1) De-stress your life. 2) More skin to skin time. 3) Drink plenty of water 💦. 4) Eat healthy food (healthy carbs, sweet potato, beans and carrots, oatmeal, whole grains, proteins from meat, olive oil, good fat, lactation cookies) 5) Nurse or pump often ( Atleast every 2-4 hours). 6) try power pumping ( pick an hour of day devoted to pumping while massaging your breasts with 10 minutes rest after every 20 mins). 7) Use herb teas fenugreek, moringa, fennel, Brussels, or have milk supplements. Thanks ☺️
I find it incredible how none of this information is explained to us at our doctor's appointments. I really appreciate all of the content you are sharing !
Healthy babies don’t make money for drs. 🤷🏻♀️ my opinion. Baby can be healthy on formula but we know of special antibodies that just can’t be duplicated from breast milk.
Awesome advice! When I started exclusive pumping I was only getting 1-2 oz per breast. Now, in the mornings I get about 9oz total and in the evenings it's about 6oz. My routine? -Pump regularly every 3hrs(except at night, I pump right before bed and as soon as I wake up. -Take 2 tablets of fenugreek every day -Eat healthy(lots of oatmeal, I always seem to have a boost after eating oatmeal) -Drink lots of water!(I can always tell when I'm not drinking enough, my supply dips) -I also take Sunflower Lecithin occasionally to prevent clogs. -Look at pictures and videos of my baby while pumping. I keep these up consistently and now I get about 42oz a day. I am now able to donate some extra! Thank you for the advice Bridget!
Tysm for this advice! Breast feeding is so hard but I'm going to feel so good if I stick to this. It's all I've wanted after having My 1st and giving up too soon❤
What i do is i drink garlic milk. I have pcos and so i do not have much milk supply. But garlic milk has helped me a lot. I chop one garlic flake and boil it in water until it is thoroughly cooked. I then add milk to it and drink the milk and chew up the garlic too. My mom and her ancestors have been following for generations. I hope it helps someone!
Keeping your thoughts and stress in check is more important than you think. I remember when I was producing milk if I even thought of my baby or heard another baby cry I would start leaking. It’s amazing the link between our brains and lactation. So if just hearing a baby cry can trigger your body into opening your milk ducts, just keep in mind bad and stressful thoughts can sometimes do damage that we might not be able to visibly see.
So true. Sadly I'm a living experience of how stress killed my milk supply and my baby was barely 2 months old. Relationship stress. Now my baby is 5 months but I'm still trying to see how I can replenish because I really want him to breast feed and not only formula fed. 😢
@@lilrascalish I know, I'm having the same problem. I was pumping consistently well and got it to where I was pumping about 2 to 2 and a half ounces per breast per pump session because my baby was in the NICU because he was born 5 weeks premature and was dealing with jaundice on and off for the first week of his life so he had to stay in the incubator under the blue light therapy so breastfeeding was almost impossible. I was only allowed to keep him out for a half hour every 6 or so hours so I didn't have the time to get him to latch or to really give breastfeeding a solid try. But I was pumping just fine until stressors in my life and especially my relationship with my baby's father started to get worse. I'm still pumping but I'm only getting a few drops per session so I am desperately trying to build up my supply of milk again because I don't want my baby strictly on formula (which he currently is because I can't pump enough). I'm just ar such a loss of what to do and I really hope I can bring back my milk supply while I'm still able to get out a few drops.
Just wanted to let you know I recently had my first baby in December-I was able to have a healthy natural vaginal birth thanks to the help of you & your channel!👏🏼❤️ Thank you so much for helping so many woman!
For those moms that can’t get baby to latch, you can use nipple shield, I use it because my baby was in the NICU and the first thing she tasted was a bottle so we couldn’t learn that natural latch, so I had to opt for the nipple shield. It’s a little frustrating but you can still breastfeed. I use the medela nipple shield
Nipple shields don’t always work. I was given one by the NICU nurse and I didn’t know they came in different sizes. My nipples were too small for it and baby wasn’t getting any milk and lost weight. Drs said to give her formula so she could gain weight and I ended up hating the spitting up and vomiting so I exclusively pumped for a year. It was sooo hard but glad I was able to do that for her.
NICU mom here too. Nipple shields might not work for everyone but it’s good to know it’s an option, I don’t hear it mentioned much. It helped me in the beginning but a few days into it I felt it wasn’t needed. It took a while for my baby to get used to breastfeeding but we got there eventually. Currently doing bottle and breastfeeding, it’s very time consuming. My supply is low and he has tons of reflux and vomiting from formula so I’m struggling to increase my supply 😔
Ive watched your videos the first weeks of pregnancy to the moment I was giving birth and listening to your meditations during labor and even now as I’m breastfeeding my little man. Thank you so much for all of this informative content! I’ve learned so much & I share your page with all new mamas.
Thank you for this. A nurse in the recovery room was pressuring me because I wasn't producing enough colostrum and I suggested it was because I was still dehydrated and hungry. She said that doesn't affect milk supply and that made me scratch my head. Made no sense.
So much great info!!! I wish this video was around in 2013 when I have birth to my son! It was so hard on me to see that I failed breastfeeding in just 2 months of giving birth. It hurt badly I was depressed but I am glad to see this now and very optimistic outlook this time with my newborn. Thanks again. Love how you explain in great detail, you definitely know your stuff!
Jesus es mi Salvación 2 months is still better than none and a great benefit to your little one! Congrats on going for it again! :) If you struggle look into lactation consultants. :)
@@kearabevels4590 I know it’s so easy to feel that way! I also feel like a failure I only lasted the days I was in the hospital because I had a terrible experience. It made me very sad! But don’t ever think that way about yourself! I know it’s easier said than done… however, as long as you’ve fed your baby that’s all that matters. I always tell myself that food in my baby’s belly is better than none. It’s very hard being a mom but we can’t let these things get in the way of being the best we can be, it’s already hard enough after all.
Great tips, loved affirmation portion. Amen. I'm a new mom, age 43. Loving this experience and feel so fortunate that God saw fit for this to happen. ❤️Working on sharing my journey too on my channel. Thank you for sharing 💜
@@roshmorales3392 based on my research you could try to find breastfeeding teas, eat almonds, drink non alcoholic wheat beers and there are some vitamins that you could get from the pharmacy to boost your milk production. Hope this helps you !

