All is fine, but don't even give a hint that Dravid is to be blamed! Saurav was going thru a prolonged lean form (a slow painful century against Zimbabwe is no good), and lacking the level of physical fitness required at international level. The only reason why he was holding his position till then was because he was the captain. Agreed, not everything went right, but during that time, Saurav himself didn't exactly help himself either.
It's true that he was not helping himself much but Dravid had a role on the Greg Chappel chapter. Believe it or not it is up to u.
I suggest u read the book...he doesn't blame Dravid...What he says was Dravid did not resist him but he did not try to resist Greg either...and let's face it...Greg was a shit coach...Sachin, Bhajji, Yuvi, VVS came out openly in his support...Sachin spoke to Sharad Power...and eventually helped him in come back in Pakistan...Bhajji spoke in press...Got a show cause from bcci but still did it...they openly displayed their loyalty in love...I respect Dravid..great player...but there's one thing about bieng a captain you gotta back you players even when they have a bad tour...that's how you build a team....Dravid wasn't a good captain...ad he did have role in what was called the Chappel fiasco...Read Chappel's biography and you will know how many wrong notions Chappel had about Ganguly and the fact that he wanted him out... irrespective of performance....
@@amateur_artist_storiesmand3853 this is a story that is created by Ganguly's team unfortunately because Rahul is too much of a gentleman to come out and say his bit. He was the one who actually picked up the slack for Ganguly when Indian cricket was at a tough juncture with the fight between Ganguly and Chappell. There is a lot of things he did that were wrong and he had to go at that time and not just his bad form. Dravid gets very unnecessary flak for Ganguly's mistakes. He has been more committed and selfless towards Indian cricket than Ganguly.
@@romakashyap2119 so sad that you even criticizing dada .dada never criticized dravid no mater what happened in the past with Greg and dravid duo.he always respected him and said he is always a team man wen I asked him to do him he did as keeper an extra burden he told all the positives about dravid.but dravid though he is gentleman he never said any good words about Ganguly may b he might not be having good opinion or may b he disliked him thats not a big deal.that to dada came back with his performances in Indian team under dravid captaincy.he is only one who did some notable or some what respectable performance in2007 wc and he performed well 2007 and 2008 years second high scorer after kallis or Sachin I guess.as soon as bcci president, he showed his respect and appreciated or acknowledged dravid s cricket knowledge and took him as coach and laxman kumble into the picture as well.if dada is selfish y he will bring all these people into main stream no na.no matter whether u like or hate him we must respect him the way he nortured normal Indian team to a force .not only that he scored around 18k runs in international cricket plus around 120 odd wickets. So no issues defending dravid no point of reducing dada.Respect Dada and respect people who did service to growth and planted the seeds of current powerful team india

I think U dont know that once when he was asked that which is the talent he want to have in his life if he can. Then he said he want to bat like sachin.He also said many time that sachin is best in world. And he is his favourite cricketer.
