The fact that I can never get thiolliers concoction, and as a result the insanely good reward that comes with it, because I went in the direction the game TOLD ME TO GO IN is such a scar on an otherwise great dlc
These are some really nice secrets. So much to discover in this DLC. One useful secret I found from another youtuber, you can use Margit or Mogh's shackles on a locked Spirit Spring, and it will unlock it, no need to look for the pile of rocks and break it to enable the spring.
Want to let everyone know the hanging pots containing the Bell Bearings can be broken using either of the Shackles. You do not need to shot them. I found this out by accident but this can be useful for those that don't really used ranged weapons. Just wanted to put that out there.
That's is pretty cool, didn't think about that. It also works on the stones that block the spirit spings (at least the ones that are close by). But who doesn't have a bow or crossbow in their inventory? You should have one by accident and arrows or bolts from just going through the world. I always have a bow in my inventory since DS1 days. Its so useful. You can pull enemies one by one from a group, pick them of from a safe distance, distract them by shooting an arrow (ER has even arrows for that now), use it to "aim" your view for spells and things like breaking these pots. I wouldn't want to use bows as a main weapon, but as a back up they're really nice have.

I hate how people defend it by saying ‘just pay attention’ as if we’re somehow meant to know that literally just stepping foot in the shadowkeep can block questlines.
Absolutely sucks to find out that the reason why the world felt empty and NPCs were just missing was because I crossed some imaginary line. The DLC really provides too little guidance in where you're supposed to go. I accidentally beat the final boss with 40% of the map still unexplored, went to see these places afterwards and they felt like a joke because they were obviously meant to be explored before even entering Shadow Keep but this was just never even implied. On top of the fact that they were hidden behind laughably missable hidden entrances...

Did anyone else notice by the Shadowkeep that it looks like the Moon is being siphoned by the Scadu Tree? I first noticed it by the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. Been waiting for a loreturber to try and explain what's happening and what it might suggest.
The Florissax quest is incredible and worth suffering through the Bayle fight twice for. The weapon at the end of the normal version is one of the best in the game. Hearts both slap, too. And the alternate end gets you that surprisingly powerful incantation and the other thing that's also amazing, so there's that. Also both Bayle spells hit like a train made of other smaller trains, even though the two slots are BS and his lightning claw has the reach of basically a single pixel. That one pixel will be burned to death, at least.
@@davethescrub858 It's the single angriest spot on your screen. Especially if you can survive running rock dragon form. Doable in the DLC, but outside it you're just going to be living off crabmeat and prayers. I wish they'd buff Dragonbolt of Florissax to 15 or 20 so it's not just worse Golden Vow though. Would be the ideal way to run dragon anywhere outside the shadow realm.

I love the dlc, I’m in NG+ at this point, but the automatic shattering of the rune with no warning when you walk into the wrong area is awful. I completely ruined my first play through by accident and missed out on what sounds like some really cool new characters/stories. You can’t make an open world game which gives very little direction to the player and encourage exploration and then say “haha fuck you, you explored too far and now you have to go into NG+ to understand the story properly”

You can jump up the back wall of the of the place the sleeping golem is blocking, so it’s not necessary to wake him up if you don’t have the means to kill him or don’t want to yet
Stbled on another use for the shackles. I found an invisible wall in upper Rauh & was using a shackle to look for more when I discovered they can work on locked Spirit Springs stacked stones as well.

That’s what I love so much about Elden Ring. I found that note outside the shadow keep when I also figured out you could farm those 6 enemies around the nearby dead furnace golem for furnace visages. With the silver tear mask and the silver scarab, they were dropping visages like 30% of the time. I got a dozen of them in like 20 minutes. But I was farming from the site of grace right outside the bossfight in the shadow keep and i broke the Great Rune going into the place. But as soon as I read that message knew what I had to do. Well sorta. I thought just throwing them at their feet would take off lots of health but I was wrong. Then I saw that many of them were near cliffs and I figured id try to throw one in their head and sure enough, BOOM. I also use the companion jar talisman and the Great Jar helm to increase pot damage.
I recommend collecting the sword first from the Fogrift Catacomb. If i am right, this will make the LIGHT version on the bridge and the DARK in the Wateringhole. In my game i collected it at the Wateringhole and had to enter Fogrift to turn it DARK
I'm going to mention Mohg's Shackle (or Margit's). if you shackle near the pots, they will break. If you don't see them or don't have a bow to shoot them down.
some great advice here... can't wait to get into a NG+ already. I wonder what would happen if you dual wielded both sword of dark and light at the same time?
Just a tip for those who foolishly wasted their furnace pots before finding the note and didn't have enough to beat the fortified wicker bosses, you can wait until you get more visage crafting items later in the game (so far they are very rare), or you could do like me and use sorcery (or an equivalent ranged miracle) to beat it by slowly whittling its health, you can attack the face with long range spells like Loretta's Greatbow which you can charge up and fire while riding on Torrent (it was dealing 5k damage per hit with the magic tear buff active).
I just found the Church of Dragon Communion. I would have never figured out that. Thanks for the tip. Here's a tip of mine that you missed with the walking mausoleums. You can duplicate the dlc rememberences at the walking mausoleums in the Lands Between and cash them in at the Roundtable Hold for rememberence items. Also, I found a cheese for Edred and a cheese for Sennesax.
Thanks a lot, your videos really help as I'm good at learnig boss patterns and fighting strategies but terrible in open world exploration and discovering secrets so I tend to miss so much cool stuff in my playthrough.
I accidentally went too close to shadow keep and would love to know if I've broken any questlines can u please release a video explaining the things u need to do b4 this point in the game thanks Dom ur a true legend
Just a quick FYI for everyone. You can still duplicate DLC remembrances in the base game walking mausoleums. I did it yesterday and duplicated the last bosses remembrance and shadow keep boss remembrance in Weeping peninsula & liurnia with no issues.
A note: when you progress Moore's questline too far, where he asks you to help him decide how to feel about his situation, it seems all the Forager's Brood vanish (except the ill one, where Moore can be found later).
About the NPC questlines -- seems like we need a comprehensive guide that covers all of them in one video, since many of them overlap. Not sure if you're doing that, but maybe a guide that covers the overlapping ones, and separate videos on the ones that can be completed on their own. I just find it difficult to know the order of operations of some of these NPCs without breaking the quests.
YES, of course we need all the secrets. THIS is why ER and the DLC are worth their price - it isn't just 40 hours of serious skill testing, it's months of discovery and NG for duel wielding and trying different builds and testing all the buff stacking to find one-shot combos. I don't care about Miquella's obsessions and ambitions, but I do care about swag and leveling and trying out all of the weapons, spells, incantations, potions, talismans, and ...). I expect to still be playing ER+DLC into Winter while waiting for anything nearly as good to earn my attention.
01:45 It is not an "incredibly powerful" spell, it's Golden Vow at home. It does the same, except it gives NO dmg boost and instead it boosts the dmg negation of blocking ,which is for most builds worse than having the regular Golden Vow, or even the ash of war version. It also lasts for a slightly shorter time and requires a much higher faith to cast. The problem is it could have done SOMETHING different or at least stacked with Golden Vow somehow, then it would actually be worth it. As it is, only buils that regularly block and have 52 or more faith can get any real use, which isn't the worst thing in the game, but something so niche doesn't have many uses, especially when you could just use Golden Vow anyway.
If you give Jolán the iris of occultation you get the sword and she passes peacefully. Even her dialogue seems peaceful. If you give her the other one she pretty much dies stressfully as she can no longer see the stars.

