  • Long Bleach Regrowths can be a nightmare especially if you didn’t expect it!
    You are left with lots of problems the heat from the scalp creating extra lift, a cold zone after the 1st 1cm can be a real nightmare in the salon and of course the clients don’t appreciate what they’ve left you facing!
    so many times my clients go outside of that four/five-week regrowth period due to circumstances and they expect perfect results as if they come in bang on that four to Five week period, And I absolutely know that hairdressers Up and down the county will be having exactly the same problems I face.
    So I wanted to bring this technique so that if you’re ever in that situation which I’m sure you are a lot that you will have a full proof quick technique to bring out the bag to get the excellent results every time.

    Hands down the most helpful video on this process. Much more realistic in a time crunch setting at the salon. Still takes time - but not everyone has time to do a triple process

    I’ve never seen this technique before, but YES!!! This makes soooo much more sense in my non-trained brain. I’ve only ever done my own hair, but I’m doing someone else’s for the first time today. I will try this. Let you know how it goes! 😅💛

    • @mndlgh
      @mndlgh 3 роки тому +19

      @@silvia7058 Made the mistake of rinsing the bleach too soon, so it was brassy- but at least it was even coverage. She did a bleach bath after, but her hair was left healthy so a win in my book. I definitely recommend the technique! Next time, I'd do a strand test to see how quickly their hair developed FIRST and then use this technique again with the correct amount of time to avoid a do-over or a bleach bath.

      In my bathroom salon, this process makes a lot more sense. After reading articles, and videos in a 2 year hyper fixation gold mine... this process makes far more practical sense hitting on the finer points of lightener chemistry. Plus I'm doing it in a 360 mirror so there are all sorts of wild perspectives to deal with. This process is user friendly.

    You were God sent!! Truly an answer to prayer! I want to thank you for making this video. After completing a lengthy color correction, I then had to go in and match the 2.5 inch regrowth and finalize with a color melt. Using this technique (with 30 vol & blondor) was of great aid in delivering satisfying results!! She left happy, and left the highest tip I've received in my career. What would you class as a good "tip" if you don't mind me asking? Genuinely just curious. Hairdressing generally is a form of art in my eyes. I'm seriously thinking about taking a course and getting qualified. I'm a MUA by trade but over the years I've been drawn more to hair. ❤️

      @@justanotherhuman8592 Generally a decent tip is 20%. I don't recall how much this service was 🤔 but as cliche as this may, sound the largest tip I've received is their trust to return and continue their services. Monetary wise, the tip will always be different based on the service rendered. In this particular case in addition to the cost, the tip was $100 ( +the service). Hair and makeup were once very complimentary to each other so if you can Master both traits that makes you twice as valuable. I would say give it a try. I know the pandemic has changed so much with the whole mask situation. Makeup industry has suffered. Nevertheless that doesn't mean you cannot reinvent yourself. Best wishes!

    Loved this video - i did the low volume on the roots first method no foils and invariably found it worked but wasn’t perfect. I’d say you would need 15-30 mins extra for this on top of normal timing which is reasonable.
    I also would like to add I love the commercial aspect of your teachings and your general vision regarding this channel.
    As someone who eye rolls at the la de da- ness of it all, and an old woman who remembers the more relaxed 90s hair, I find this really refreshing.

    Thank you for this. I am a hairstylist and I use this technique too. I like how you explain too when going very light blonde it's not always perfect because when someone is so dark your looking at multiple sessions to get the perfect light blonde. I know because my hair is a level 4 and now I'm a level 10. Turned out beautifully, and I found using the foils for regrowth it turns out a lot more even. Been a hair dresser 10 years now and took me quite some time to figure all of this out. Good to know I'm doing it right 😍

    Never thought of toning the hair before applying colour... is this because it is a direct deposit colour that you were using? Does this technique help the direct deposit colour last longer?
    This is super helpful to me, thank you so much!!!

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  5 років тому +1

      Face Up the main reason it to gives me a better base to work on, so I can get more vibrant end results and yes it can generally help extend the life of the colour. 👍🏻

    best bleach regrowth video on youtube!
    my only concern is how do you check if the back is ready without those foils falling and sliding?
    since nothing really holds them in place.
    i saw a video where you did this without the foils.
    so do you recommend this technique or the other technique without the foils and why? which one you use more?

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  3 роки тому +1

      ThNk you ✌🏻this is my favourite technique as its easier in my book and in terms of checking the lift if you are careful there is no problems with them slipping and falling out as the surface tension holds the foil in place

    Great technique. Love the end result....what City Beats formulas did you use? Do you use bonding products in the lightener/CB? And what is the longevity with the pretoning? I really like the City Beats.

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  5 років тому +1

      Thank you Heather roots colour city beats purple with a spec of black for crazy colour and the ends the sales formula but with lots of clear. I mainly use PH Bonder from Redken I some times use olaplex I don’t have a favourite doing the pre to definitely increases the longevity of the colour but it hard to say how long it will last in all depends on Porosity, but what I will say is that when it fade if you pre tone it will look a lot more beautiful. I love the fact City beats doesn’t fade green. 😁✌🏻

    why do you have to go back to reapply and put the foils in instead of just placing them at first application? is it because this way you get all the hair covered faster and like to reapply anyway?

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  4 роки тому +4

      Great question yes the reason that I go back in and re-apply the foils is because I will always go and check my application and reapply as necessary so it just seems like a logical thing to do on the second application rather than relying on perfect situation the first time we all miss bits from time to time so I’m always doublechecking triple checking my work. 👍🏻

    Hi, I’d like to ask how long do you leave the bleach to process after you’re done applying it to the whole head ?
    Like around 40min and then start rinsing out the first sections where you started ? Or do you need to check every few minutes ?

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  3 роки тому +3

      I tend to keep an eye on things when I’m using bleach checking it every 5 to 10 minutes if I can if I can’t keep checking it every 5 to 10 minutes then I’ll check it every 15 to 20 I never exceed the manufacturers recommended development time in the case of the products are use which is a maximum development time of 50 minutes attend to rinse the back off first and then the front.
