      I Agree. There is still one stipulation Americans should have comproable weapons gov. has.
      Just for purpose of making rogue parts of gov.or United States gov. On a whole goes Rogue . Like Killery and KLAN. ( Where would we be now if that lying,murdering non feeling woman had cheated in elections enough to win,where would we be again is question,) Most likely RADIOACTIVE DUST floating around in the air still..
      I watched one of mentally retarded speeches she said herself (If I win there will be WAR) Crazy as a shot rabbit.....but what got me most about speech, i would ecpect something like that from her mouth. But the braindead people in the audience ..These dumb assess out in audience clapping and cheering. Idiots u hit ONE MILLION DEGREES CENTIGRADE IN A MILISECOND. I was once asked; “Why do you need an AR-15 with 30 round magazine clip?”
    After thinking about this question and passing over all of the typical “Talking Points” that seem to be thrown around that nobody, on either side of the issue really seem to listen too, I truly asked myself ;Why do I really feel so strongly about this subject? And this is what I came up with;
    I have seen firsthand what happens within a community that is well armed during a crisis, along with communities that were not as well armed.
    1992 LA Riots;
    I witnessed blocks upon blocks of a city that was populated with under-protected civilians. I witnessed communities be utterly destroyed because Law Enforcement was over whelmed by crime that was running rampant in an area where Law Enforcement could not logistically respond to calls in a timely manner. I witnessed “mob mentality” take over entire areas of the city. This left the law abiding/government trusting public that lived and worked in this area to be offered up for the taking from anyone or any group of people who had the notion to do so.
    I saw stores looted to the point where anything and everything was taken from the buildings, even if the stolen items had no value to the perpetrators. I witnessed homes burned to the ground, cars torched; seemingly just to watch them burn. I can still hear screams of unseen people in the night coming from every direction, random burst from firearms scattered throughout the community. I only hoped that some of this gun fire was in defense of honest people caught in the middle.
    As I patrolled the community, doing what I could to help bring some kind of order, comfort and security to the citizens that were trapped in this chaos that was just a short time earlier, a quiet, normal community. I remember thinking “How did this get to this point in such a short amount of time?” I felt like what I was tasked to do was futile at best. The reality started to set in that what we were attempting to do as “Peacekeepers” to help this large devastated/victimized population was a desperate and futile attempt to restore Law and Order.
    Days went by and the destruction seemed to keep growing like a cancer on the body of the city. The devastation I saw, the victimizing of the defenseless public was a lot to take in. One night stands out in my mind; I was riding with an ambulance crew as security, they were responding to a medical call. I was seated in the back of the ambulance as the two paramedics were seated in the front. As we raced to the call I could hear something metallic “tapping” on the outside of the ambulance. I realized that we were taking gun fire! I was thinking, “How could this be happing here in America?” How could people do such horrible things to each other? And for no other reason than they could get away with it. Why would someone deliberately open fire on first responders? This was the stuff you read about in crappy horror novels or saw only on the nightly news, things that occurred only in far off, 3rd world countries.
    Then it happened; I became enlightened.
    After a week or so I was re-attached to a different part of the city, Korea town; as we entered the area, the atmosphere was different, not good, just different. I also noticed that there was little to almost no damage to any of the structures in this community; yes there was damage but nothing like there neighboring communities were suffering from. I remember thinking, “Did the destruction just not make it here yet?” Then I saw it, I did not realize at first what I was seeing. I was young and I saw this world with naive eyes as I grew up in a small community that in no way resembled what I was experiencing.
    At first I was terrified, there were literally two to three armed citizens posted and barricaded on each corner the rooftops of the homes and businesses located on both sides of the streets. Almost all of these men were armed with AR-15 and AK-47 styled long guns.
    The people located in the storefronts and on the sidewalks were also armed with countless hand guns and other assorted firearms. I was thinking, Shit! We are about to get the hell knocked out of us as we were only in a black & white cruiser that was hastily equipped with ballistic vests, draped over the doors for some added protection. The civilians had the high ground and the firepower! We were at their mercy.
    I looked up and made eye contact with one of the armed citizens and he looked back at me, nodded his head, and gave me the “thumbs-Up” signal. At that moment I realized that these were “The Good Guys”.
    At that point in time, I became enlightened to the true meaning of the Second Amendment.
    I saw a community that was able to mobilize itself in an incredibly short amount of time! This enabled them to effectively defend their families, homes, businesses and everything they hold dear from the domestic aggressors. They did what the government could not do; because the local citizens know what they need to-do that will provide protection for their communities, citizens along with their lively hood.
    A central government that is located hundreds, if not thousands of miles away could not possibly defend these citizens as well or muster as quickly and effectively as they did on their own.
    It is my belief that this is one of the many reasons the founding fathers created our Second Amendment. Sure there was no “Tyrannical Government” or “Foreign Power” overthrowing and oppressing our freedoms or our pursuit of happiness, BUT domestic civil unrest can show its ugly head at any time and can just as effectively oppress a population.
    This happened in 1992 in Los Angeles, one of the largest cities in one of the most advanced countries in the world. This was not the first time civil unrest has occurred in our country and with the way society is drifting today along with the lack of understanding and respect of our fellow countrymen that we are destined to repeat the mistakes of our past.
    Sadly, I believe that violent eruptions of civil unrest not unlike the 92 Riots, are inevitable in our countries near future as I witness once again the unrest that is being generated by groups of people like “Antifa” and “Black Lives Matter” that appear to have no problem destroying public property and assaulting people in the name of any cause that does not fit their agenda.
    I love this country and I have the greatest respect for Law Enforcement, Military and our Limited Government but I also believe that citizens are our first line of defense against all threats, both foreign and domestic.
    And this is only one example why I believe I need an AR-15 with 30 a round magazine.