In my game i collected it at the Wateringhole and had to enter Fogrift to turn it DARK
there were actually ones i didnt know about, surprised, more pls :)
Great vid thanks for the tips without the spoliers!
I crossed the line
I was not ready
Thank you for a glorious video
Wow! Thanks! I refrained from watching anything like this until I spent a while in the DLC, and I prettyu much missed all the goodies.
Dom, you know that your videos are always well received and we always want more. Thank younfor another great video!
I had no idea about the forager brood... I think I killed a few of them cause ..string bugs ...ty for the Information lol
I'm going to mention Mohg's Shackle (or Margit's). if you shackle near the pots, they will break. If you don't see them or don't have a bow to shoot them down.
That creepy area with the madness in it where you can't use your mount holy moly
some great advice here... can't wait to get into a NG+ already. I wonder what would happen if you dual wielded both sword of dark and light at the same time?
Of course we want more of these videos my boy!!!! Waited 2 years for em!!😅
How did i miss it dlc is 4 days old lol thankfully you posted this
Plethora of secrets!
You’re the man. Great content and presented brilliantly!
When you activate the furnace golem at the watering hole, you can throw pots in its head from the same place for a very easy kill.
I didn’t think I was going to learn anything 😂. I can’t believe how much I didn’t know.
I love this series, man. Keep them coming. As a fellow Dragon lore and magic enjoyer, thank you. 🎉
You can use the old mausoleums for the new remembrances :)
Soooo excited to watch these till then I have my fingers in my ears and closing my eyes 😂
Mind blown like 10 times, good thing my second character is ready. 🎉
Oh dear, I'm already well past the shattering line... I hope I'm not cut off from getting those awesome looking Spirit Ashes.
Thanks a lot, your videos really help as I'm good at learnig boss patterns and fighting strategies but terrible in open world exploration and discovering secrets so I tend to miss so much cool stuff in my playthrough.
16:13 It can be hefty fire pot, not furnace pot. Furnace pot is expensive.
I accidentally went too close to shadow keep and would love to know if I've broken any questlines can u please release a video explaining the things u need to do b4 this point in the game thanks Dom ur a true legend
Btw u can do the remembrance dupe in the base Elden ring map as well for DLC ones so u don’t need to choose wisely 5:02
I'm so mad I missed the opportunity to get Moore's cookbook because I beat Messmer RIGHT before I got to help all the foragers. Augh.
Nice video, that's a lot of secrets.
Fantastic as always 👏
YES, of course we need all the secrets. THIS is why ER and the DLC are worth their price - it isn't just 40 hours of serious skill testing, it's months of discovery and NG for duel wielding and trying different builds and testing all the buff stacking to find one-shot combos. I don't care about Miquella's obsessions and ambitions, but I do care about swag and leveling and trying out all of the weapons, spells, incantations, potions, talismans, and ...). I expect to still be playing ER+DLC into Winter while waiting for anything nearly as good to earn my attention.
Glad I have multiple characters ready to redo the DLC, missed so many things haha
Hey Dom, I not sure if you covered this but you can dupe remembrances at a few coffins with the bodies on them, there’s one outside Ymir’s castle.
I haven't covered the sarcophagus in full in any video but yes I have found that one 😊
As soon as I read your message it pop up in your video.
Is there a way to revive an npc you killed in the DLC? When I go to the chruch of vows it says I dont need absolution but I killed Igon by accident
Awesome video ❤️
