    Always wondered what happened to Mr Mark Dolowich. The drummer. I lost contact with him when he moved to Pennsylvania. If anyone knows or could contact him for me please reply. He was a good friend and I'd like to check in with him. I'm his old chimney helper Fred. ❤

    Great video! Effective demonstration of the system. One question: does the receiver have a balanced output and with what kind of cable did you connect it to the first pedal of your pedalboard? Balanced or unbalanced? Last question: if you are ringing near the receiver (less than 10 feet) does it trigger disturbing noises? Thanks, after your video I am thinking about buying this system.

      The output jack is TRS balanced, but you can use it with a TS cable (I think)

    Thank you!! You’re the only one I could find who explains this! I couldn’t get the record levels high enough for my vocals. I used to be able to set the record levels within the vocal track itself. This fixed it for me, so thanks again.

    Levi do a cradle for wireless that you just attach to your guitar strap.

    The slider you're adjusting on the track in garageband doesn't control the input level it just adjusts the level for monitoring and playback 👍 Good vid though. Thanks

    Hi, Thanks for this demo. Good to have someone show exactly how it works. I have a question though. The lead from the guitar to the transmitter which you want to shorten and mount on the guitar strap.... is that a standard jack to jack or is one end of it a bespoke connector into the unit? Cheers Gary

    These are decent guitars. I do suggest exchanging the bridge. Mine has a tunamatic, but I've seen other preset bridges that may sound better. This guitar is cheap enough to experiment with. Mine also has P-90 and Grover Tuners a Gibson wiring. The previous owner did a complete Gibson Makeover to it. I traded a Crate Blue Voodoo stack for it(I nice Amp that I got cheap) So I own a fairly elegant Jazz guitar that plays well for cheap. It sounds great coming out of the clean channel of my Fender Red Knob Twin.

    DUDE, quick question. Can you get multiple trabsmitters for this?

    • @bassbubble1
      @bassbubble1 9 років тому

      Yes, the unit comes in a variety of frequencies. I am not sure how many but I would imagine it's quite a few.

    • @bassbubble1
      @bassbubble1 9 років тому

      If you mean can you have more than one transmitter actually transmitting to the base unit? The answer is yes as long as the frequencies are the same BUT they will step all over each other. I would not recommend it as I can assure...... you will not like the results.

    I heard that Fender gives SX and Douglas trouble because their basses are so much better from a quality and price point. My guess is they give them grief about the headstock.

    Great video. Have you been able to do an A/B test between a cable straight from the guitar to the amp and the wireless to the amp to see what the sound difference is?

    • @chinablows
      @chinablows 9 років тому

      Kostas Athinaios I just bought one tonite, set up my amp in the garage, and walked down my driveway. When I hit the street, 50 feet away, the signal barely started cutting out. But going behind trees, the range gets cut even shorter. It was a 6 string electric guitar BTW.

    Shape's not so bad - painting it to match the body (sunburst) - and applying your own personal logo would have looked sharp also.

    You cannot use a different lead. AKG may make a shorter one but I don't know. I put the transmitter in my back pocket and let the wire hang. It is not that bad.

    Great review! I loved the comic edge you naturally gave it as well. I have one of these coming in the mail. I'm even taking two pedals off my board (haven't used them in a while) to fit this thing. Now I won't get tangled with the bassist's cord when we run around stage anymore :P

  • @bassbubble1

    I am guessing the reason you are having problems is because of your basses active pups. Since active pups put out a hotter signal you will have to turn the gain down on the transmitter. There is a small knob/dial in the top left of the battery compartment of the transmitter. Turn it counter clockwise until the fuzzy crap stops. Also make sure the volume on the receiver is not set to high as well.

    Hey Bassbubble I brought one of these,New batteries in my Basses and of course it's a brand new unit probably the worst sound I have ever had through my rig looking at changing to something else that works without all the fuzzy crap.
