I've been saying for YEARS the Vex are so uninteresting because they cannot communicate with us. Having a Vex villain that can speak would be huge.
True but splicer was a good season.
Another thing linking the Ishtar scientists/Praedyth to the black garden is that, as shown in the Aspect lore book, their escape was made possible by pulses of darkness(?) energy entering the Vex network via the black garden, the same pulses that reactivated the Undying mind and kicked the Sol Divisive into action in season of Undying.

Dude i used to listen to your lore videos back in the original D1 days! I evetually stopped playing D2 after its release and havent seen your content in years. I randomly ran into your content again and i'm so glad you are still doing lore videos, that was one of my favorite pass times, deep diving into destiny lore with your narration. I feel like the Nine is gonna be the focus on the next story arc, they are hinted so far at being more powerful than the witness.

Honestly? I think a dope Idea would be fighting against the light. I can't remember if it was true or not but if the 2 truths and a lie by Savathun mentioned there's more travelers, it'd be dope to have a story where they were like "Who gave you this power? You're not worthy. It was a mistake." And the only one on our side was the one on Earth. The reason why it kept trying to leave was because it didn't want to get caught helping 'The Unworthy." New enemy factions would be Dread, Fighter Vex, Angelics (random name I'm giving the Light enemy faction), and they empowered the Lucent Hive even further (in hopes that ultimately we'd weaken each other's population and they'd clean up the remains.) Maybe throw Aphelion's in there and other 'supposedly dead' races?

Bungie has said the episodes are separate entities, no order to play in and they handle the aftermath of the final shape.

I was actually kinda wondering if the voice we hear in the final shape trailer and breakdown is that of one of the vex researchers or their simulation of a vex researcher given there’s the simulations of each of them.
I still wonder how the one star cat got into that area, and what it was doing there with the symbol.

I honestly think we'll go into an interlude for a couple years. We still need a conclusion to the Vex story from lightfall, Xivu and Savathun are still out there and the Cabal will want help to retake Torobatl.
Bungie could very easily wrap up these stories while we wait for what I'm almost certain will be destiny 3
Where I'm nervous is I feel like we're in a precarious spot for "what comes next" with just how Bungie intentionally severed so many loose ends to specifically beeline the story down to very particular areas, after a certain point we'll be eventually left with them just making stuff up with very loose basis or very little prior context. We've even seen this recently with Ahsa's lore in Deep that not only contradicted some things we learned barely over a year prior with Rhulk stuff(which had its own weight in tweaking established lore especially for the Hive) , but further retconned far removed lore like the concept of ancient beings like Leviathans and how they now are tied into Worm Gods when they were always a separate thing.
I get Bungie has a relatively light bench to work with and will want to keep the game going on for ages, but I'm not sure how confident I feel for essentially waiting for something to be forced into urgency in the story when it is not super well deserved or earned.
It could be interesting for them to develop new narratives while we're 'busy' - If they decide that years has passed while we're in the Traveller, or, we can't get out, it could lend credence to the Vex threat, Hive threat, and Scorn threat that come in the episodes being so large, with them possibly running amok. We might come back to a city run by the Consensus, with the Vanguard all in the Pale Heart, etc.

it should be mentioned that a great example of the current Scorn, is told in the lore from Warlord’s Ruin. Not so much the background of Hefnd, Shaxx, and Naeem. More specifically when/why we get involved.

Im not well versed but the race that found the traveller unearthed it right? How did it get there in the first place?
I feel like the witness didn't get enough build-up to be meaningful. When compared to Savathuan and the Witch Queen. Like the final shape collectors, Lore feels like something we should have gotten a year ago. Woth that said thr episodes have me very intrigued as it seems bungie is eager to dive into those with the 1st episode rifhr after the raid.

I still don't get the Maya returns as a Vex villain theories. Those recordings more or less revealed the last of the real Maya very likely died within Lakshmi-2 during Season of the Splicer. Its Chioma Esi they actually hinted might return as Vex villain. In the final recordings= she admits to calling the Vex over so she can see one of Maya's copies. She sounded defeated and desperate, the perfect makings of a villain turn.
The Scorn gaining intelligence and society was hinted back in Season of the Lost first where they apparently had some sort of Crucible style fight pit in the Ascendant Realm. Its only the Witness's variants who are mindless.
Not convinced we hit a final confrontation with Xivu in Heresy. She feels too much like campaign/raid level boss to do that unless we get a Dungeon completely attached to the main story like Shattered Throne or Heresy is much bigger than expected. I assume what we see in Heresy just builds Xivu back up with the next and/or final D2 expansion being Xivu's defeat.

Bungie love a red herring. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a generic guardian giving you a speech as they sacrifice themselves for something. The whole trailer has multiple guardians fighting together so it's highly likely this is the case.

Don’t know. But that reminds me back when D2 launched that Luke Smith said we don’t even know what the Darkness is. Though he could have meant “we” as in the player community and the characters in the game world, and not Bungie.
I'm ready to criticize any shortcomings as much as anyone else. But also they said time and time again that they're not gonna quit destiny and they do know what they're doing if you let the devs cook.

I'm guessing it will just involve Asher returning since like, no-one outside a lore fan knows about Pradyeth's story since VOG's story was mainly in D1. i guess its possible Asher finds them and introduces us but i'm not crossing my fingers yet.

Oh ok I see. The episodes are just Bungie tying up all the loose ends in the story before the release of Destiny 3 next year.
Probably more 2026 or 2027. There are already another set of Episodes slated for 2025 after the first three. We just don't know their names beyond rumors.

@@doglorde it just feels like he sabotaged his UA-cam channels. He was so outwardly negative about how he feels/felt about destiny. Which is totally fine, I've no issue with that. But he wound up making a different channel as a result of that. Then on that channel he was outwardly negative about other games as well. Now whenever he posts about Destiny hers on this page, it feels sort of blatantly like "I hate it here, but it gets views". Maybe it's just me 🤷🏿♂️ lol. ignore me 😂
