You can permanently kill skeletons like these by attacking their corpse, you also get runes for killing them when you do this.

Doesn't matter what damage you do, you can kill them when they're down with anything

​@Heckyea195 you don't need holy damage when you knock them down either, you can kill them the first time permanently if you use a holy weapon like the Golden Order Greatsword

Skeletons can be killed by attacking the downed body once you first kill it before they revive. They can also be outright killed by a weapon with a Holy imbuement on it, like holy slash, it stops them from reviving at all. You get souls from them once they are killed in either of these ways.

@ Gamer Heroes, you actually can defeat any those who live in death enemies with normal weapons. When they fall down their bodies emit a white glow. Smack the white glow before they reassemble and they stay dead and you get your runes.

Thank you! I killed the Dragon and expected it to be to drop a bridge. or it guards the Lever for it.
I did drop a Shiny down, and it broke. So i didn't even consider this.

You can actually kill these enemies, just hit the blue light that appears over their corpse after you your initial "kill"
