Many years ago i saw this first hand when we had a chief who was at odds with our sheriff. The sheriff put him in his place and told him that if he wanted his dept to be able to continue policing the town without him taking over that he better toe the line. That chief is long gone now. I say this so people realize that just because local law enforement police a city or town doesn't mean that the sheriff doesn't still have control because trust me, he does. Thankfully, a Sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in any given county in Colorado, not State Police. Colorado doesn't have State Police. They have Highway Patrol / State Patrol like most Western states. Sheriffs can be voted in and out. State Police can't be (easily) voted out.

They all have to take an oath to uphold the Constitution. Some of them are crooked though, while others are really nice and respect your rights. Some states you have to use them, or lose them. Like Utah. I know they have or had a bunch of bad apples out there. Good guys in Layton, ut and kaysville, ut though in my own experience. In salt lake City though most likely you'll get beat down and tazed by a sheriff. I did. Later I saw him in the cell though waiting to go to court. 😂 I could have told everyone that he was a crooked cop and he would have got fucked up, but seeing the fear in his face when he recognized me and then looked at the other inmates, that was enough for me. Yes, its true, Australia has no second amendment equivalent. However, under the US constitution and Bill of Rights interpreted in its original intent, there would be a very similar legal situation. Even if the Second amendment never existed, our general government still would have no delegated authority to infringe on the right to keep arms. If I understand correctly, a similar case is present in Australia, where the federal government does not actually have very much power at all in the field of gun control, because outside of international commerce, it also has no delegated authority over gun control. Furthermore, if I understand the current situation correctly, the federal governmetn of Australia has done a much better job at respecting that aspect of their constitution than the US government, even if the latter did not have the second amendment. Why? Because Australia's federal government does not actually have what most people would consider gun control laws. The US government does. Its quite interesting, actually.

BUT, me and every other officer here at this department operates at the will of the sheriff. He can take our dept over at anytime, or demand all calls for service go through his office and HE will tell us what calls we can respond to. The sheriff is the highest ranking law official. Period. Many years ago i saw this first hand when we had a chief who was at odds with our sheriff. The sheriff put him in his place and told him that if he wanted his dept to be able to continue policing the town without him taking over that he better toe the line. That chief is long gone now. I say this so people realize that just because local law enforement police a city or town doesn't mean that the sheriff doesn't still have control because trust me, he does. He outranks that dept and if they are corrupt, can take them over and investigate / prosecute wrongdoers. Also, I stand with these sheriffs in this video. I will NEVER enforce an unconstitutional gun law. I will give them this badge back the day they tell me to do that. The libs can pound thier gun control agenda up thier arse.

Thankfully, a Sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in any given county in Colorado, not State Police. Colorado doesn't have State Police. They have Highway Patrol / State Patrol like most Western states. Sheriffs can be voted in and out. State Police can't be (easily) voted out.
I heard a constitutional law professor speak at my local meeting. She said the constitution was subjective and could change at any time, she also said the constitution was written about muskets. She is teaching this shit to future lawyers.

Like Utah. I know they have or had a bunch of bad apples out there. Good guys in Layton, ut and kaysville, ut though in my own experience. In salt lake City though most likely you'll get beat down and tazed by a sheriff. I did. Later I saw him in the cell though waiting to go to court. 😂 I could have told everyone that he was a crooked cop and he would have got fucked up, but seeing the fear in his face when he recognized me and then looked at the other inmates, that was enough for me. I hope they can catch all their crooked ones though.
They are. They just keep their head down at their job like most people do with theirs while keeping personal opinions to themselves.

He's probably not wrong, but every one of them should be fired for making political statements while in uniform. It's beyond inappropriate for law enforcement officials at any level to be stating anything beyond the scope of his duties.

They are more or less everyday people trying to serve the public. Politicians don't run for sheriff because it is a hard job with, in their minds, little benefit. They don't care about honor and doing whats right, while sheriffs do. Generally speaking, at least.

There was a Marine guy vet that claims he’s one talking bullshit to me on the video of David Hogg being confronted by Marjorie Greene and said that he AGREES with Hogg and agrees with Hogg advocating for RED FLAG LAWS and thinking that there isn’t laws that prevents any certain people that are not suppose to own guns WHICH we know that THERE is. And was basically being really fuckin’ ignorant. Just doesn’t get to me of why such vets would agree with such disgraceful shit? It kinda pissed me off so I got a piece of him about it.

Yes, its true, Australia has no second amendment equivalent. However, under the US constitution and Bill of Rights interpreted in its original intent, there would be a very similar legal situation. Even if the Second amendment never existed, our general government still would have no delegated authority to infringe on the right to keep arms.
If I understand correctly, a similar case is present in Australia, where the federal government does not actually have very much power at all in the field of gun control, because outside of international commerce, it also has no delegated authority over gun control.
Furthermore, if I understand the current situation correctly, the federal governmetn of Australia has done a much better job at respecting that aspect of their constitution than the US government, even if the latter did not have the second amendment. Why? Because Australia's federal government does not actually have what most people would consider gun control laws. The US government does. Its quite interesting, actually.
What I want to know is how did English criminals who started in breeding with the locals decide not how to make protection for their guns before Australia became a nation

@@yaash4123 I bet if you look into their police force, they probably have more advanced training too. American police are often lacking the ability to de-escalate any situation, and usually refer to 'shoot now, ask questions later'. Not to mention how physically out of shape they are most of the time. I don't know about you, but if I ever find myself needing the police, I don't need to find myself relying on Officer Lardass who has hard enough time pulling himself up a flight of stairs. Physical shape is one thing, but some of these men I see wearing badges in these videos, seem to have some personal mandetta to fill before doing their job.