There are several tips for increasing amount of milk naturally and found let you baby feed more often fenugreek or other herbs a breast pump (I read these and the reasons they work from Hartlyn Milk Plan site )
There are many factors in increasing amount of milk quickly and found. One plan I discovered that successfully combines these is the Hartlyn Milk Plan (check it out on google) definately the most incredible plan that I have ever seen. Check out all the interesting information .

Thank you for all your videos !! I just had my daughter and labored naturally at home, made it to the hospital with 13 min to spare 😅🙌🏼 I was 9 cm when I walked in to the hospital!! I watched so many of your videos so I wasn’t scared during the process because I knew what my body was doing and I appreciate it so much ! 🙏 thank you !
Thank you! My baby is 8 month old and my milk supply starts to drop due to crazy life of quarantine while working and take care two kids at home. I feel stressed and losing hope! This makes me feel I should believe myself that I can do it!

We drink Agua de Panela (Panela water) in Colombia. I add Anis and drink this every morning. I see this really works. IDK how you say Panela in Colombia but you can find it in any International isle at the supermarket
Hey Bridget! I LOVE your content and have watched so many videos. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update this one with a disclaimer about fenugreek. A little research will show you that not only will it NOT work for over 50% of women, but it will actually have the OPPOSITE effect for them. Yes, meaning it will lower milk supply. Fenugreek destroyed my milk supply about a month and a half ago and it hasn't been the same since. I couldn't believe what I found when I did a little bit of research. There's a reason that Legendary Milk supplements all say "Fenugreek Free" on them... I hope you read my comment and do your own research