    In case the government fails. During the L.A. Riots, the police abandoned Koreatown to the looters and rioters. It was armed, private citizens that defended their lives and livelihood. The police stated that they lacked the man power to arrest the looters but they still went around arresting the armed Koreans. When i have to defend my family and community, I want the most effective weapon I can operate.

    Sorry guys... this is a long one.....I lived in LA during the LA riots back in 92’. And my mom was the apt manager. My dad was also LAPD. Now during the riots our apt complex was on the corner and there were three other adjacent apt complexes on each corner. My father and some friends (other Officers and friends that had handguns and rifles) stood guard on all points of the roof of our apt complex. (156 units and 4 stories tall) and we saw mobs, and when I say mobs, I’m talking about groups of 40 to 100 people, smashed the main lobby windows of the other buildings and swarmed into the buildings like cockroaches. The three buildings on the other corners apt units (most with people living in them) had their doors kicked in and terrorized and apts looted and violent acts were done to them and their families. One building was set to fire. All of the building had 100 plus units in them. No one could stop them. At the time it was the beginning of the riots and it was such chaos that the LAPD told their officers that they could come to their stations and hold up in them until national guard came in ( which was about 4 to 5 days later) and restored some order to LA. My father had a list of names of the people in our apt complex and family and friends that were allowed to come there. Anyone.... I mean anyone that came close to the front lobby doors had about 10 to 12 barrels pointed at them from the rooftop and if they weren’t on the list they had to get going, no questions asked. There was a group that came out of another building that they ransacked and were heading over to our building. All of the guns were now at the front and aimed down at them. They were warned and they all scattered away like the pieces of shit they were. We lived on the corner of LaFayette Ave and 3rd st. Look it up on google maps. It’s smack in the middle of LA. Long story short, guns that day saved many people property, safety of their families and possibley their very lives. Being able to protect yourself is the only sure thing you can count on in a bad situation, not the police, the government or anyone. When shit hits the fan ( and no one knows when or how that will happen) you should be able to protect yourself. Sorry for the long message but I thought it was important.

      Thanks for sharing your story with us, I agree with you, only thing is I am from the UK where the situation regarding self defence is dire, nothing for the purpose of self defence that is effective is allowed in England, my own government does not allow its own people anything for their own protection how bad is that.. You have to defend the American way of life at all costs to prevent that from ever happening close to you, not even pepper spray is legal here, you can guess just how many people get harmed and end up statistics because their defenceless here, In a riot we had in London a few years ago, a 200 year old business burnt down Sad really, could have been prevented if our circumstances were different.

I would trade someone like you in a second for some of these freedom destroying parasites we have here. “From my cold dead hands” as they say if they attempt a full out gun ban/restriction. Unfortunately for you guys in the UK it’s too late to ever have guns again. It’s easy to chip away at rights little by little and all of the sudden realize you don’t have any left. Come on over across the pond and we will gladly accept you as a freedom loving American. We can load up the guns and fishing poles, jump in the jeep, drive over to a BBQ and enjoy a kind of freedom that is overlooked, cast aside or stripped away in so many other countries around the world. God bless you friend and God Bless America. Damn, I’m feeling patriotic as hell writing this!! Haha. RWB forever! Hope to see you in the US some day my friend!

