Hi Awesome Family, it's Aussie Girl, wow 4 of my most favourite things a beautiful boat, gorgeous food, flying small aircraft and happy intelligent people an puppy dogs u have got the lot. I love the intro music it really picks me up can u tell me what it is please. I'm so excited for u all, nearly in the water, Teal, Linh, Emma Thank you for sharing, I love u all. 🌈⛵🇦🇺😉💙
So nice you such beautiful weather on your air tour of the Bay Area. I've lived here all my life, but was forced to live away for a long time. When I returned, I was just wanting to finally get home. But the airline in queue for landing needed to make 2 huge turns around the Bay and I didn't mind - it was so beautiful and I saw everything I loved from the air. It was a beautiful clear day like yours. I hope you found equally as unforgettable.
Teal, those extensions for the rain catchment/gutters are spot on. Functional and they look good too. The lines 'flow'. The water will, too. I can't wait to see the finished product. I am sure Linh can't wait for it to be finished 🙈
I watch my first video a few weeks ago so I went to the beginning and binged watched them. Absolutely great the only problem now is I have to wait a week before your next. All of you bring joy to this old guy used to be every morning now once a week, ok I have to handle that. I was taught all my skills from craftsman’s like you Teal and I could only wish I was able to keep half your knowledge. I just wanted to give you all a great big thanks.
Excited for you, what a nice break for the SVBasik crew! Emma, I love when you narrate. Such a delightful exciting voice. Maybe March is coming in like a Lion? There's a lot involved with this top. It looks like a natural part of the boat. Amazing how good Teal is. So patient. Takes his time. Lihn dinner looked beautiful, & delicious! Your light blue top compliments you. Compass understands putting his paws into his harness(?) gets him out of the house. I thought Compass felt left out at the table, since he was "1" of the crew getting a special dinner. hehe Have a really good week Teal, Lihn, & Emma. Hope the winds die down soon.
Great to see San Francisco, had flash backs of roller skating in one of the parks in about 1980. Looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for sharing
Well, you told me to have faith in my design and even though it's a fairly simple hard dodger, I think it will come together nicely. Still need to source all my materials and build it, but it's coming together after 26 changes to the design. Thanks for the encouragement. It's greatly appreciated.
You guys so deserved that day out Team. Too much time on the hard will send you nuts, and great to see you all taking in some scenery. Beautiful stuff. Ross
Dang son, that looks better than OEM! Teal should have a Ph.D. in Ncore/Fiberglas Design and Build. Bow ties, butterflies, dovetails or biscuits, we all knew what you meant. Linh is a Master Craftsman too. Emma is doing a great job with narration and it looks like braces are coming along nicely! Love y’all’s channel folks. Here’s hoping ‘Rona and Mexico are cleared up very soon....Fair winds!
We are so excited and hopeful for this year. The hard times are almost behind us and we can finally start sailing and enjoying more adventures. Cheers!
Great job, and very nice project, for the complement, maybe if you build a track for a "canvas" or anti-moskito net, start. On the top and finish on the sides, contínuos on the curve of the sealing.....
I am amazed at all the talent in this family! Linh is such a great boat fabricator, and Teal is a really good eater of Linhs meal masterpieces, while Emma is the boat's top sit down comic and video narrator! After only 151 episodes, I've decided to stick with it!
That looked fantastic. Glad ye all had a great time. The scenery was fabulous. I have to say Emma is so grown up now. She is a lovely young lady and Lynn... wow what a cook. The boat looks fabulous too. What a great great job. Look forward to next week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
I love watching your videos and one day I will have my own cat and sail the world with my wife and daughter also. Thanks for all the hard work you do in showing us how boat life on a cat really is like. Beside you and la vagabonde you both are my fav channels on YT. :) Peace from the UK and the Philippines.
