeah totems was a pain and warpriest took true commitment to complete and most of my team feel appart eventually having me and another guy from my original team finding a new team to join. Killing warpriest was the best feeling ever but it was 19 hours and we called it quits at golgy
I’m pretty sure now days warpriest is sitting at something like 19 mill health or something absurd not to mention how much is involved just to get into a dps phase Great video Love from Sweden

War priest as around 20 million health I thing, maybe a bit less but definitely not more, I got stuck there and just did the rest the next day like most people
I did kings fall day one with someone who played it all the way through in d1 they however were a garbage teacher and my team got stuck on totems the. I joined another team breezed through till war priest and then I was stuck on it for about 3 days, afterwards blew though the rest in an hour
Wow hearing you guys spent 5 hours on totems definitely does make me feel a little better haha. My team and I got stuck on totems for 3 and ended up beating it right as we wiped but gave up pretty quick on Warpriest lmao
My day one team got stuck at warpreist due to the damage requirement and ended with me winning multiple guardian pvp eager edge tournaments within the day one warpreist arena
I had a blast watching this video and you convinced me to pick up D2 again after years. However the cheery on top was when you mentioned WAWA and my endorphins fucking exploded. I moved out of the east coast 6 years ago and vow to one day return to the promised land again.
Oh boy my first stories about kingsfall I got t.o.m not once not twice but3 times on the first time I hit it up on return and when I went back to school all my friends decided to just jump me jokes on them I'm going to keep on enjoying my favorite raid since my d1 days see them mf haters never
First video of yours I’ve seen, and this entire experience I felt on a personal level. My first clear of day 1 atheon with other players at the same new player level as I. And the satisfying victory that came at the end as we beat VoG for the first time. It was great. If I could double sub I would
I completed the challenge mode of kings fall with my team and I was hearing some horror stories along the way of people being stuck at totems for 5-6 hours and then being stuck at war priest for rest of day until the reset next day just made my skin crawl The raid was so much going though for me and my team and we had half or more (I can’t remember) of our team never have been in the d1 raid I’m so glad I found a team before the raid and didn’t do what I usually do and just find an lfg But the biggest tip I can give to anyone going into a day a day 1 raid is to find a team and practice doing some raids days before the raid releases
My day 1 Kings Fall experience was really something. I bought and played D1 in preparation for the day 1 raid. Did it help? NO. Anyway, after relics, our team was full of optimism about completing this raid. Only for that optimism to be crushed after we got stuck on totems for 4 hours. The entire beginning of this video was basically what those 4 hours looked like. Anyway, we did clear it eventually which reinvigorated optimism just for it to be crushed a second time when we spent another 2 hours on Warpriest. So much so that we finally decided to take a break. We got back together in an hour and turns out one of our guys fell asleep and another one had a power outage. After that, my clan threw in the towel. I wasn't ready to give up just yet so after going to sleep cause it was 4 in the morning I went to LFG and surprisingly enough we got through Warpriest in only an hour. Too bad most of the guys I did Warpriest had to leave. I had to get another LFG group. That one wasn't as good. we spent the remaining amount of time on contest mode which was about 3 hours on Golgoroth. And that's where the dream ended. Overall this being my 2nd day 1 raid I was super frustrated. Last time I did the day 1 raid I got to Rhulk after about 16 hours and spent the next 24 hours jumping from LFG group to LFG group wiping cause people didn't know how to keep their distance from his big juicy thighs. And now for Kings Fall, we couldn't even get halfway through regularly let alone have enough time for the challenges. I'm honestly pretty disappointed in myself. But I'm not gonna give up. When Lightfall comes I will get my first day 1 raid banner even if I die of exhaustion by the end. I will not let myself down a 3hd time.
@@ChardogNation yeah yeah I know. Didn't expect it to hit so hard. Especially for right side those Hive were fucking tough on day 1. I've been since then practicing and have solo flawlessed every dungeon besides Duality. Still trying to get that one down.

