Amongst all the TRS Episodes we've ever done, this was truly a dream for me. Can't be more honoured and excited about having Sourav Ganguly on The Ranveer Show. His book "A Century Is Not Enough - Sourav Ganguly" is my all-time motivation. In this episode, I've specifically spoken about that one book that taught me the most crucial leadership lessons.
Sourav Ganguly, affectionately known as Dada, is an Indian cricket administrator, commentator, and former national cricket team captain who is the 39th and current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). During his playing career, Ganguly established himself as one of the world's leading batsmen and also one of the most successful captains of the Indian national cricket team. He took the Indian cricket team to greater heights than anyone could imagine.
In this episode, we spoke about his new venture Dream Set Go, his love for football, the IPL, and of course, cricket. We also discussed some very important things needed to achieve the impossible, a killer mindset and drive to defeat all odds. Enjoy this fantastic episode of TRS. Sourav Ganguly - Leadership, Life Lessons & Cricket Stories.

@@ARGHYADEY-bj6ev Going by that logic, Mohd Azharuddin, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Tiger Pataudi, etc were all even bigger panotis than Dada, yet they were the stalwarts of Indian cricket. When you want to compare, you need to compare against people who played with them in the same generation or those who came just before, not with those coming afterwards. So, just like it is illogical to compare Kapil Dev with Mohd Azharuddin, it is illogical to compare Dada with Dhoni. It is just a pity that Dada always took the team when the team was at the lowest point, whether we talk about Indian Team and match-fixing scandal, or we talk about BCCI. Just when Dada settled the team (India) and the board (BCCI), he was kicked out and never given the chance to reap the benefits of all the hard work he put in.
When you are at the lowest point, you first need to come out of the hole, then settle, and then reap the benefits. In case of Dada, he was there for the first two stages, but someone else took the positives of the third stage. And noobs like yourself think it's the new man who did all the good job.
So, mr/ms AD, why don't you just take your tiny cricket brain and shove it up your .... wherever you came from!

Saurav Ganguly was my classmate in St Xaviers college , kolkata, he hardly came to college, laid back , he was hardly in to fitness , but boy when he played the cover drive , it was like a musician . He bought aggression into the sport & installed belief that the job can be done . The dressing room sequence at lords of the Natwest trophy is a defining period in the anals of cricket history.

Personally, I always have a Great Respect For Dada. In One Word As a Captain He Brought a Revolution in Indian Cricket. He actually Changed the Mindset of Indian Cricket, He actually Built the Core of a new Indian Team. Nowadays, There is Negativity about Him. But in His all Previous Interviews, He Always Praised Virat as a Great Batter. For me, He is One of the Greatest and most Impactful Captains For India. Love You, Dada.😊

People talk about his captaincy, but it was his batting skills that was equally stellar, although he sacrificed his spot for younger stars like Sehwag but during his prime, he outmatched every cricketer at world stage, for three consecutive calender years he was the leading run scorer. He was a beast when it came to batting.
Not to forget the 100 odd wickets he took, those came in handy too. I remember he won 5 consecutive man of the match awards which is some of a record.

Yes, I think that generation was special, and that was not only Indian team but all other teams around the world. Quality of cricket was very high, difficult pitches, hostile conditions, tough bowling, great batsmanship, what else do you want? Nowadays we win more matches but that liking for Indian team has somewhat got diluted