      Thanks, I do too! I am actually surprised to see certain Individuals, who are born with certain Inalienable rights in the US, One.. have no Idea what the nation of America is all about, & Two be so willing to go on Marches with the end result being them throwing away their rights as recently witnessed in Washington DC, and at the same time trampling on the rights of Other Law abiding Americans to the basic right of Protection, and three just having no clue what they are talking about. In the end if an Anti American law was passed that did Infringe on the right of the people to keep and bare arms, then It would be up to each and every American to fly the following flags ''Come and Take it'' ''The Gadsden flag'' and of course ''The Star Spangled Banner'', while shooting members of a tyrannical force, It was said that from time to time the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots, they were right, and If it came down to it, this is what would have to happen to ensure America remains the land of the FREE. Its a shame because here in the UK, all I want is various items legalised for the purpose of Self defence, It would also be nice if we had stand your ground laws, or Castle doctrine... to support the Law abiding citizen, but instead there is that feeling that you have to be ''careful'' and even though what you would do is morally right, you may still end up criminalised if the UK feels like you never used ''Reasonable force'' the thing is a Criminal can have anything here, and the good guys have absolutely nothing.. If I was to tell you of some of the events that occur in the UK, it would change your view of the place, its not the best place to live... and that would be the Dream, to move to the US, start a new life, and get Citizenship, but I only have a few options open to me 1, Offer of Employment (I am just a Security officer in the UK) for a green card, 2. Marriage with a nice American woman 3, Win the lottery to enable me to move there and that sounds like a Plan, I love America, the Freedom is amazing, the Food is really tasty and the portions are huge, Thank you, and I remember saying GOD Bless America as I crossed the Brooklyn Bridge, and in Federal Hall, when I visited the United States last year for the first time, I hope one day to return! but I will say it again I love your American hospitality so God bless you and God Bless America! and I am really behind American values after learning what America has been all about since its foundation, dam right RWB! last time I visited America I went to NYC, New Jersey, Washington DC, and Arlington VA. In the future I hope to see a lot more of the United States, the 4th of July was amazing, best firework display I have ever seen in my life.

      lifeisgoodenjoydaryd great story but it won't matter to the anti gun nuts. There are two types, #1 the ones that went to disarm you to control you (the evil ones) and #2 the useful idiots that follow the evil ones (the minions). And neither one of them give a shit about you or your safety. They have their goal and no amount of common sense, statistics, and real world facts will change their minds. Do you know why? See #1 & #2 Because group one wants to be able to control you and would be willing kill everyone that won't surrender their firearm and group #2 are not using there "minds" they base their opinions on their feeling and have bought into #1's b.s. and won't, can't see through the fear and desperation to see that they're being manipulated. Hell, Hollywood speaks out against this stuff even as they receive awards for movies that glorify fights and shootings that are more violent than most soldiers returning from war have experienced. They're so evil even makes cartoons for children that softens evil, where that bad guy is not so bad and the minions are cute little guys. Rap"singers" come out against guns and violence and then "sing" songs glorifying shit behaviour like, doing drugs, mistreating women, stealing, and shooting others especially police. How is it that no one throws that right I their faces? How is it those little shits from Parkland are running around talking shit about saving lives and doing "something" but when there was something to be done that could have helped thet either did nothing or piled on this poor disturb kid/guy. Remember the quote, "we knew it would be him", "he was a weirdo" etc. They don't care, it's a means to and end. Read the weatherman underground manifesto and all will be clear

