No home or boat on earth is better loved or maintained. She is a beautiful credit to an exceptional family. Thanks so much for sharing the journey with us.
Hey Guys, I just spent the day watching your videos. I am so impressed with your hard top build. I use to be a fiberglass fabricator years ago. I'm convinced yours is much nicer than one you would have paid for. I'm a new subscriber that can't wait to see the finished product. Thanks Sid
Can understand why you don't like being hauled out because it cramps your normal lifestyle but these big projects that you're able to do where teal's attention to detail and construction skills really come out to shine, it is amusing to see Linh make fun of Teal how he gets side tracked but really when you're in the water you must feel so safe because of that... I believe in professional navy's around the world where they have the people that are responsible for maintaining the boat also crew the boat that's where they get the most successful missions seems like even with only 3 crew you embody that.
Yay!!!!!! So happy for you guys. Emma, is and incredible young lady, and you are all an amazing family. Tha ks for taking us along. Basic looks amazing
Hey kids..., thanks for the look see of what's what per readying your wonderful sailing cat. A beautiful vessel! Not discounting invested effort, sweat, $$$ & time.... & love. @ 71 now, time to pursue (a cat!) what I've been wanting to do since 24. But! You know; life happened. You guys are a hoot & hope this adventure continues. So..., fair winds & smooth sailing to ya....
Congrats guy's another awesome team effort !!! the footage towards the end ( 17:00 - 17:20 ) OMG that is One Very Beautiful Huge Tidy Cat WOW So Beautiful .. Well Done Teal , Linh and Em You have SV Basik looking so Nice , Most beautiful vessel on the Big blue
The hard top and the entire boat looks great, good job and safe travels. I can really relate to your channel, my wife and I built a cabin in the middle of the Texas Hill country, on the weekends, 340 miles one way. We would leave out Friday afternoon with a truck and trailer full of materials, work like dogs until Sunday noon, pack up, get home late and go to work on Monday. Like you guys the projects never end and that was about 20 years ago, It is all worth it!
Congrats on getting back in the water! I am sure you all have one of the safest cats around as meticulous as Teal is. The whole boat including your hard top looks fantastic!!!
Congratulations upon getting back into the water, Wow basik is a very big cat, and is also beautiful !! I have really enjoyed watching your progress over the past months, now I cannot wait for your future adventures. Good luck with all your endeavour's, I look forward to watching !
Congratulations on splashing! A fine job was made by all. Teal, thanks for the reminder on the transducer paint. I forgot to put it on the pre-splash list for my boat.
"Work like a Captain...play like a Pirate!" Congratulations guys and looking forward to sailing along with you to your next adventure on the high seas! Stay safe!
I know you are having fun with Teals’ attention to detail but I really appreciate the beautiful work you both do and the obvious pride you both have in each other and your home on the water.
I built boats in Key West when your boat was built .I worked at Munro boats. Your boat was i believe built at Spencer Boat yard. Right down the street. Basik never looked as good as she does now.
Thank you so much for sharing these times with us. We enjoy your family and it is fun to watch each detail of your marine maintenance. And I do understand that every thing has to be just perfect!!! Thank you again for sharing these special times with us. :) Eight years ago we sold our last ocean boat!!! Every year I would pull our 27ft offshore sportfisher out for 6 months. Anti-fouling paint the bottom. Go through all the electronics. scuppers and pumps. I loved it for 10 years. I so loved that boat and loved to see it hauled out. Our family had ocean sportfishers from when I was 10 to when I was 60 - 50 years!!!! Our 16ft, 15hp outboard is enough for me - bays, rivers, and lakes!!! Scuba Diving, Mtn Biking, but no more heavy maintenance!!! But I do miss the ocean & 70 mile halibut and salmon trips!!!
Whooooop whooooooop back in the water 🎉🎉🎉. I am going to miss watching Teal working on all his cool projects, to perfection. Loved I am what I am ( was waiting for pop eye the sailor man) ..... just wanted to let you know I ordered gear from my favorite channels all on the same night. Yours arrived first ☺️☺️ Love my coffee mug and tshirt!!
I didn't see the Hard Top Panel that covers the helm. Are you waiting on parts? The boat looks awesome as usual. Teal, you are the KING of boat maintenance and modifications. Obviously that will always be valuable if you need to refill the sailing kitty. I love you guys and I hope you have a continued wonderful trip.
Well, well, well, finally back in the water! Everything was so well done, so professional, it was a joy to watch Teal (Linh and Emma too) doing all these projects. I've had to completely refurbish a boat before, and have been very impressed by the approach to problem solving and how clean Teal works - most folks are pretty sloppy with epoxy. It's starting to warm up, so you guys can begin sailing the Channel Islands and do some exploring. Cheers!
Many many moons a go my beautiful wife who is also of Vietnamese decent decided to cut and perm her hair. I was devastated, and no I'm not going to tell the rest of the story, because it's still just too traumatic for me. Bare feet is a whole other topic :-) CONGRATS! GUYS!!! FINALLY IN THE WATER!!!
Congratulations with upgrades, improvements and getting back in the water! You manage interrelationship occasional tension well! The more attention to design, planning and production minimizes problems later on! Good role modeling for your daughter!
Hearty congratulations for so many jobs well done on the hard!!🧨🎉💥The hardtop was complex but executed perfectly by the “minutia-master”, engineer Teal! I still wonder how you might manage the protection on the sides and front of the pilot seat now that the top is protected. Well done Basik crew! So good to see her floating again. (I predict the next haul-out will tackle switching to lithium power 🤩)
I was waiting and wondering where your video was last night. Maybe it was delayed because of the splash! Well worth it I would say. While I was waiting, I went back I watched a bit of your Video #1. You have come a Loooong way since that time. Wow. Emma sure has grown but, she is as helpful as ever!
Great episode love to see the finishing touch and getting splashed Emma you Are very well spoken now that you’re in the water let’s get some cooking going
I agree with Teal in that I like longer hair on you ladies. Love the winch setup the yard has for that trailer, I've seen a few videos of NZ yards that have similar rigs for boats.
Ha Ha, Teal needs "Direct Supervision". LOL. Keep on him Linh, but remember, give him lots of hugs and kisses at the end of the day for all of the hard work he gets done. God Bless.
Nice edit guys. Teal I love the props ! A suggestion is to carry a spare nose cone ( polypropylene part) . I got a 8mm line around mine and it damaged the nose cone allowing the pitch to change and I had no drive on the one side. Otherwise they are great for sailing
Linh you Boat Splash tease..... The title with thumbnail shows the Cat on the transport.... YET 2 days..... Waaaaaaa. Ha ha. Congrats SV Basik.... *Quote of the video: Linh - "Such a caveman, make me have long hair." Teal - "That is how I drag you around, you know that." Ha ha so un PC.... of course Linh has a wicked great sense of humor...*
CaptainTeal, Linh, and Emma., good’O. The total team, at work. Great job getting your home ready to sail into the sunset, with new boat confidence. A better refit, than the professional boatyard service crew. Give compass a bone to chew on and drink some more champagne 🥂.