Our contest run took us nearly 10 hours, which wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t great either
We take a quick 5 minute break to the tower, it happened to be lunch time in my time zone so I quickly heated up a microwaved lunch to have early in our challenge run
After a tower run, we load up challenge mode, and the run which would determine whether or not I would get my first day one emblem or special “Challenge” tag on a reprised raid
Straight away, statues was done swiftly. Totems challenge took about 4 tries. Then we reacquainted ourselves with…Warpriest. On the contest run, we spent about 5 hours on this encounter. Challenge run was only slightly better and, due to my Aussie latency, and getting the right rotation on the final DPS phase. We destroyed Warpriest and swiftly left the room
Golgoroth challenge took 3 attempts, as did Daughters. There was only one encounter standing between getting the challenge run done and wearing a sick emblem, or calling it quits and sticking with a day one clear
Oryx, the Taken King. At the time of reaching this challenge, 16 hours and 15 minutes of time had elapsed, meaning we had 7 hours and 45 minutes to dethrone the King and meet his challenge
First few attempts were getting everything sorted and making sure that we knew how to tackle the “Hands Off” challenge. An hour and 15 minutes had elapsed, and we had gotten very close to final stand. The next attempt, I planted the rally flag, my fireteam had rallied, reloaded and was ready to go again
Our first bomb phase to stun Oryx didn’t go to plan, with one bomb not detonating even though the player was inside the bomb. Second bomb phase, we had 4 bombs detonated instead of 5 because of a light eater knight. Third bomb phase was textbook. 4 players detonating a bomb each, and we knock him down to roughly 10% before final stand. Final bomb phase was the same as the third, and we send him to final stand
The players who hadn’t killed the front ogres throughout the encounter were tasked to take care of those ogres. I would have joined them, had my kid not been in bed fast asleep
17 and a half hours, clearing both contest and challenge mode runs of day one King’s Fall, we emerge victorious. We quickly claimed the “Regicide” triumph and we were awarded with a really neat emblem. A weekend I truly, will never forget. To this day, I’m super duper happy with my team and what we had all accomplished. Everyone but myself before King’s Fall remastered released already had at least 1 day one beforehand, whether in D1 or D2
I guess 7th time was the charm, and it all paid off. My team had placed 1,344th in challenge mode rankings which is really good considering the only other time I’ve gotten a placement was week one Crown of Sorrow (272nd)
The editing on this video is top tier, great video and story man. I can't wait to see what you do next!
World’s first team: Beat the raid in a little over 3 hours
Toad’s team: T E L E S T O
2:42 nice save 👌 👏 👍
This raid is still my proudest accomplishment slogging through Contest Mode twice to complete and then do challenges. Its also one of the only raid seals I made sure to get.
The team going into the raid: this should be fine, just some good fun with the bois
6 hours later: roses are red, the sun isn't shining
*MY MENTAL HEALTH IS RAPIDLY DECLINING*
praise the holy toaster
Wawa run kinda night has to be one of the best things I've heard in response to playing Destiny 2
the persona 5 finisher thumbnail is EPIC
We love a cultured youtuber who hits wawa after raid night
Awesome video man! I never did kings fall during destiny one and don't have much memory of the game in general but the D2 version looks extremally cool and fun.
The we we we slick boys line is amazing
dude the soundeffects are actually top tier
Since I have never done KF, here’s a fun fact about the development:
Totems was originally a KotH segment where you’re pelted enemies, though they quickly realized a Saint bubble can cheese the shit out of it
this is becoming one of my new favorite destiny channels, keep up the great work bud!
Day 1 was hilarious for me.
I was with my best mates who had all done KF in D1, 4 of em had Day 1 completions in Vow, VoG and DSC but most importantly, *all of us knew how to piss each other tf off if we started to fail.*
We did relics first go round, got to Totems ASAP, figured it all out with no stream-peeking and did it in an hour, found the way to cheese the glyph sequence and made mincemeat of The Warpriest in under 2 hours, slew Golgoroth after 5 attempts, collateral'ed the sisters in 3 attempts and spent *3 long but well-spebt hours at Oryx.*
All that time, we had a laugh, a hoot, catched up on irl things going on and ultimately worked as a team....... *that is, until we did challenge mode.*
It was roughly 2am, we got to Totems in an hour and spent 3 hours max figuring out & doing each encounter, all up to Oryx.
Here, the salt began to trickle out a bit and we slowly started getting angsty and royally pissed off with one another, to the point we started acting like *literal kindergarten brats.*
Finally, after 21 hours of hard work, we got Day 1 completion done and a renewed love for KF too.
Epic Thumbnail that’s looks soo cool
this man is the funniest destiny content creator. your so creative with your videos and always make me laugh. keep it up🙂
Little did he know Croats end is back
I love how I was included in the wawa trip! ❤️
I remember my first D1 KF raid that took me and my group 8 hours to complete, ill never forget the day. god we used to be so terrible
Bro predicted the future
Bruh how did you sit at warpriest for 19 hours
I’m pretty sure now days warpriest is sitting at something like 19 mill health or something absurd not to mention how much is involved just to get into a dps phase
Great video
Love from Sweden
I played Totems with Loreley Spender helmet with healing grenades and a xenophage
Compared to a lot of other Destiny content creators who seem pretty cookie cutter, your content is unique and yalls humour is on point. And there doesn’t seem to any toxicity either. Y’all just seem like you’re genuinely having fun and not taking anything too seriously
Love ur content bruv
yo i feel your pain
8:31 this is when I joined as member to your channel XD
War priest as around 20 million health I thing, maybe a bit less but definitely not more, I got stuck there and just did the rest the next day like most people
Seeing Donovan run the stag in this video and him never running it otherwise even when him and I play on higher difficulty is the funniest thing
Ok hear me out “Oryx Taker of drip”
My day one team got stuck at warpreist due to the damage requirement and ended with me winning multiple guardian pvp eager edge tournaments within the day one warpreist arena
I had a blast watching this video and you convinced me to pick up D2 again after years. However the cheery on top was when you mentioned WAWA and my endorphins fucking exploded. I moved out of the east coast 6 years ago and vow to one day return to the promised land again.
