    Something to consider is calcium can inhibit iron absorption. Therefore you may not get the iron from the smoothie as intended but all the other nutrients definitely a plus.

    Love it! I add frozen mango instead of berries sometimes to change it up. If you had some spurlina, it turns the smoothie "hulk" green - big hit for my kids! Keep posting!!

    This smoothie is delicious! Do you still drink it during pregnancy and, if so, do you make any modifications or is it fine as is?

    Healthy nursing tea is a great supplement that does indeed promote the milk supply when consumed at least 3-4 cups per day. I love drinking this without any addition or with a little bit of honey.

    I love oatmeal! I eat it almost every morning. I add chia seeds and almonds, sometimes mixed berries warmed or banana (I cannot stand cold fruit). I BF exclusively and my 2 month old is 11lbs. But this smoothie recipe is almost exact to mine except the oatmeal. And I usually add both (flax & chia) to my smoothies.

      If you or your significant other is infertile, give the *ThePregnancyFact. Com* a shot. I was dissatisfied by the outcomes that I was received from western medicine. Nevertheless, my pregnancy was successful after getting a nutritious diet and going through scheduled acupuncture treatments for a couple of months. the scene of my year old daughter roaming around the home is incredibly enchanting. obtain much about this excellent method from Google.?

    I love watching this because it actually matches a smoothie that I often make for my 21 month old as well as myself! Now, I have a three week old daughter and the knowledge that this recipe is helpful in nursing her just makes it that much better! Never thought to add almond mm butter though, so this is a great idea! I usually add avocado!

    Is there a difference in terms of nutrient absorption between flaxseeds you grind yourself and buying the ground flax? I learned a long time ago that eating flaxseeds isn't that helpful because our body can't digest the outer shell, so I have always bought ground flax...I hadn't considered grinding it myself, so I am curious which is better!?

    • @monicarussell6004
      @monicarussell6004 6 років тому

      GlowBodyPT you keep the whole seeds in the freezer then and grind with a coffee grinder and keep in the fridge?

    • @rileydruley3993
      @rileydruley3993 4 роки тому +1

      The hull keeps the seed from going "rancid" which greatly reduces the nutrition, and creates bad for you free radicals. After its ground the flax seed starts degrading quickly and is in bad shape comparatively just within a few days, so grinding your own is definitely best. Also soaking the fresh ground seeds in some sort of acid (I like to use yogurt or whey) will open the phitate packets and get you more nutrients. I just grind and then mix in yogurt in a smoothie immediately and store it over night for the next day. That way the seeds haven't been ground long and they get the soak they need.

      @@glowbodypt Thank you! Our babies are a couple weeks apart so this is perfect timing! Your prenatal workouts were so helpful for me this pregnancy (#4)! It is amazing how much better I felt this go around (alleviated sciatica and pelvic girdle pain among others), and recovery is much faster all due to keeping my body strong (with your help) through pregnancy.
