UBXA under $1K???? Man if I was still playing live, I would have to consider it.... Take that on the road to get road worn and not my beloved Oberheims... Without even test driving it I can tell the UBXA will provide the Oberheim sounds for live use no problem.... I think it's a very attractive way to add Oberheim to your sound without having to sell your house....
@@synthsamuraiproductions I'm actually loading up the Miles Away TEO-5 Soundbank this evening (soon) and gonna test it out (most likely will video it to follow up my first impressions which were pretty hard on the factory presets..... I'm sorry... they made me feel like NOT playing it they were so bad and non-useful to "me" at least). As I mentioned, you think they would put ALL their killer patches at least on the first 2 banks of sounds to WOW someone trying it out....
Oh and someone else (forgot who without going back and searching) told me about the Geosynths sounds... Gonna check them out now as well... Thanks for the tip!
@@jumpingman8160 Hehe hey if it isn't the one and only Jumping Man, Space Synth Legend! Hope you are doing well. I'm doing a bit better finally! I recorded a couple of vids for you btw with the VR-09. I will try to do one with it on its own at some point. Anyway, don't know about you, but looking forward to getting back in the synth mood now summer is ending. 🔥🪄🪇🎹🎺
I have been looking at that new Zoom Livetrack as well. It does look really nice. Being able to record each input as a separate stem is awesome. Right now when I do my jams they are gone forever, it would be nice to have a simple solution to record them along with the parts. I think it is pretty neat especially at the price. You are definitely right about the music, we're bringing back the 90s, elevator music and all!!
Back In the 80s one could count the synth manufacturers on 1 aproximately 2 hands. Today it's unbelievable how much the market is currently flooded with synths of all types, forms & sizes
Thanks for the latest updates. The thing about all the wild FM synths is that they def have different overall personalities . I have an Opsix , Quantum, Dave Smith Pro2, and other software/hardware that does FM , had others in the past, and they all do sound different. So i think its a good thing that companies are still making new synths
They also have reproduces old stuff the manufacturer does not make such as Behringer Super Fuzz SF300. But I do agree with you and I avoid buying cloned stuff which is still in production by the original manufacturer. 😇❤💯💪👍
The Zoom livetrack seems ok for recording on the go, but I don't think you can beat the Behringer Euphoria 1820 audio interface with a Behringer AD A8200 8 in\out ADAT for 16 ins and outs. You can use it as a mixer as each channel has a level\gain control. Midas preamps on each channel with XLRs on each input. You need power, but for jamming in the studio it's perfect. You can record into a DAW obviously to properly mix your stems, as you'd have to with the livetrack. You can pick up both new for 400-500 (plus a couple optical cables to connect them). Cheers Brother ✌️
I played the UBXa and the Teo-5 at guitar center NYC last week. Teo had better build quality and looked great. The UBxa was cool too but reminiscent of a deep mind 12 in terms of build. I preferred the sound and playing the UBXa. It was a more vintage, simple and 80s like experience. The Teo is a thoroughly modern synth and its sounds tend to sound more modern as well. The UBxa felt more old school which I tend to gravitate towards. The filters are great on both. Was definitely impressed with the Behringer, it’s a cool synth.
Don't forget about the esi xsynth, a synth with poly at that has the same keybed as the cme xkey37. I haven't heard it yet but saw an article about it yesterday. That siluria drone sounds cool but yeah ambient 0 wins there for me as well.
I urge everyone to look at the Lensgo wireless mics, they are also very similar but have better sound quality than the Rode and also allow for an SD recording on each mic, this is brilliant as a contingency if something goes wrong with your primary recording source, you have a quality backup of each mic right there. I have owned the Rode versions, the Lensgo is better audio, quieter and much cheaper. I won't buy anything from Behringer due the inconsistency of manufacturing quality. I have regretted everything I have ever bought from them.
if the UBXA is so great ......Buy one.
😉
No onboard effects is a deal breaker for me

Zoom L6 is a gamechanger I am getting it. Behringer mics are also tempting.
Both are super tempting especially the zoom
Jomox FM D... for that price you can get a MoDX with more operators, more layers and more of other things.
Yeah seriously or the thing that Harmonic Sonics has. That thing looks nuts.

So behringer made another copy off the back of someone else's research and development !
Yup the genius keep’s revealing its self