    My wife has asked me in the past why I want an AR. I pretty much told her the same thing you did but the other day she asked me again. SO I went online and showed her a bunch of thumbnails that talked about building the AR 15 and each one was unique. SO I went a little further and we watched a couple together and I said "Honey, it's not that I NEED one. I want one. They aren't QUOTE ASSAULT RIFLES because there's no such thing. I then explained that it would be fun to build one and how much I enjoyed shooting all the different guns in the military years ago, but she wanted to argue that there IS such a thing as an ASSAULT RIFLE. So I went to the ATF website and let her read what THEY had to say about it. Afterwards se looked at me and "well, then I don't see what everyone is making such a fuss about calling them assault rifles. I don't understand it." SO I went on Google and typed in ".223 bullet compared to 7.62 and called up the images and showed her the difference and explained that the 7.62 round is what the military uses and the HUGE difference in knock down power, etc... In just 30 minutes my wife learned more about the AR 15 than probably most people in this country do. So I told her that a friend ours invited me to go deer hunting and I'd like to do that with him this year, and since the guy's wife is close friends with mine she said "Honey go get your gun if you want it. It's okay with me." Folks, the whole point I'm making is that IF you can reason with someone and SHOW them what the government actually says about "assault rifles/weapons" there's a good chance that they'll not only understand but they'll at least leave you alone and not argue about guns. My wife has always had no troubles with me hunting and now she sees that the AR 15 platform can be very versatile and you can convert it pretty much however you want to to make it look and perform how you want it to. SO she's okay with it now whereas before she would always say "well, why do you want an assault rifle?" Knowledge is power and yielded the right way can be a great tool and she is proof of that. But I have a feeling I'm going to have to do the same thing now that I want a .50 BMG. :)...Edit: I should also add that the 7.62x51 round that I mentioned is fored from an M60 machine gun not your standard m16 platform and the m60 is what I got to shoot several times in the Army. I had an M16-A1 with an M302 grenade launcher that was my baby then too but for comparisons sake here I used the 7.62 round. There are a lot of different versions of the 7.62 round too I might add ranging from the 7.62x 39 which is used in the AK47 and so on and the standard AR platform today uses the .223/.556 round which is considerably smaller than the 7.62x51 (also chambered in the .308 round), and that because I was really tired when I wrote the above I DID make a booboo on that so I am attempting to correct my mistake here. My bad.

      @@Mikevdog I know. Pretty much the same here. I built an AR15 and added some cool sights to it and a red dot laser but for me that round just isn't enough power whereas the .308 platform is. So I sold that AR15 and now I'd like to build an AR10 in .308. Its kind of like the theme behind horse power - the more horse power you have the faster you can go and the more weight you can pull with it. Well, with the bigger round (specifically in the .30i8) you get a much farther reaching bullet that shoots really flat over the longer distance. And I am seriously desiring of doing a feral hog hunt later this year if this stupid Covid thing goes away. So that's my dream and why I want an AR10.

      @SharkTank Well, we've been married for 24 years and she grew up with her dad and uncles hunting so there really never has been any problems there. The other thing is I never just hunt for sport. When I hunt it is to provide food for the table just like when I go fishing. My son is big on sport fishing (catch and release). Not me. I fish for food and I'm much better at it than he is as well. He gets bigger catfish but I get bigger bass, blue gill ,crappie, you name it. And he gets his catfish much further away from home than I do too so theres that factor.

    Hello there! I've been thinking about this question for a long time and I've been keeping a list handy to copy/paste whenever I have cause to share it. Without further ado, my list:
    My ten reasons to own an AR-15:
    1: It's fun. With a 5.56mm upper I can happily plink away with a modest rifle caliber for hours.
    2: It's a wonderful deer rifle. With a 6.8mm upper I have a familiar option that I can effectively harvest some venison with.
    3: It's a pride of ownership. I built my lower and one of my uppers, chosing exactly what parts I wanted and have the satisfaction of assembling it myself.
    4: It's rubbing the noses of grumpy people in it. I own something that some people don't like, safely and responsibly of course, and that amuses me.
    5: Did I mention it's fun? I think that bears repeating. Shooting is fun and it's an easy to handle platform.
    6: It's one of the best rifles to defend my home. I'm transgender and a lot of people today don't like that, an angry mob *IS* a real, if slim, possibility in my life. If I have to hole up behind a locked door you can rest assured that I want a lot of firepower handy until police arrive.
    This is also a really big reason to have full capacity magazines too, but that's a separate list.
    7: It's possible to be a very high value investment for builders. If you're picky about sales and are patient, $500 is still a very realistic budget and can be broken down to several smaller purchases.
    8: It's an easy rifle to teach my friends and family some things about shooting. It's a simple tool to operate and the fact that it's so ubiquitous is a helping hand in instruction. Everyone knows what they look like and have half an idea already of how to run them.
    9: It's available with many safety features in most states. Adjustable stocks, ergonomic pistol grips, flash hiders, easy to change magazines and even neighbor-friendly sound suppressors for anyone patient enough to jump a few extra hoops.
    10: The accessories! I can pretty up my rifle in any fashion I please. Dress it up, dress it down; however I want it and in every color! Mine's purple!

