Any particular reason for the MiG-17 (MiG-17F I am assuming) NOT using the afterburner? Isn’t that kind of the idea for having a sunset show in the first place? I’ve seen a number of Randy Ball sunset MiG-17F/PF videos where he is just scorching around the field with AB lit on every pass. Sorry 2 Snivel.

I wish more air shows did sunset programs. One of the best ones I've seen was an F-16 WEST demo up in Alpena.. was awesome!

Why don't more people retract the flaps on landing like the MiG-17 did? Gets the weight on the wheels quicker.
