Amongst all the TRS Episodes we've ever done, this was truly a dream for me. Can't be more honoured and excited about having Sourav Ganguly on The Ranveer Show. His book "A Century Is Not Enough - Sourav Ganguly" is my all-time motivation. In this episode, I've specifically spoken about that one book that taught me the most crucial leadership lessons.
Sourav Ganguly, affectionately known as Dada, is an Indian cricket administrator, commentator, and former national cricket team captain who is the 39th and current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). During his playing career, Ganguly established himself as one of the world's leading batsmen and also one of the most successful captains of the Indian national cricket team. He took the Indian cricket team to greater heights than anyone could imagine.
In this episode, we spoke about his new venture Dream Set Go, his love for football, the IPL, and of course, cricket. We also discussed some very important things needed to achieve the impossible, a killer mindset and drive to defeat all odds. Enjoy this fantastic episode of TRS. Sourav Ganguly - Leadership, Life Lessons & Cricket Stories.

For 90's kids Dada was an emotion❤️ and 2003 wc team was best ever Indian team, just missed those days
@@ARGHYADEY-bj6ev dada only built the team, dhoni just reaped the fruits
@@ARGHYADEY-bj6ev you are a novice and it shows.
@@ARGHYADEY-bj6ev that's why you are a novice. Learn the sport first then come here to comment. Hahaha
@@ARGHYADEY-bj6ev Going by that logic, Mohd Azharuddin, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Tiger Pataudi, etc were all even bigger panotis than Dada, yet they were the stalwarts of Indian cricket. When you want to compare, you need to compare against people who played with them in the same generation or those who came just before, not with those coming afterwards. So, just like it is illogical to compare Kapil Dev with Mohd Azharuddin, it is illogical to compare Dada with Dhoni. It is just a pity that Dada always took the team when the team was at the lowest point, whether we talk about Indian Team and match-fixing scandal, or we talk about BCCI. Just when Dada settled the team (India) and the board (BCCI), he was kicked out and never given the chance to reap the benefits of all the hard work he put in.
When you are at the lowest point, you first need to come out of the hole, then settle, and then reap the benefits. In case of Dada, he was there for the first two stages, but someone else took the positives of the third stage. And noobs like yourself think it's the new man who did all the good job.
So, mr/ms AD, why don't you just take your tiny cricket brain and shove it up your .... wherever you came from!
I believe India’s 2003 campaign was probably their best ever. Unfortunately they were undone by the greatest sports Team of all time
Saurav Ganguly was my classmate in St Xaviers college , kolkata, he hardly came to college, laid back , he was hardly in to fitness , but boy when he played the cover drive , it was like a musician . He bought aggression into the sport & installed belief that the job can be done . The dressing room sequence at lords of the Natwest trophy is a defining period in the anals of cricket history.

"Leadership is not a burden but an opportunity" what a wonderful statement from idol of millions. Great conversation I must say.
People talk about his captaincy, but it was his batting skills that was equally stellar, although he sacrificed his spot for younger stars like Sehwag but during his prime, he outmatched every cricketer at world stage, for three consecutive calender years he was the leading run scorer. He was a beast when it came to batting.
Not to forget the 100 odd wickets he took, those came in handy too. I remember he won 5 consecutive man of the match awards which is some of a record.

Ya bro... That era was so special... We had antena tv, games would come in dd national... Noisy, kept antena moving until it was clear.. and the whole community would come and watch cricket... uff!! Hell of an episode. touched my heart. huge Cricket fan and Sourav Gangulay Fan.
Sourav Ganguly, aka dada has been my favorite since forever quite literally! I relate to it when you say he has been an idol! There's so much to learn from this man, both from his ups and downs!
Just looking how much growth this guy achieve in 6-7 years motivates me very much.. 🔥❤
One of the most finest person and truly a gentleman.
That line
"Its not a burden...its an opportunity"
100% agree. It is so impressive to see you grow Ranveer. Also, Saurav Ganguly - no words can justify his contribution to Indian cricket. He was all mind over matter. Loved it, seeing two of my favorite hoomans together. Wonderful interview.
The podcast went soo smoothly, didn't notice how these 40 minutes went, thank you dada and thank you ranveer, and just wanna say just keep doing, enjoy the process, handle the troughs, and just move forward.
Bengalees are proud for DADA. He is a National Gem. Once a Gangulian, always a Gangulian❤
Hats off to him for the way Indian cricket team's thinking. He changed the way a new young player feel in the dressing room...