    How many people have served in the military since the introduction of M16? We train and train with that weapon system until it becomes one with us. We can take it apart and put it back together in the dark. We can overcome jams and malfunctions without even thinking about it. I grew up shooting since I was 3. I had a bolt action .22 Remington, Ruger 10/22, 12 gauge Remington 870 vent rib, for deer season a Hastings rifled shotgun barrel. My stepfather had an extensive collection and I had fired probably a million rounds prior to the military. I had thousands of hours handling my shotgun and .22's. When I was issued my M16a2 it felt weird. After 8.5 years of pounding 29palms CA. and spending as much as 90 straight days in the field carrying my rifle everywhere. Sleeping with my rifle in my sleeping bag in the fall an winter. In the summer sleeping on top of my rifle with the sling wrapped around me. We spent as much as 270 days a year in the field under Mad Dog Matis. The shotgun and the .22's that were once comfort in my hands are now awkward. I'm still surgical with them but in a 1 second emergency response I would grab the AR platform.
    We trained with them. They are an extension of us. We can operate them with deadly accuracy and confidence while being awake for 70 something hours and having virtually no brain function.
    If you had a group conduct a home invasion on you wouldn't you want to grab the weapon you knew better than your spouse?

    I have been around firearms my entire life. Shot my first gun at age five, shot my first squirrel at age 6, shot my first deer at age 12, it's not just a gun to me, it's apart of my heritage coming from west virginia. I am 44 now, have many guns in my collection and have never shot anyone. Guns are just a tool, no different than a hammer or a wrench or a screwdriver, the right tool for the job. U don't go squirrel hunting with a 30 06. I want one because it's a tool for different kinds of game, like boar or deer or predator hunting. Start enforcing the laws on the books, and holding people accountable for there actions when they break the laws and leave us honest hard working women and men alone.

    Exactly. ARs are not special. They are just as deadly as most other weapons. Then they make the argument. “Oh no they have high power bullets that tumble on impact and explode.” Well I better get an AR because apparently no other weapon does that. Lol. Good video. And I’m getting sick of this bs also.

    • @fireball1322
      @fireball1322 6 років тому

      the idea that a RIFLE shoots a "tumbling bullet" is pure bullshit. That's why it's barrel is RIFLED...to keep the bullet FROM tumbling. What makes small caliber bullets deadly is that they hit bone and bounce around inside the body and the high velocity shock wave when passing through the body tissue.

    • @kennethbarbwell1148
      @kennethbarbwell1148 6 років тому

      The only AR that ever had bullets tumbling they were M 16,s and for lip retards is an assault rifle.
      Has 2 selection fire, 1 semi auto (such as A R) 2 full auto which makes it assault rifle. A Rs which were originally 7.62. or .308 .Became .223 or 5.56mm and were sent to Vietnam, it got the name little black magic stick for what it would do to a human body ,the bullet would come out barrell, flipping. Good for spraying ,and putting everything u hit on ground, and was removed from service. REPLACED by M16A, M16A1,M16A2 , none by way flip ,an they damn sure don't have exploding .223, tracers yes,

    • @46ace
      @46ace 6 років тому +1

      Yeah uhm No; No 5.56 's ever came out of the muzzle tumbling. Be hard to hit anything if it did. The shape of the bullet makes them unstable if they get upset by hitting something. The bullets' center of gravity (weight) is located slightly behind the physical center of the length so it is more apt to tip over and swap ends given the chance. As long as it is spinning from the muzzle as it should be; it is stable, and the 5.56 (.223) is not a legal deer legal hunting round in a lot of states. Grampas' old lever action 30-30 is more effective. on deer or humans alike. The common hunting 30-06 is far more powerful than any("intermediate rifle cartridge") AR round. @@kennethbarbwell1148

    Another good answer is:
    "Who are YOU to question what I want, or NEED? Why do I have to justify it to you? We're in America, where we don't have to justify a 'NEED' for anything. I WANT it, and you may want to figure out why so many other Americans want it too."

