    Please don't regret taking your shirt off at Lord's.I recently took a tour of the Lord's last summer and the English tour guide pointed to the visitor's balcony and mentioned that it is now the 'Ganguly balcony' after your incident and he described it in short. I as an Indian and a Bengali felt so much pride that I literally had goosebumps..It was a gift from Dada to all Indians.Please don't regret it.

    Dear Dada,
    Please don’t regret taking your shirt off in the Lords Balcony . A Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t have done it, A Rahul Dravid couldn’t have done it, it’s the most defining moment of your legacy dada , please embrace it ! As a die hard cricket fan of your era and MS Dhonis era and a 14 year old kid in 2002, it’s a memory that still warms my heart ! Golden days of my childhood and revolutionary times for Indian cricket ! A time when cricket was emotion and NOT just another way to mint money .

    Dada shouldn't be sorry for something that changed Indian cricket for good...
    Taking the shirt off ushered in aggression and self-confidence, which Indian cricket now boasts off.
    It was a landmark showing England that India couldn't be dominated anymore.

    Barkha dutt is so habituated in taking interviews and turning them into unnecessary sensationalism that she spent over 20mins in a 40min interview about just dada and chappel..he has had a far illustrious career than just those six months! And the next ques she asks is about virat and anil kumble.. He just released a book on his Life and career and yet she pokes around the same bush of chappel.. virat..etc..

    But how can he say that... Kaif and Yuvraj did the impossible after 120/5 and waving your shirt around screaming "F*cking yess" is what the Captain must do! I remember watching it live and shouting to my parents who had gone off because India lost the final... one of my favorite memories of our great Indian batting line-up.

    Dear saurav, 2 things I personally feel you should never feel sorry for.
    1.removing the shirt
    2.in one interview u mentioned if you can switch back to toss of world cup 2003 u would bat. I felt bowl was best but situation was overwhelming for everyone and couldn't control the swing. It's my opinion only. I will be remember u in my mind for ur nehlae pae dehala for steve waugh. It was a battle to remember.

    • @Roy-si8ne
      @Roy-si8ne 6 років тому +1

      Ramesh Lakshminarayana yes, the bowling decision maybe was correct. It turns out Ricky and Gilly had a fearfully good day that day.. complete freakshow... I still believe that final could have been ours if it was to be played again...come on, Sachin the highest scorer, Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag...few of the elite batsmen of the world in the side...we were just unlucky.

    Great interview and great questions!. I have only 1 comment though - kindly adjust the focus of the camera next time. It seems the camera is focusing more on the 1st book on the right when looking at Saurav than at him, because of which most the time Saurav's face is blurry and not clear at all. So, its just a tad disappointing that way.