Glad you all, had a great time in the 172 and Captain Teal got to fly the plane. Great job on the hardtop, almost complete. I am sure it will be done in the next video. Linh, you are special in the galley. 🐻🙏
Haha! I knew Teal was an avigator as well as a navigator. When I saw Teal filing in Seattle he always panned to the Kennmore Air float planes....... well done on the hard top and glad you all got to do some yanking and banking! UA-cam needs a heart button for videos... seriously.
@ 11:10 you KNOW that crack and piece missing on the panel glare shield was triggering Teal...inside he was thinking "i can fill and fair that out in no time"
Hey guys! We were out sailing two weeks ago, and saw your little plane fly over! We think the sailboat in your video, just east of Alcatraz, is us! S/V Salacia, SC53 Hope to see you on the water before too long!
As a pilot, and a boat captain, this video has it all!!! So awesome, looks like you all had a great day for a flight! And the new hard top is looking fantastic!!! 😎🎣🎣🎣
I cant believe I was able to watch not only the whole flight experience but the preparing of the meal without being taken to an anti-vape commercial. Doing a great job with the project on the boat. I now know if I should ever buy a boat like this the roof will already be on.
I had asked a question on Instagram regarding work versus sailing. You responded with you’re working now so that you can focus on the Sailing in the future. Perhaps you could take a few moments out of your videos to tell us about your future plans. Inquiring minds want to know.
The best of these videos are the dialogues between Lin and Emma, it is also fabulous to be able to see LIn's recipes, and her exquisite food, the most boring are the renovations of the catamaran roof
My heart always gets a little fluttery when I see there's a new video from Onboard Lifestyle! So excited for you guys to get back in the water. I think you're going to have an awesome year - and I can't wait to watch it play out! As ever, thanks for sharing your journey with us. x
Amazing adventure guys, always nice when the captain authorizes Shore Leave ! (Shout out to Randy for setting it up) Another delicious meal aboard Basik Linh. Fair winds and following seas Basik.
Pretty good landing for your first time Teal!😉 Though I'm a bit disappointed you didn't fly under the Golden Gate. All looks well aboard the good ship Basik, and it won't be long before you're sailing again. Great seeing Compass!
Another awesome video! You combined my hobby and my profession - sailing and flying. So glad you got a bird’s-eye view of Basik and happy to see Teal get a little stick time. The meal looked delicious, Patrice’s and my mouths were watering!! Can’t wait for next week’s episode.
Cesnas are fun. A friend of mine brought me up in a training one, many years ago. We flew around the CN TOWER in Toronto Canada. Mistake! He then turned over the controls to me.... well Red Baron 5,000 feet I call out and pull back on the yoke. Up we go to the horror of his wife and my fiancee. They turned white ??? LL. He quickly disengaged me and said, aw, Jim, you alomst stalled us. Gotta love snoopy. :) :)
Blind Luck is a 52' Norm Cross and is a wonderful solid cruising trimaran. I sailed on my Dad's 40' Piver Victress trimaran throughout the 70's in the Pacific Northwest. Linh and I sailed our 41' Lauren Williams trimaran for over 7 years from Seattle to Manzanillo. I catch myself staring at your boat because I have an extensive history and many fond memories with trimarans.
That overhead shot shows just how good the hard top looks. That was such an amazing day off. Well done Randy👍👍. And Linh, that meal looked amazing. Do you have any culinary training, or are you a superb natural home chef?
Did you know "Neanderthals" would be in the news? My Dad ran his own popular "Fly Sail" tour out of NYC for years after he retired and us kids grew up in the Bay area - so your adventure struck many nerves and loved every minute of it. Do you have a "first adventure" planned after your refit- (nice job by the way). Going north or south?
Very cool! I love the knife, kind of looks like a Nakiri, and I see you know how to hold it too. As a BBQ and cook/foodie, I have a very nice set of knives (used to also be a knife distributor as well). I love knives! I also have that exact same salt and pepper mill set.
Linh, I am sitting here eating a gas station burrito because I am at that stage in the refit where I can't keep any food onboard. My meal now feels wholly inadequate. That looks delicious!

