Claw hammer. Matt's off road will have approved the use. Good work Eric on using what you have.
As I always say, Everything is a hammer.
5:22 how do you release drive shaft from gearbox ? Tried a pry bar but to small
Pry bar wedge it between the transmission and the axle, pop it with some quick force and it should pop out
Should I take out one driveline or both to make my wheels spin?
Just one is fine.
I damaged my seal on my 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander. I can’t find a front axle seal anywhere online. Is it called something different?
I had to replace mine as well. It's a dealer only item and there are several part numbers as they changes sizes mid way through 05.
Would you need to do a realignment after replacing the the axle like this?
Absolutely,
@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs ok. Thanks. When I looked it up, I got mixed answers. Which baffled me because of how many parts are disconnected.