Can you do a video on advice for nursing mommy’s who have a thyroid problem? I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism & will be nursing my baby due in 3 months but feeling nervous about not being able to produce correctly
Thankyou so much!. This has helped me alot. I'm two months post partum and I'm currently pumping breastmilk as my baby can't latch and I have inverted nipples. My milk supply has been decreasing lately as my baby has been so clingy that I can't pump, & also a few weekends where I'd have two few many drinks, which I've made the mistake to not express before hand...,I've also been in touch with my spirituality and I really do believe how you manifest your thoughts, you will create that in reality. So thank you again! Liked & subscribed 😊👏🏼
Ha didi sach me mamicon syrup bahut effective product hai maine try kiya hai mamicon syrup mera 1month ka baby tha to muze milk nahi aa raha tha to maine mamicon syrup liya continue 2 month lekin eska results 15 din me hi mila muze$+
I came here to say that after I watched this video, I pumped twice as instructed. I felt proud to be on top of my game. Then I went to pour my milk into the storage bag, I knocked it over by accident. My labor spilled all over the counter and I let out a loud cry. So discouraging!!
This is amazing to know. Unfortunately my son actually had gotten constipated from the herbs that I was taking so I immediately stopped. I’m hoping to increase my supply, it’s a challenge. He just turned 6 weeks old, and we actually do combo feeding to help. Works for me, especially in the middle of the night.
Really trying to up my milk supply because my baby is in the NICU. Shes 27 days old and only had 3 skin to skins, the first being after birth for only 15 seconds 😞 sadly i cant hold her when i want to because of everything she is hooked up to. Nor will i be able to breastfeed because she has a deformity that she has to feed through a tube. Ive tried all this but hasnt worked sadly. Hope it works for everyone else
33 weeker momma who just got home! When we first got home my supply struggled but things are much better now! Stay strong momma. I never understood how difficult the NICU experience was til we were in it. I hope you are staying strong and praying lots.. ❤ I will pray for you, knowing the difficulties you are facing. Biggest blessing in the world yet some of the deepest hardest emotions to process. I hope you get to stay with your baby. And if you aren't able to, I deeply empathize the pain of having to leave baby. It all gets so much better when you get home... ❤ trust the Lord, He's faithful.❤
My baby was born at 31 weeks also I'm struggling to get milk supply to increase as well...and yes the nicu is so hard praying for everyone going through this!❤
I just wanted to say thank you for your video. It has helped me last year. As I got flat/inverted nipple. It was near enough impossible for me, and baby couldn't latch. I was getting stressed. Your tip on power pumping has helped, even though I wasn't producing a lot, atleast I managed to produce some breast milk. Otherwise I would had given up early on.

My son is 5 months and I pump MAYBE 2 ounces a day. He’s on the breast a lot, but he doesn’t get much from me and he gets frustrated. And then I give him formula. I cry about this all the time. Idk what else to do? I’m doing everything everyone says to do and still nothing. 😢 literally crying now.
I am almost in the same boat horrible experience at the hospital produced milk a week after birth. Baby is 3 weeks pumping roughly around 8 fluid ounces I am the primary care therefore I cannot pump always and she will not latch to me therefore I'm stuck at 8 fluid oz per day and formula feeding to suffice I cry all the time about it like the hospital had taken away my ability to be the mother that I wanted to be for her please stay strong

I'm a certifying labour, birth and postpartum doula and I'm really enjoying your videos so far!! I have a question though. Do you only share evidence-based information, or not?
Does it matter which hour of the day you power pump? Does it matter if it’s a different hour each day? And how long do you need to power pump for e.g for a week?
If you want to increase your milk supply eat salmon. You’ll see a big increase and your breasts will feel full. This is based on my personal experience. I’m exclusively breastfeeding, when I feel a decrease in my milk supply I eat salmon.
breastfeed my newborn every 2 hours. However, after 3 weeks, I want to start incorporating pumped milk into the routine. How should I balance breastfeeding and pumping? When should I feed the pumped milk if I’m breastfeeding every 2 hours? I'm feeling a bit confused about how to schedule both. Can you help
I had my son little over 2 weeks ago. I started to take Fenugreek at day 5, I noticed a HUGE increase in milk supply for about a week. 3 days ago I noticed I was barley producing enough. I also experienced major stomach pain in the evening and I was extremely gassy all the time. My son was up ALL night crying for a few days and nothing calmed him down. I stopped taking it and my pain reduced a lot the first night and my son had a great night with me. But still on not producing enough milk. I'm exclusively pumping. I made myself lactation cookies yesterday, I hope they work.
These are great!! I am 10 weeks postpartum, if I follow these tips do I still have a chance to increase my supply? I am at most half where I need to be in supply