I still remember the most fun I had flying more then 30 years ago. We were in a Huey 203 with the side doors removed north of Camp Ripley Minnesota flying 20 feet off the water of the Mississippi river flying bank to bank.
That's the plan. In order to have protection over our helm, we needed the hardtop installed first since it will be incorporated into it. You will see in next week's video.
Emma should have been in the front seat. I used to fly and the future of aviation is the youth. She could have had to chance to fly herself and maybe see if that’s a path she might be interested in either professionally or as a hobby. On a different subject I remember the war in Vietnam and I know about the purges after. Vietnam today seems honestly not bad. It’s communist but the government is no longer hostile to its people. The country is unified and people finally live in peace. I’d like to see a episode that’s just Linh’s story. Why you left? How you left, the whole story. And about how your past has made you who you are today. Next time...Emma’s story: Who I am and why 🤔
You do beautiful fiberglass work.
Awesome to see the Napa Valley from the air ✔️

As always Great Show
As a pilot, and a boat captain, this video has it all!!! So awesome, looks like you all had a great day for a flight! And the new hard top is looking fantastic!!! 😎🎣🎣🎣
What a cool flight experience. The first time I ever flew was in a Cesna 172. I went skydiving with my Dad and Brother out of it.
Someday perhaps it will be Chef Linh. Your food always looks so scrumptious and your sense of presentation is immaculate. =)
Wow, thank you!
how good was cumpass, lift up each foot to go in. awesome
That was a nice plane ride I’m glad you Were able to go on a ride .
Us too!
🙂 Having spent 20 some years in aviation, I know how much fun something like that can be.
That hardtop is never coming apart. Great job as always. 👍🙂

I'm fairly sure that flying under the Golden Gate would be a pretty sure way for a pilot to lose their license. 🙂

If Linh ever does a cookbook I am going to need it. She always makes a delicious looking spread.
Linh has cooking videos on UA-cam also. They are awesome!
Totally agree!
Hi, I just bought the trimaran Blind Luck. Nice to see it on your footage!
Blind Luck is a 52' Norm Cross and is a wonderful solid cruising trimaran. I sailed on my Dad's 40' Piver Victress trimaran throughout the 70's in the Pacific Northwest. @@tealgoben1781 I'm pretty sure I can hear Linh saying "No Teal, you may not buy another boat and start all over again refurbishing it". 😃
I sure did! Teal apparently no longer values his life if he even thinks about another project. Lol
Ok you need a cooking channel too. Please share some recipes
That overhead shot shows just how good the hard top looks. That was such an amazing day off. Well done Randy👍👍. And Linh, that meal looked amazing. Do you have any culinary training, or are you a superb natural home chef?
Linh is self trained. Her mom is a natural in the kitchen as well.

I like it!
“Basik Onboard Cooking” gets my vote!
To a job done right! 2👍’s up and a like!
So, what's the best part of being gone for 2 weeks? Coming home and seeing there are two videos to watch. On to the next one.
I enjoy several sailing video’s and stumbled onto “Onboard Lifestyles” last month
and I rank my preferences 1 thru 10 etc. “Onboard Lifestyle” has slowly moved up
to my second favorite with Sailing Zatara rated #1 however, “Onboard Lifestyle”
is an excellent program because the man of the house is patience and does a
great job at explaining repair jobs…..I truly enjoy!!
Not able to choose one over the other because they both rank #1 on my list! 😎👍
You won’t find anyone on earth like Teal that’s a 100% guarantee hehehe guy is a perfectionist to max!
"Sailing Zatara" is a different category. I rate "Onboard Lifestyle" in the same category as "Live on the Hulls". Teal and Ross have the same work ethic and attention to detail.

Love the channel. I noticed on your exiting drone shot the new hardtop causes some shadows on your solar panels. Is that a concern or was it just late in the day?
It was late in the day for that shot so the sun was low casting more shadow, also they will be adding more solar panels on the hardtop.
