A govenor can not write or sign any state law that violates the Constitutional rights of his citizens.

I'm newer to firearms and have a small collection, but sadly I live in New Jersey. Currently, before any changes are made, its still a lengthy process to even purchase a pistol. It seems that the process has been made so that its more than likely that many will give up midway. The joke of the matter is that I grew up only a short distance from Camden, a city that is consistently ranked one of the most violent cities in America. Even funnier is that New Jersey, one of the smaller states by area, has several cities on the same ranking. All of this with a handicapped ability of defending ourselves since CCW is impossible to get. This is an indication that the gun control methods taken, has been ineffective at best.
Any further gun control will simply continue what has been happening for many years. I fear that it is too far gone.

When I was in the process of getting my ccw I was amazed on how supportive the authorities are. I was used to how it was in Jersey . They actually support and encourage law abiding citizens being armed in PA.

I live in New Jersey and own at least 23 guns varying between pistols, rifles, and shotguns. All of my guns are in PA with my cousin so that I can at least stay current with my practice. I also served in the Navy and fought for our rights for the Constitution. Sickens me that this state everytime I went for CCW or just to have my guns in state the red tape I had to fight was just to much. Now they are making it even harder for citizens like myself to even have them in my home like WTF. I do my part to try and fight this I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video about my state and the crappy laws to keep people like myself to own any gun here.

I actually moved out of NJ, taking a 20% payout the day they passed the law that you can only buy one handgun a year. I saw the writing on the wall and went home from work to tell my wife to put our house up for sale. I had it with NJ. Moved down south to a gun friendly State where I can buy anything not prohibited by Federal Law, can carry and where just about everyone I talk to either owns guns or is pro gun. What a difference because her they propose pro gun laws while in NJ they propose anti gun laws. In NJ gun owners are on the defensive while here we are on the offensive.
What a big difference and now that I am retired with a state of he art range 15 minutes away , I can shoot every week and have bought over 60 guns in the last 10 years. Best move I ever made. Plus cost of living is so much cheaper here. No mortgage because my NJ house sold for twice as much as my house here costs and I have a lot more property here.
I voted with my feet. I guess it is a matter of how important the 2nd Amendment is to you. Some will not move due to jobs, family, etc.. I was able to get a transfer and move leaving my family behind. It is only an hour plane ride to see them so no big deal. The cost in NJ should be reason enough to leave.

My Permit to Purchase took 75 days plus 2 days for background check for my handgun...but I bought a Mossberg 12ga Shockwave in and out in abt 30 minutes...now tell me what would cause more damage....

If we created a pool across America and everyone contributed we could hire a team of lawyers to start an impeachment on all the politicians who are violating our constitutional rights.
Gun safety courses are great! But they offer another pathway for government to track and regulate through registration, taxes. You end up in a data base.

Left for PA few years ago. Couldn’t be happier. Lifelong dream of being a responsible gun owner / ccw permit holder fulfilled. Feels great to be free. Sad for my NJ friends that never woke up to how their rights are trampled on daily. No one should feel like a criminal for trying to seek out a given right.
I grew up in NJ 1945-64. I had my first gun, a sporterized Mauser, when I was 15. No one thought anything about it. I shot at the Wayside Gun club and carried my gun in a gun case on the train or bus and no one batted an eyelash. What a great place NJ used to be.

I've in Arizona that is the best state for guns because. they passed a law.by great gov for that state u didn't need a permit any more as long as u can legally own one u go to supermarket and C customer carrying a firearm on there side no one gives it a second thought but in new Jersey u would be arrested soon as u left the supermarket. and the crime rate is low take a guess.

The 2nd amendment says we have the right to form a militia the militia is able to bare arms against the government. In order for the militia to stand a chance against a standing army it’s right to bare arms cannot be inhibited. If the government inhibits this right the militia must take action by disregarding any laws that inhibits it’s right. Therefore if you manufacture a fully automatic weapon and someone comes to take it or put you in jail you are legally obligated to shoot them and anyone who supports them. Because the constitution is the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND and every law is inferior to it. If the constitution say uninhibited and the government inhibits then the government has become tyrannical and must be abolished.

I cant get a CC permit because they are declined with the one broad (read: broadly rejected) exception being for self defense due to threats to your life. You can be in serious danger but without proving it which is often impossible you will get no carry permit. If you have enough info to prove the need that is often enough to prosecute so they lead you that way. You basically have to be on a hit list for the mafia and have been shot at numerous times to qualify in their eyes despite being a "may issue" state. They make so many loopholes to allow prosecution that basic things in other states will land you in deep shit here. You can have a threaded barrel and pistol grip which count as 2 out of 2 allowed "evil" features meaning that using your threaded barrel for attachments is impossible since all attachments are evil features and would result in passing your limit. Barrels are allowed no shorter than 14 inches and the whole 9 yards including some shit that makes California look good yet I can still easily get shot walking through Camden or Paterson. It's not about safety, it never was. It is about suppressing the people, we have to deal with this bullshit while Bergen county PD is arming itself like a damn military. What exactly do they need Humvees and APCs for, maybe someone should pass a law regulating military vehicles in police forces. I forgot if it inhibits the government and not the people it is unacceptable. Positive reform is impossible through politics, if the dems got a lead in all bodies of the federal government this shit will happen nationwide. If NJ hasn't been challenged the feds eont be challenged either, we are already at the point where no matter what we do we will be fucked eventually. No more negotiating.

Here's an update from Jersey. Since the chaos of the current times, everyone and their mother are signing up for their permits, including myself. Yes it is a pain in the ass to get one here but also there's a long wait which is a good sign I guess 🤷. I'm picking mine up Tomorrow 🎉

I'm an LEO In NJ. I can say that at least 50% of suspects remanded to the county jails have illegal hand gun, auto-rifles and high capacity magazine charges. Along with armed robbery, domestic violence/endangerment against: women, children, elderly or any one that's looks like an easy pay day. The new 'Bail Reform" lets these criminals go free until their court date which a low percentage even make once out on the bail bracelet because they violate the stipulations of the "conditions of release" cut the bracelet off and go on the run or commit further crime. Gang violence is real and wide spread through out this state and more strict gun control and no concealed carry is not the answer when these perps fire on Police Officers all the time. The answer is stricter punishment for the convicted of acts of violence/gun violence and murder, 3 strike law or re-implement "the Penalty" make them think twice before they act because jail in NJ does not reform the criminal, they wear it as a badge of honor, act as if it's normal to go down for a bid. Now, some people do get reformed, as in the ones that want and need to change but a lot are repeat offenders and don't want to change. The life style of gang banging and quick money is an addiction to them and they will fight among themselves for control of a drug set, over a woman, over shit talking or just because it's easy and they have the means through illegal gun trade among each other or other gangs. It's not the average Joe buying firearms for msrp and selling them at a discount street rate to thugs. Stricter laws on tax paying, law abiding citizens is not the answer. Justice system reform is the answer. A lot of the illegal guns are bought out of state in states with loose gun laws and brought back in. An out of state buyer with a large quantity purchased should raise a red flag and some do get intercepted but some don't. So, more of our rights get infringed upon while these thugs find more creative ways to obtain weapons illegally.