Underrated also I feel every second of this video the ups the DOWNS the laughs everything you did a great job
At the mention of WaWa, it all came together... The wackiness... The absurdity... These are Floridians!
this is one of my most favorite videos from you yet
The ending of this vid makes me really wish my raid team lived near one another and could vibe playing Mario party LUL
That ending was so wholesome
Funny how, one year later, they really did add Crota's End in the middle
I have no clue why but i screamed with so much joy on that oryx kill
you can go to the crafting thing on savathun's throne world and pick up a quest to craft a taipan-4fr
Kudos to you guys for attempting it on contest. I'd really recommend practicing in master mode and giving it another go next raid
this is premium content
My kings fall story is that I haven't done it yet, been playing super molded fallout 4 and payday 2
war priest has around 20-25 million health i think?
Oh boy my first stories about kingsfall I got t.o.m not once not twice but3 times on the first time I hit it up on return and when I went back to school all my friends decided to just jump me jokes on them I'm going to keep on enjoying my favorite raid since my d1 days see them mf haters never
You guys are the first group of people i've seen that know about wawa I love guys XD
Dude your so underrated I hope your UA-cam Chanel grows more
First video of yours I’ve seen, and this entire experience I felt on a personal level. My first clear of day 1 atheon with other players at the same new player level as I. And the satisfying victory that came at the end as we beat VoG for the first time. It was great. If I could double sub I would
I’m jealous of you and your fireteam, all of my irl friends that I use to play with don’t play anymore.
heads up in case ya dont know, in d2 if you have unstable light and explode on golgoroth the explosion does like 600k to him.
bro i want the unedited version as well. give me 15 hours of kings fall torture.
Me who doesn’t have friends to play with just trying to relate to this pain
One of my fireteam members was about 20 under contest mode light, so it took us like 6 hours lol
I completed the challenge mode of kings fall with my team and I was hearing some horror stories along the way of people being stuck at totems for 5-6 hours and then being stuck at war priest for rest of day until the reset next day just made my skin crawl
The raid was so much going though for me and my team and we had half or more (I can’t remember) of our team never have been in the d1 raid I’m so glad I found a team before the raid and didn’t do what I usually do and just find an lfg
But the biggest tip I can give to anyone going into a day a day 1 raid is to find a team and practice doing some raids days before the raid releases
Damm i feel bad didn't even do day 1 hope you get it next time
@@hasbeennot4077 Thanks. I learned a lot from Kings Fall so next time I'll make sure to better prepared.
@@HannyaHalo if you got stuck at totems you’re gonna have to change a lot before next day 1
@@ChardogNation yeah yeah I know. Didn't expect it to hit so hard. Especially for right side those Hive were fucking tough on day 1. I've been since then practicing and have solo flawlessed every dungeon besides Duality. Still trying to get that one down.
I just wish I had people to do stuff like this with, currently a solo destiny player sadly
i like the memes that are at the start
2:53 Halo 2 comment.
Video before comment: Yes SIR! Destiny 2 meets Destiny 1 (again)! Hype.
Video after comment: There is an undying respect burning in my heart for Toad, and for his team, and I will watch until the end of the video without skipping a single ad. (P.S. Forced my entire collection of Halo humans to watch this after that comment)
I believe Warpriest has about 22 MILLION health
Damn that thumbnail goes hard
Maybe they will figure out wardcliff melts the sisters
My day one team has some way been able to break one boss in every single raid. This one was golgoroth and we had a infinite stun where we were able to continually damage him.
Not a day one story but my roommate want to run another Kings Fall raid.( we complete the day one raid, but didn’t get the challenges). He wanted to teach some new people as well. So we launch into the raid we two blueberries( chill dudes, liked playing with them), and came across the day one vow problem but worse. Every encounter except for gol, was plagued with connection issues. Aura bearers lagging out at the start of dps, gaze holders dropping out and loading focus, sisters bugged out enough that there was no wipe mechanic, did the song, killed us and we just respawn.
Best or worst bit was Oryx. During the clear attempt we three lag outs, our hunter lost connection during the first dps, and I lost connection on 2nd dps and final stand. Managed to join back in as hammer socked oryx in the chest and saw gold spawn in on the ground. Best exotic drop of my f’ing life.
14:33 “ew! Go back down!”
That stasis grenade tho!! 😲
Warpriest and his 24,000,000 is such a damage check
My clans first clear took a total of 8 hour over 2 days, and our latest run took just under an hour, such a big learning curve for this raid
8 hours yikes
@@ChardogNation contest mode yessir
@@griffintschudin5912 I stand by my point, and you said it was over 2 days