Ladies, I put myself in a vicious loop, help, please!)) I have twin girls, born 2500g and 2800g)) Both just don't yet suck strong enough. I use the pump, but also want to create a milk storage for at least 2-3 feedings ahead. Now I pump and they want to eat already, so I give them this milk I just pumped, but dont have a portion for next feeding. So I put them to breast less, which is of course idiotic, since the goal is to breastfeed directly when they have more strength... But my nipples are sore right after pumping and when they wake up, I am empty... Got myself in a this loop. Should I just give them formula once or twice just to have a couple of milk portions ahead? And maybe pump more often? I do it once in 2 hours now. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. oh, btw, I am in Ukraine, so power outages, cant rely on fridge, there are 4 hour breaks in electricity. I guess I'll need to use that bag Medela offers with a col accumulator once the fridge is off. I need just about. 3 portions, not 10, so no need for freezer (thanks to the russians(( )
My baby just screams the whole time I try to breastfeed but he will calmly drink from a bottle which lowered my supply and I had to add formula. Its really crushed me im still dealing with it. It’s so hard cause the whole world makes you feel like a bad mother for not being able to do it. Especially mothers who easily can as soon as they give birth. They act all high and mighty about it and go out of their way to make you feel like you just didn’t try hard enough. I’m heartbroken but nothing works. I pump every two hours and sometimes do it for a whole hour. I drink about a gallon of water or more. Nothing works.
is it true for everyone that the more frequent you remove the milk, the more milk your body produces? I find that for myself, if i pump 4 hours after last session vs 3 hours, I pump out more. It seems like that my body needs time to replenish the milk... what can i do? still pump more frequently?
I gave birth 4 days ago. He has had all my colostrum and my milk made a show yesterday. However, it is not enough and he keeps crying relentlessly-it is heartbreaking. We resorted to buying some single use formula bottles while still persisting on the breast to stimulate them. Last night I was crying to the idea of not being able to breastfeed. I worry there is something wrong with me and i wont be able to give him the best thing there is, breast milk. So heart-breaking.
whoami don’t worry mama! 4 days is still very early. Just keep nursing him as much as you can and it will be ok. I would hold off on the formula because he won’t want to nurse as much
I gave birth1 week ago and I felt the same and I did the same... gave formula to my son but don’t feel bad about it as long as baby is fed what I have been doing is pumping and I’ve seen increase slowly but surely and yes we are so new so it’ll be a process
Do you have any advice/videos for women who pump because their baby won’t take the breast? Just wondering if there’s any advice that would be different from the advice you have to working moms who also breastfeed. My baby hates the breast and screams and pushes it away so I’m currently pumping and producing only about half of what she wants to eat, so I’m supplementing with formula. I’d like to get to the point where I can give her solely breast milk and even store some extra.

Im very curious on this, us mommas going back to our hobbies that have a adrenaline rush. Can it help or cause stress to mess with your milk supply? Im a vocalist for a band and our music is very high energy, something that makes me so very happy. I was worried if it would cause stress hormones or would it actually make it better? :)
I am nursing on demand and I've noticed changes in my breast. The sensation around the areola is kind of numb, but I still feel the letdown if I miss a feed due to formula I would be engorged, but today I didn't feel that she has been eating off and on between naps. I wasn't sure if she was emptying. She is 2 months.
My next baby I’m hiring you ! Lol I wish lactation nurses would tell you all this especially first time moms . I wish I would have pumped more and stored more when my milk first came in. Now I’m struggling to get one good bottles worth .
My baby’s weight stayed the same from birth to one week of breastfeeding and on her 2 week doc appointment she gained 12 ounces more! I stressed the first week so much but I kept breastfeeding as much as she wanted and it turned out fine she’s a good 10 pounds now at 1 month and 1 week. But now I feel like she is eating a lot more and I am not making enough milk.
Hiii Beautiful Bridget! I am expecting my first baby boy in a few weeks. Questions Some of my friends have had breast infections during feeding and had to stop. One of my friends baby got fungus and still continued to breast feed and did a medicine treatment. Advice how can we keep that are clean for us and the baby? BTW I am already starting to lactate. I followed your massage tips and it worked. Also at 28 weeks my baby turned. I felt it that night after i performed the couch and ball exercises. Thank you so much you have really inspired me and my friends

My mom and sister was never able to breast feed fully, it makes me sad especially now that there’s formula vs milk babies and I wish I was breastfed bc it’s what we’re supposed to do. I’m not pregnant but I would like to know if there is anything I can do to increase my chances because I’ve only heard it’s genetic?
Ive been killing myself to pump every two hours for weeks! Still making no more than 2oz per session, and that’s a good session. Sometimes I’ll make as little as 1Oz or less 😞 I’m power pumping, drinking water, breast milk supplements, eating spinach, fennel seeds tea all day, nothing works 😔
Question about power pumping...would your milk supply decrease again after you stop power pumping everyday? How do you maintain your supply once it is up? Will going back to pumping every 2-4 hours help maintain it? Thanks!!
Alice Chen yes please respond to this above question ! I struggle with my baby he’s like 80 percent breastfed most days but some days he’s not getting enough, and smashes through 8oz bottles of formula. He’s 4 months now. I think stress has been my biggest issue. I had a really hard labor/delivery, and a bit of PPD. I have been going on long hikes, and getting me time on Saturdays to decompress but he’s a fast growing boy I feel like I can’t keep up 😳 perhaps I need to drink more water idk. I just started mothers milk tea recently. Ugh the 4th trimester has kicked my ass.

