Destiny 2: One Last Retrospective Before The End

- I look back through all Destiny 2 expansions and decide whether Destiny 2 was always trash or not. And also why Lightfall is the worst thing ever created. This video is mostly used as a way to share my feelings on the current state of Destiny and what the future holds. I got most of my info from research on Reddit as well as my own recollection of what old D2 was like, so if I got anything wrong let me know in the comments.

Gotta tell ya, I was skeptical of you given all the edginess at the beginning. But you revealed you know a lot about the game, its story, its development, and its faults. Thanks for making your video, it was a nice retrospective, even if you missed out on my favourite part (Arrivals).

The final shape isn’t the last destiny 2 expansion. Just because it had final in the name doesn’t mean it’s the last expansion.
I believe bungie mentioned that the final shape would be the last expansion the game receives as we go to a trimester system of content updates.

i like the story, but as a returning player (like from 5-7yrs ago) idk... it absolutely sucks for returning players, its clustered and messy af both in HUD, menus, tutorial, like everything. theres no good direction. but once youre used to everything its fun. i enjoy the story and lore, but they dont fkn explain it - not everyone has time to watch a 4hr lore dump including story that THEY REMOVED FROM THE GAME and still mention in some dialogue. if you havent played before, its a mess. but the actual gameplay is fun and satisfying.

Destiny is the closest thing we have to a Halo Reach 2 so even if the game has a predatory monetization i really can't find another game like Reach
The Sagira ghost shell is still great and has never coke off my warlock. And considering i did this in the last 3 weeks before it got vaulted. I say worth it. Though considering i never touched it until it was going away does say how boring it was

it's too bad you didn't do season of the witch, i actually enjoyed it. Having Sivu kicked out of the ascendant plane by fucking eris seems thematic as fuck. I guess its hate to hate? idk man.

Destiny is shallow. The game desperately attempts to have depth but the repetitive game loop is so unbelievably tiresome it struggles to hold my interest no matter what dlc they release. That being said. I have been forcing myself to play the game alot more to prepare for Final Shape. But god dude, I am constantly turned off by how thirsty for money this franchise is. Warframe by far is a much more enjoyable game with so much more diversity and a main questline that gets better the deeper you go into the game. Destiny however, lmao I skip all the cutscenes bc I literally just want to get through the content in the game as fast as possible

@ethanhensley9355 repetitive? Yes. Boring? No, with tons of weapons, frames, companions, content to grind plus the amount of builds to try and not to mention the more recent FREE FUCKING EXPANSIONS brought to the game nah bro. Warframe is similar to D2 in that it's repetitive. But the amount of fun you can have I the game without needing to fork over $500+ on fuckin expansions and anuual passes no bro warframe is by far the better space shooter mmo.
