Bro, the x-men stories from mutant massacre to age of apocalypse has to be one of the most iconic ages in the history of story telling. Seriously, the creative team that produced those incredible runs are giants of the industry. There have been many peaks and valleys for the X-titles over the years but love seeing the current animated show X-Men 97 incorporating events from fatal attractions in modern media. We appreciate these wonderful stories being brought to life on this site!
Messiah Complex is pretty dope. Cyclopes goes dark, starts xforce back up with wolverine at the head and actually starts assassinating anti mutant leaders.
@@centraltimegamers2977 that was the time I actually thought xmen were in serious decline and didn't read as much......the glory years were long gone as was xmen's run as the dominant title in comics....only thing I really liked from that era was uncanny x-force
I love all these long stories. Keep up the great work. Perhaps you can do Black Suit/Venom Saga,Classic Spawn, Daredevil, Punisher, FF, Avengers stories, Death of Captain Mar’vell , The DC side you could do Tower of Babel, Blue/Red Superman, Judas Contract etc etc. Don’t get me wrong. This channel helps get me thru my night shift. Just throwing out ideas as to not just make it X-men/Batman stories
Love it when xforce leaves after the series end. Cannonball lectures. There can't just be two sides, the open hand and the closed fist. The closed hand is normally associated with violence and destruction. He demonstrates, however, that a closed fist can also hold and protect by producing a mouse from his hand. The open hand is normally a connotation of an extended hand in friendship. It can also be a way to inflict violence. Cannonball attempts to slap Xavier. Stopping him in time, Xavier sees the point and passively accepts Cannonball's views of black and white
new mutants/x-force, sam/boomer in particular, have been treated like the proverbial leftover foster kids by xavier AND magneto. shuffled between placements hither and yon, child soldiers largely fending for themselves in a war they didn't choose until Cable turned up and taught them how to fight "dirty" and look out for "friends and family first". Charles looks down on them for not embodying the values and virtues of :::wrist to forehead::: The Dream, when Charles himself doesn't live up to them. how many times has Charles mind-frelled every human being on the planet to cover up his own screwups and crimes against sentient life. perhaps the people he's mind wiped and memory blocked (so they don't know how many people have died and been tortured in the name of charles' dream of "coexistence") will hear his endless prattling from the ALLEGED moral high ground and thank him for their violation....
I read these comics to death as a child. I loved them! I made sure to get the old Cable and Stryfe ToyBiz figures from the X-Force toyline. There's a really cool What If...? book What If Stryfe Killed The X-Men? And it's it's a cool alternate, dark ending.
I have enjoy your videos a lot, would been nice if you put the fathers and sons story from cable (#6 to #8) this is the reveal of who is the real Nathan Summers
This was one of the best crossovers. While the art on a few issues was sloppy, the writing was top notch. It pulled together events and characters from multiple years, and none of the characters were twisted into knots because of lazy writing.
I remember this was the big crossover event that was going on when the 1992 X-Men cartoon first aired. That's why the look of the characters from the cartoon is so similar to the look in these books. The show "sort of" adapted it in the first season with Cable and Bishop's time travel episodes, but it was greatly simplified and not nearly as good IMO. But even the more recent X-Men 97 incorporated some aspects of this story into the plots. As good as the cartoon is (bot the original 90s cartoon and the recent X-Men 97) I just wish they would slow down the pace a bit so that they could tell these whole stories with the same depth the comics did. But I guess I can't complain, the cartoons are the best book to screen adaptation of the X-Men we've seen so far.
when jean and scott kiss while taking off using the telekenetic rope has to be the most iconic image of their relationship for me. I remember just randomly picking up an x-men comic at the pharmacy and flipping through the pages and there it was. I wanted to know everything about how things got to the point but I had no idea where to start, and there was no way I could start a story somewhere in the middle. it took a long long time to finally catch up to that moment and it still didn't answer the biggest question I had, why did they need a rope? couldn't she fly?

Messiah complex is the dopest of the more modern x men stuff for sure
I loved this storyline .This is when I was reading /collectingcomics.
Damn, you keep hitting great storylines! I can't believe how often you put these out bc the amount of work that goes into it. Appreciate the videos

Age of Apocalypse was well after this (Was mentioned in the lead up to Xavier's shooting)...Regardless these are great, keep it up!!!
Was gonna say the same.
Yeah, I was confused about what exactly he was trying to say there.
These are conveyed masterfully, Nuff Said!! Pls pls keep doing X-Men story arcs! 🔥🔥🔥🤟🔥
Batman is my favorite character but X-Men has always been my favorite comic book
This is my alltime favorite xmem crossover...
Mine too. Actually still have my 90s X-Force comics around somewhere...
Thank you so much. I absolutely love this story
Glad you enjoy it!

Bro! Thank you for these awesome videos!
Great vid, really enjoyed it.
How’d yall know I needed this in my life?
Loved this so much! Still have all the comics
Absolutely brilliant and epic 👏 👌
good times for sure....it wasn't until the mid 2000s I kind of checked out of xmen...
Scott and Madelyne Pryor had a baby named Nathan. Jean and Scott had Rachel Summers
Thank you. Either he knew that and did that on purpose or he didn't really read the comics.
Damn good job. Love this.
early 90s when this first hit i had all 13 issues,📚 always got love for this.
Best marvel story ever
My mans needs to do more videos. These are nice!!
Do a Watchmen one!
I'm bored, me too, let's go, we're gone
🔥💟🖤 AWESOME VIDEO 🖤💟🔥
You keep mentioning Age of Apocalypse, but that was a few years after this.
the battles between X-men and X-force is kind of like the superhuman civil war, with Cap's team being X-force.
This is my fav Xmen event.
This video made me appreciate some Marvel Snap characters more :)
This happened way before AOA.

jae lee's run on x factor was interesting, but really didn't mesh with the rest of the X books.
Nice

The 90s were an era of rushed products thanks to insane deadlines. The writing and artwork would be garbage for long stretches.
2:04:08 so great of a story
In which issues do we know what happens with Cable and Stryfe?
❤❤❤
Apocalypse vs Cyclops after Nathan's gone, which
issue?
.....ummm Madeline Pryor is Cable/Nates Mom
Good. I'm not the only one that caught that, thanks for calling it out!
for some reason, probably some kind of mr sinister clone fuckery, jean still has access to Maddy's memories. Cable sorta recognizes her as "mom"
Good catch!
wait, Madelyne Pryor was really Nate's mother. 4:35 Age of Apocalypse was way after this event. Unremembered publicly.

Wonder woman war of the gods, Avengers the gathering, spider man tombstone, batman the resurrection of ras AL ghul plz
I thought Logan smoke cigars? 🤔
How can Wolverine have broken ribs?
What's with the southern reads?
If you need an editor familiar with X-Men history to go over these scripts to remove the errors Id be more than happy to do it.
Agreed. Seriously underrated saga specially by the "intellectual" comic readers 😂🤢
cool comic, tho i prefer messiah war, hate the art style tho
Days of the future past?? You sound like Screen Crush
No,too many characters
I use to have a couch fullev cushions. But i threw them all away. Now they call me "The x-cushioner"
