I recommend to get a clear semi direct dye to dilute your semi color because it helps keep it super shiny and vibrant, yes conditioner helps but the conditioner dilutes the shine from the semi that is made to be very vibrant

Color has always been my Passion, and as we all know the learning never ends. I love the foil trick! You always have a mess once you move the sections down to start the front, no matter how clean you apply, so excellent tip. I’ll be using this daily👍😁

I have been watching your videos for a couple of days now. You are amazing! There are other famous hair gurus, like Guy Tang, who do incredible colors on their clients' hair, but what you create is so much more wearable every day. :) I have dark Asian hair and have not been coloring or bleaching it for at least a few years, because it is hard to maintain any colors. After watching your videos, though, I want to try something fun, like the golden rose that you have been showing us. Thank you so much for the inspiration!!

Hunny, you are so informed and accurate. Can I suggest something? You keep using the word "precision" as an adjective. It is a noun. "You achieve a lot of precision with this comb" is correct, but you said "I am going really precision" multiple times. You would say, I am being very "precise" with her hair. Only trying to help cuz you're video is really good and I enjoy watching you more than other people because you don't sound whiny or fake and it was incredibly thorough

That was quite a lot of work! Can you do a break down on what this service is called? Cause I saw you cut, bleached, did the roots, but also did a smudge root, and refreshed the hair. I don't know how one would explain this to a client? Is it considered color correction and full color? Thank you!

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  5 років тому +12

I love the pink! I would love to see a dark brown shadow root that goes into a very deep pink shadow only the edges (just to give the illusion of a pink shadow coming off the dark roots) that then goes into a bright silver with multi-color pink streaks (pastel pink, some bright pink, medium etc). Also, a mix of pastel and bright pink highlights around the face. I have been looking for something like this forever. I see certain parts but never the entire look on one person. If you ever get a chance to do this look please I would be forever grateful.

loved seeing how you used one formula for the roots and then took that as a base to create for the mids to ends - I like the way you think!
I also like how you shared your platinum retouch with using foil to protect the other hair. You make it all look so easy! because it can be :) thanks! I also like that you share the timing of how long takes to do. sometimes I think I’m slow but now I realize I’m not🌟 lol just wondering what you would have charged her for this.

This couldn’t have come at a better time! I need your help with formulation, if you don’t mind me picking your brain.
The owner of the salon I work at wants me to help her with her daughter in laws hair. She added pink to her prelightened hair today (it was at a level 9 YELLOW tone) and when she added the pink, the girls hair was more of a tangerine 🍊 color, after processing.
What can I we do to help her have cotton can’t pink hair she wanted? We added the pravana pink Pastel color btw! Thanks in advance!!!!

I usually don't give out formula advice, sorry about that! I would brain storm with the stylist's in your salon and work together!

Yellow and pink make orange, either do a darker pink or pre tone the yellow out of the hair :)

Taylor Redmond thank you so much! Toning out the yellow makes so much sense.

What does the acid milk rinse do? Is it to close the cuticle?

Hey there I love your work! I saw you were using metallic color on her hair. Does that cause any issues while lifting? Or is it just the name of the color?

Loved it! Thanks so much. I do have some questions though, help me please! I went to a salon to lighten my hair. its prob about a level 9, and i started around level 6? Then i wanted a blush/pastel pink colour. I want to retouch myself at home due to my personal budget :D I am trying to find a good solution to get the least damaging to my hair. I think i should touch up my routs witch bleach/30 vol. Then also bleach my mids and ends because i want a level 10. dye my roots, and then mids and at last my ends with cause they're probably dry AF so they would suck in the colour faster so i don't have darker ends. Do you have any tips for me?

Go to a salon. In a salon just applying the bleach takes us 45 minutes, at home that is going to take much more time and you will end up having overlapped bleach.
Even though she used 30 & 40 vol she added something to dilute the speed and it lifted with the power of a 20
Nothing over 20 is recommended on scalp bc it will sting and burn
The power is in the powder
If that powder lifts 7 levels all the developer does is determine speed
If you use 40vol it's 4x it's speed meaning you need to work 4x faster to get it on properly and you're doing it at home?
      No
These are color corrections and require meticulous application
High maintenance colors are high maintenance
If you can't afford a salon then ask for a lived in color option
Otherwise when you go back to a salon youre paying more for the fix than if you kept up with it in a salon
