Great review! I loved the comic edge you naturally gave it as well. I have one of these coming in the mail. I'm even taking two pedals off my board (haven't used them in a while) to fit this thing. Now I won't get tangled with the bassist's cord when we run around stage anymore :P
I am guessing the reason you are having problems is because of your basses active pups. Since active pups put out a hotter signal you will have to turn the gain down on the transmitter. There is a small knob/dial in the top left of the battery compartment of the transmitter. Turn it counter clockwise until the fuzzy crap stops. Also make sure the volume on the receiver is not set to high as well.
Hi, Thanks for this demo. Good to have someone show exactly how it works. I have a question though. The lead from the guitar to the transmitter which you want to shorten and mount on the guitar strap.... is that a standard jack to jack or is one end of it a bespoke connector into the unit? Cheers Gary
thanks for the review. On older Sennheisers, when the batteries go dead, this horrible SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH happens through your amp or PA. When the AKG goes dead, does it do a similar thing or is it just quiet?
Great video. Have you been able to do an A/B test between a cable straight from the guitar to the amp and the wireless to the amp to see what the sound difference is?
Hey Bassbubble I brought one of these,New batteries in my Basses and of course it's a brand new unit probably the worst sound I have ever had through my rig looking at changing to something else that works without all the fuzzy crap.
Update: The battery died last night. No horrible noises at all. It just went from working to not working. It was like I turned the unit off. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing.
Great video! Effective demonstration of the system. One question: does the receiver have a balanced output and with what kind of cable did you connect it to the first pedal of your pedalboard? Balanced or unbalanced? Last question: if you are ringing near the receiver (less than 10 feet) does it trigger disturbing noises? Thanks, after your video I am thinking about buying this system.
I've just ordered one of these in the UK after seeing your review, and wondered if you're using the 'wallWart' or running it off the pedal board power supply? I've got a VoodooLabs Pedalpower 2 which I was hoping would power it - any thoughts?
It sounds like the battery my be getting low. I would first try changing it and see what happens. If not it may be interference of some sort or the unit itself might be faulty. If changing the battery doesn't work I would suggest exchanging the unit. If you still have a problem after that it is because of interference being caused by something in your home.
Hi there! i have a question :P in our band we've got two guitars and we both are planning to buy this AKG so (there comes a question :D ) can we both use them without any frequency problems? i mean will two mini's work in one band? thanks for reply !
Hi, thanks for review dude! But i got one question: What is the difference between AKG WMS 40 ISM1 (863.100 MHz) and AKG WMS 40 ISM3 (864,850 MHz), i mean those frequensies, do you know?
Kostas Athinaios I just bought one tonite, set up my amp in the garage, and walked down my driveway. When I hit the street, 50 feet away, the signal barely started cutting out. But going behind trees, the range gets cut even shorter. It was a 6 string electric guitar BTW.
Hey, I got that microphone and when I sing on karaoke songs, It is late!!! It goes through a Roland and directly to my computer! Please help! I'm sick and tired of the microphone's latness!!
You cannot use a different lead. AKG may make a shorter one but I don't know. I put the transmitter in my back pocket and let the wire hang. It is not that bad.

Yeah, it works great. I use it ALL the time and have never had a problem. I can't believe how well it works for the cost.
Great video mate. I forgot I had one in the cupboard and hadn’t used it😂 trying it tomorrow at a jam 👍
Nice review man. I guess I'll have to get me one of those systems :)
U must be from NJ, friggin' split level houses built by Levitt...:o)

Levi do a cradle for wireless that you just attach to your guitar strap.
Right on brother! I am looking for a new wireless and looks like I just found the one!
just a suggestion you could tape the wireless pack to a strap if you want to put it on

Great video. Is there a place to plug in-ear monitors in to the transmitter.

Nice review, boght one thanks to your presentation, very pleased with it. Strong, reliable signal, cheap unit.

The output jack is TRS balanced, but you can use it with a TS cable (I think)
Can I connect to pedalboard power supply?
just bought the unit and I'm liking it....

Я только вчера себе взял такую. Замечательная радиосистема. мне нравится.
The delay is most likely being caused by your computer. Also, what do you mean when you say it goes through a roland?
I'm using the wal-wart. I tried running off my boards power supply but it does not work. Dunno if it will work with your Pedalpower 2.
I like this guy \m/ "freedom on the stage" or "be like RockStar" :D i love it
Hey bro, a question, doesn't cut much the lower frequencies?

hello:
Did you compare quality wired vs wireless??
Im pretty interested in this system.
hope you have some advice about it!! great video thanks
It goes through a Roland Duo-Capture (Usb Audio Interface)
I also tried without it but it is the same....
do u have to use the lead provided or can u use any lead into the little transmitter cause i have a very short lead would be perfect
i bought one but the signal gets intense static when i leave my bed room to the living room..how can i resolve this hissing sound?
add a noise gate to your pedalboard. something like a BOSS NS2.

hey wanted to know if this is better then the Samson Concert 77 UHF and whether there is much difference between them and which has less fuzz
How can I get it online
Awesome review!!
But is there any way to fix it?
Is there any delay when playing? Or does it have the same feel as using a patch cord?
lmao! crappy gigs at these shitty places ! great review, (great reviews are rare). thanks much. ordering one for my crappy gigs as well !
how much long is the range of this system?
( the max distance it works) ?

Is it good man? thinking to get this next month!
Hey, I got that microphone and when I sing on karaoke songs, It is late!!!
It goes through a Roland and directly to my computer! Please help! I'm sick and tired of the microphone's latness!!
if you're streaming.. try the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen. Or if you wanna add a 2nd instrument get the 2i2.
great lesson good laugh thanks
you might have to buy 2 different freq. ones
looks sweet :P im sold! i fucking hate wires so this looks perfect to me x
thanx!
It sounds like the latency is happening on the computer.
Dunno I haven't had a battery die on me yet.
8:05 - 8:17 I lol'd.
mark dennis on here does a review on that in his vid /watch?v=lOzMOC54ltE
Also I posted a video of what I am talking about in my last comment.
заебись!!
It feels and sounds the same as using a cord.
Dave Grohl?
ew behringer pedals...
PunkRocka25 Right?
Marco Resendez AKG by Harman, who is also based in Germany. They make Gutes Scheisse!
