I like these style of bags for my standby gear and my "grab and go watch training ops" bag. I didn't even think of throwing the ciea in the beavertail. I will probably take mine on my DPAA just for that reason. Thanks for the videos, always helpful, especially when money drops!
@@EODFish So how do you stow your helmet when it's not on your noggin, not in a vehicle, and you're mobile (walking)? clip it on your vest? Just a pack with a big main compartment?
I need replacement shoulder straps for my Eagle yote and the customer service is HORRIBLE! First when I asked to PURCHASE replacement they tell me that they don't sell it separate (although many retailers have the sku) and that I have to purchase a whole new pack. Then when I ask about the "Lifetime Warranty" they ghost me. I have never had such a bad experience dealing with a gear company. And every seller online selling them and upgraded alice style multicam shoulder straps is out of stock.
@@EODFish they use to be a great company back when they were based in Missouri. Vista bought them and IIRC the main employees left to start other companies such as First Spear. Now I'm stuck with an early style pack without straps.
patrick stuckey they can depending on the size of the radio. You would have to tighten the straps really tight to prevent it from jumping around. I do recommend these style of bags for either camelbacks or small assault packs.
Hearing ruck while you ruck made my feet break out in blisters.
I just picked up a brand new YOTE for $20. I’m loving it.

Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment man.
my YOTE is rolling in tomorrow wish I had watched this first.
The platatac was/is in use with UKSF just as a testament to their quality. Really looking to get one for myself
Platatac, proudly Australian made!😁
that eod is awesome ive never seen one ,not even on ebay lol
I have found I really like your channel!
Thanks! Happy to have you.
You know it's me, Fish.
this is a longshot but do you think that eagle yote bag could fit a basketball in the beavertail?
No
Great video EOD. Will the beavertail mesh section on the Bullock fit a helmet like the Ops-core fast SF?
In theory yes. Once you mount all the crap on it and fill the bag, I’m not really a fan of that idea across the spectrum of these bags.

@@richdiggs If I need one in the first place it’s probably just going to be on my noggin.
Any known beaver tails that can be taken off and put on another bag besides the mystery ranch stick it ?

Eagle has gone very far down hill.

platatac make great gear, so do sord. both have australian manufacturing bases.
I have had zero problems with either brand other than some odd standard to metric things with the materials.
Do they carry a radio well?
I don’t have access to any man packs so I really couldn’t say. I think that is why they are the size they are though.

Do you think you be able to fit a fire fighter helmet in the helmet carry?
No
How do these compare to the Blackhawk cyane?
I have never tried one.
Is beavertail backpack mod the small one or bigger one of Series of bags
I don’t know what you are asking.
Can you carry NVGs with these?
Don’t see why not.
What is a “ciea”?
Mine detector
@@EODFish Ahhhh. Thanks!
@@EODFish what ever happened to poking with a stick? I guess I'm getting too old 🤣
I still carried my stick too.
How much of a difference does the plastic sheet make?
If you weren’t using it over a plate carrier it would absolutely make a difference.
idk shit about shit, what's that thing you load into the beavertail? a Chia? just curious, i don't work with anything that goes boom
It’s a mine detector.
@@EODFish oh derp. i probably could have guessed that if i thought about it at all lol
Great video thx for your analyze 🤍