My baby is two weeks old and sometimes I feel like she’s not getting enough milk cause she stays latched on my breasts forever! Could it be that she’s growing or am I not making enough milk? Since she’s stayed latched I noticed my breasts hardened and leaked this morning yet it still feels like she’s not getting enough now. She just ate. I’m finding it hard to pump anything tonight . Could it be that she milked me out or my supply stopped cause I wasn’t consistently pumping after every feed?
Two breastfed infants, aged 15 and 20 days, were admitted to the hospital for a reported lack of weight gain in the previous 7 to 10 days, caused by "difficult feeding". The parents reported restlessness and vomiting during the past day. One of the mothers also reported feeling drowsy and weak. On examination, the infants were afebrile but had hypotonia, lethargy, emesis, weak cry, poor sucking and weak responses to painful stimuli. Infant laboratory values, electrocardiograms and blood pressures were normal, and septic work-ups were negative. Both mothers had both been drinking more than 2 liters daily of an herbal tea mixture reportedly containing licorice, fennel, anise, and goat's rue to stimulate lactation. After the mothers discontinued breastfeeding and the herbal tea, the infants improved within 24 to 36 hours. Symptoms of the affected mother also resolved rapidly after discontinuing the herbal tea. After 2 days, breastfeeding was reinstituted with no further symptoms in the infants. Both infants were doing well at 6 months of age. The authors attributed the maternal and infant symptoms to anethole, which is found in both anise and fennel, but not goat's rue; however, the anethole levels were not measured in breastmilk, nor were the teas tested for their content.[8] google it
Your diet link that you talked about just before starting #5 you pointed up and said you were linking..... no link shows. Can you let me know the link for foods? Thank you.
1) De-stress your life.
2) More skin to skin time.
3) Drink plenty of water 💦.
4) Eat healthy food (healthy carbs, sweet potato, beans and carrots, oatmeal, whole grains, proteins from meat, olive oil, good fat, lactation cookies)
5) Nurse or pump often ( Atleast every 2-4 hours).
6) try power pumping ( pick an hour of day devoted to pumping while massaging your breasts with 10 minutes rest after every 20 mins).
7) Use herb teas fenugreek, moringa, fennel, Brussels, or have milk supplements.
Thanks ☺️
What is the herb she mentioned after the fennel? That helps grow the tissue back. Thanks

-I also take Sunflower Lecithin occasionally to prevent clogs.
-Look at pictures and videos of my baby while pumping.

@@Angel_Billy4-30-23I pray your situation is getting better, stay strong mama ❤
I had the same experience
The 20-10-10 method doubled my milk supply in 2 days...its amazing!!! Thank you so much for this

I know how you feel. With both pregnancies I never been able to breastfeed. I felt like less of a woman.

Try coconut water. Body armor drinks doubled my supply!
What were you taking me and baby are both constipated am also taking supplements for breastfeeding. Could this be the cause ?
Really trying to up my milk supply because my baby is in the NICU. Shes 27 days old and only had 3 skin to skins, the first being after birth for only 15 seconds 😞 sadly i cant hold her when i want to because of everything she is hooked up to. Nor will i be able to breastfeed because she has a deformity that she has to feed through a tube. Ive tried all this but hasnt worked sadly. Hope it works for everyone else
I really hope everything worked out 🙏

Just the right things I needed to know. Specially the “Nurse or pump often” part

I am happily breastfeeding with my baby, he will be 3months end of this month. I’m also so worried because As I observed, he drink 3oz within 4 hours. It’s supposed to be 4-5oz every 3-4 hours. I was monitoring my milk during pumping, not much milk at all 3oz amount for both without feeding the baby yet.
Any suggestions? 🥺

breastfeed my newborn every 2 hours.
Did the lactation cookies work?

What if there is triplets ? How i can breastfeeding my triplets ? they usually refuse my milk and prefer the formula one
Same here!.

Sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, quinoa, whole grains, fruits and veggies. Lactation cookies?
My baby is two weeks old and sometimes I feel like she’s not getting enough milk cause she stays latched on my breasts forever! Could it be that she’s growing or am I not making enough milk? Since she’s stayed latched I noticed my breasts hardened and leaked this morning yet it still feels like she’s not getting enough now. She just ate. I’m finding it hard to pump anything tonight . Could it be that she milked me out or my supply stopped cause I wasn’t consistently pumping after every feed?
For the legendary milk supply supplements, which one works best cash cow, or a liquid gold ?
Thank you so much for this helpful video 🥺😭❤️❤️❤️
The authors attributed the maternal and infant symptoms to anethole, which is found in both anise and fennel, but not goat's rue; however, the anethole levels were not measured in breastmilk, nor were the teas tested for their content.[8]