  • @andrewvida3829
    @andrewvida3829 6 років тому +22

    It's not a valid question. Your wife validly raised the invalid question raised by ignorant, timid, fearful, bitter people.
    Your answer "because I want one", is valid, but does not make clear why.
    The real answer is this: I do not have to justify by virtue of need. My right to life implies the right to defend it from destruction or other violation. The right to defend in turn implies the right to exercise, just as does any other right. The right to exercise implies the right to acquire, hold, use, and dispose of the means of defense. Therefore, the right to keep and bear arms stands by those virtues alone."
    The more generalized answer is this: No man walking the earth holds the least authority to violate my rights, just as I hold none to violate theirs. I am a free and sovereign being who stands centrally within his rights as such to acquire, keep, bear, possess, use, and dispose of any property I so wish regardless of what others may think or feel on such matters. Therefore, need not necessarily have anything to do with my right to keep and bear arms, so bugger off.
    :)

    • @joewest1972

      The answer is certainly more definitive. I suppose if I wanted to protect myself with that particular weapon, then my answer would have to be because it's the most comfortable weapon I feel I can use effectively. But simply because I want one seems a little arrogant, and you catch more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. Losing our gun rights may become reality and we all have to take the time to answer these kinds of questions responsibly. There are also many people who live and make their livings with predator animals threatening their livestock. I feel this is anther reason they might choose an ar. In this time when our rights are being threatened I think the answers to these kinds of questions need to be a little more poignant than because I want one. Our gun rights are hanging by a thread now is not the time to hand out wise remarks in my opinion

      Just ask them why you should not be allowed to own an AR-15.Most of these anti gun assholes know nothing about firearms to begin with. Why should we allow people who are not even educated on firearms, to make laws concerning firearms....Ask them if they'd take their car to a person who knows nothing about mechanicing on a car to have it fixed. FWIW AR-15s are a very small caliber rifle. Ask them if they'd rather be shot by a Marlin 45-70 Gov't lever action rifle. Or a 12 Ga. shotgun loaded with deer slugs.
      Ask them what kind of car would they own if they could afford it. When they reply with "Corvette" or Ferrari or other 400+hp car, tell them "But you don't NEED 400+ hp car, you can only legally drive a top speed of 55mph-70mph in the USA. " That usually perplexes the hell out of the anti gunners

      for those that can't get their information correct -Arrest of Rosa Parks: Refusing to Give Up Her Bus SeatOn December 1, 1955, Parks was arrested for refusing a bus driver's instructions to give up her seat to a white passenger. She later recalled that her refusal wasn't because she was physically tired, but that she was tired of giving in.After a long day's work at a Montgomery department store, where she worked as a seamstress, Parks boarded the Cleveland Avenue bus for home. She took a seat in the first of several rows designated for "colored" passengers. The Montgomery City Code required that all public transportation be segregated and that bus drivers had the "powers of a police officer of the city while in actual charge of any bus for the purposes of carrying out the provisions" of the code. While operating a bus, drivers were required to provide separate but equal accommodations for white and black passengers by assigning seats. This was accomplished with a line roughly in the middle of the bus separating white passengers in the front of the bus and African-American passengers in the back. When an African-American passenger boarded the bus, they had to get on at the front to pay their fare and then get off and re-board the bus at the back door. As the bus Parks was riding continued on its route, it began to fill with white passengers. Eventually, the bus was full and the driver noticed that several white passengers were standing in the aisle. The bus driver stopped the bus and moved the sign separating the two sections back one row, asking four black passengers to give up their seats. The city's bus ordinance didn't specifically give drivers the authority to demand a passenger to give up a seat to anyone, regardless of color. However, Montgomery bus drivers had adopted the custom of moving back the sign separating black and white passengers and, if necessary, asking black passengers give up their seats to white passengers. If the black passenger protested, the bus driver had the authority to refuse service and could call the police to have them removed.Three of the other black passengers on the bus complied with the driver, but Parks refused and remained seated. The driver demanded, "Why don't you stand up?" to which Parks replied, "I don't think I should have to stand up." The driver called the police and had her arrested.