"That's one beautiful machine" ~ Still remember someone making the comment while passing by on the way to their boat
That was in Ilwaco, Wa...never met him, but will forever remember his voice.
I really look forward to your videos. It’s great to see your boat back in the water!
Nice to see you getting through your list in time to get your bottom wet again, great job guys.... :)

I hope you guys get to go to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Very enjoyable video. GOD speed Basik Crew, JC
I have watched ALL you videos and I wish I was as half as detail oriented as Teal. BTW it is amazing how much Emma has grown.
I just finished watching all the videos yesterday, they wore me out!
Splash Day! Great to see Basik back in the water. Awesome job guys. Fair winds and following seas Basik.

We are working on the support posts now and should have it installed soon.
"I like that handy little tool.." ... "A Wrench????" ... LOL
It's so cute! Teal says I can't say tools are cute anymore. It's not seemly. 🙊🤷♀️
Well done. Congratulations.

I must say: you two are a great couple... and your boat is looking so good, truly amazing !!!

Very well done. Here is an observation; i think that PAINT COMPANY should sponsor your episodes. You gave them a lot of exposure!
Not just the paint, what about all the epoxy

Teal cuts out most of my jokes...apparently they are not very PG and I "objectify him". Lol #oops
Your boat is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Patty! 😊😊😊
Hi guys, nice to see you back in water! Maybe our paths will cross in the bay. I came by and met you in Napa. Gave you the cami vest for Compass.
We put that vest on him on chilly nights, he absolutely loves it!
looking forward to sailing