    Here is my answer. I worked my butt off, I pay my taxes, My money is mine and will spend it on what ever floats my boat. My Answer is i can have one because its the law period end of story. Now for those who wish to remove guns. Think about that real hard. America with no guns. With in weeks this country would go from a free society to a society that is lawless and crime would run wild through ever state,city,county & town across America. The new norm will be robberies, rape,murder. The numbers would be so crazy that the government would have no choice but to impose martial law. After that are free society is no more free and all freedoms we once had will be gone and now we do what are government says or else. I know people will say that's a scare tactic or just crazy. Yea ok and if it did liberals will be the first to say how did we let this happen. It all boils down to this, either we are all a free society or a society without freedom. Freedom is not free. People from other countries hate us because we are a free society. The problem that comes with a free society is that bad people are also free to do the evil they want by using what ever they can be it a gun, car, knife, bomb ect. They will always be among us good people. Until you can change the minds & hearts of evil people no ban or law will change that. What it will change is all the good people will be at the mercy of the bad.

"Assault weapons" is a mismatch term. A weapon is one thing for itself that do not concours withs its application (hunt, assault, war, training, testing, fun, etc). I need one because when you call the police it take them conservatively about 10 to 15 mins to respond, also most crime where I live is done not by one person but by 2 to 3 people. So yes I need one with a 30 round magazine because that best suits my needs for protecting my family, my property, and my neighbors.

    Agree with "I want one" Next is a return question, why do the police "need" AR style rifles? The answer will inevitably be because "oh because they have to deal with dangerous armed criminals" Ok I'll pretend I buy that. (I can't really as there is nothing that requires police to go into harms way. They are not legally required to protect you.) Now are the police first responders to dangerous armed criminals? Sometimes, say they plan a take down of a drug den but generally they are not the first responder and only come when called. When it comes to your safety, you're the first responder and you are responsible for your life and your family.
    Also agree the AR is a red herring the desire to to grab guns. Clearly other guns cause far more deaths than and assault won, like the pistol.

      Nobody is allowed to have an AR-15 in Canada. There are AR-15 style rifles, but you need to have a special permit on top of your regular gun licence, that must be cleared by the RCMP. To give you an idea of how hard it is to get this clearance, you cant even have an ex wife or husband to get this special permit. Once you get this permit, assuming by some miracle you get it, the ONLY time you cam take the gun out is at a designated shooting range, AND every time you transport the gun, you have to notify the RCMP. IF you were to drive over to your friends house with the gun, and not tell the RCMP, and they found out...you woud be thrown in jail. So, yeah, there is pretty much no point of owning anything like that in Canada.

    I NEED AN AR15!

    The simple fact is that unless they happen to be near by LEO response will always be in minutes. I now live deep in the woods of south central Virginia. When I first moved in I had issue with adjusting to having an alarm. So I set it off one day and did not call the alarm company. 22 minutes later the local LEO showed up to see if everything was okay. Beside that the Supreme Court has said that law enforcement has no duty to protect any single individual but duty is to protect society at large.

    Just gave up and got my first AR-15 recently, but it's just a toy. I keep a Vz58 by the bed for home defense.
    I don't trust the AR-15 to go off when a burglar is in the house, but I have to admit, it's the most fun gun I have ever owned.
    I bought my AR at the factory, and the guy who sold it to me told me what to do to prevent it from failing to extract. That right there told me this platform has issues. I have bought lots of guns, and no one ever said, "Here's what you do to keep it from malfunctioning." It was just assumed they would work.

    It's a trick question.
    It doesn't really matter how you answer it because by answering it you are giving
    legitimacy to the idea that possession ought to be determined by a person's needs rather than their wants. The obvious follow up question is then...who get to determine that?
    If it's not the individual then a group such as the government will decide for the individual
    what possessions the individual "needs". This is a slippery slope that starts with
    "You don't need an AR-15 for self defense." to "You don't need guns for self defense."
    Because the government does not see your self defense as a necessity in the first place.
    When the government decides such things it might start off as guns but it will eventually affect all aspects of life. For example it could be argued that nobody "needs" art except of course for government approved "art". Or religion. Or children of your own. Then before you know it you are living under communism.

    Well, well, well.... look how much worse things have gotten for 2a now. New gun owner, just found your channel and subbed. 👍🏼 Btw - I was involved in a home invasion in a major US city. It took police nearly 20 minutes to get there.

    the thing about arguing with people who haven't come to a conclusion based on reason ..... is that you almost never can convince them otherwise _with_ reason. doesn't matter how good your arguments are, because they simply aren't going to listen to them. don't waste your breath - and that's why this answer in the video is good enough; " i want one" - these people either are going to listen, or they aren't. and if they aren't, they're not worth speaking to at all, whatsoever.
