I am a typical suburban professional that in the past 6 months have somehow for some reason started watching vanlife videos. I came across your videos about a week ago, not sure how because I stop watching the vanlife videos maybe about 2 months ago. Any who, man, I love your content and your authenticity. I wish I found the videos today so I can watch them all over again for the first time. I have not gone through all of the videos but I will, and I will surely repeat. You two are very inspirational and informative. I may not live the life you do, but it inspires me to leave less of an impact and enjoy the simple things. Continue the good work and I look forward to more of your ups and downs. PS....I love Camp, thank you for sharing him. Also, I dont know why, but I absolutly love watching you grocery shop and cook in the scamp. My absolute favorite is you making your morning drink.

Ok. I'm sold. Been binge watching. I'm in Washington...on the border...WA, ID. I live on some great property. Private pond. Wildlife. Bald eagles, deer, elk, coyotes, Moose and more. Close enough to town. You are welcome to stay here. Showers, laundry. Was in a band for 35 years professionally. I have stories of survival and stress. IDK if there is a PM but I will watch this post. Very family oriented here. We still have fun. CS

So I came across your channel by randomly clicking away on YT and became so intrigued by you both that I completely lost track of time binge watching.
Personally think it’d be amazing to see someone here who’s never lived this lifestyle try and make it a week living such an off the grid life. I for one depend so heavily on things that are a convenience that this would be such a challenge to me.

I just wanna brag a little :o) In the nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark) we have 'Right of Public Access'. In other words 'the public has access to private land where no damage is likely to result and prohibition would be unreasonable'. You can camp anywhere you want. In Sweden, we have, for example, 1932 miles of coast and 95 700 lakes that's available for anybody. You can pick berries in the woods, climbing or wandering in the mountains of the north etc. If fishing you need a 'fishing card' in some lakes or by the coast dough. It's a kinda permit to fish that doesn't cost many coins.
When I had my wood burning stove, I used a wet rag with ash from the fire on it. It cleans the glass quite well ✌
Between the drone taking off, the drink going round, Kamp playing and running, my CAT was thoroughly entertained. Had me LOL! 😹

Having to move every 14 days seems stressful. It's good to see Kamp looking so happy and healthy!
It’s stressful in some ways, but it also allows us new scenery and experiences! I’d rather it were every 4 weeks or something, but that’s okay! 14 days is pretty incredible as a legal camping limit with how many people are on this planet.
@@ElsaRhae thumbs up on your positive attitude Elsa; I'm an old lady now but when I was a 12 year old I saw a movie called "Pollyanna". I learned in that movie to find the positive side of everything (I think she called it the "Glad Game". It's the secret to contentment. Like you I also craft, draw and paint. I find doing these things especially helpful when I'm trying to work through tough issues.

I’ve been binge watching your channel I just really enjoy the serenity and peace of your video... I just like out you just stepped out on faith and just went for it...
My FAVE breakfast which I cook 4-5 a week. Scrambled eggs, rice, sesame oil, chilli paste (Same brand you guys use) and sometimes kimchi or bell pepper. Tastes great without veggies in it though. Tastes great either way though.

Thanks for another good video! With regard to your getting yelled at by the runner - the further East you go there, the more likely you are to encounter people like that. Be careful. Also, I did invest in a frother and it is now my favorite implement.
Well managed forest, harvesting the trees helps keep it healthy. Circle K's around the country have great Long John/Eclair/Fritter pastries. They just call them, donuts without holes, for ease of pricing LOL.

We call them long johns in Illinois. My mother would make them from scratch for Christmas morning and frost them with vanilla and chocolate icing. Nothing better.

Elsa Rhae and Barron I so envy your lifestyle. Hubby and I are in our 60's and we have a 24 foot caravan as we were going to travel around our own country Australia. Well we have had the damn caravan for seven years now and do you think we've travelled around Australia yet. . . .NO!!! Hubby doesn't want to do it now, so I have this lovely van with solar panel and everything we would need to to travel and there she sits in our backyard under a carport. So I've decided to sell it because he will never do it now. So I watch couples like you doing it and it will have to do but I wish it were us. I'm not well enough to do it alone physically that is as I need a double knee replacement. Anyway Barron and your furbaby Kamp made me laugh so much when they were running and playing it looked like so much fun lol. Dinner looked wonderful too! Hugs, Michelle
I wish your Van was in North America because it were I'd come and buy it off you. I could even take you travelling - I'm old too but two old girls could team up and do just fine. I hope you'll re-consider doing some travel in it - just try a little weekend camp outing you'd be surprised It might cure all that ails you. It's so much fun!

I actually tried a bullet journaling class where they said they could teach me how to make a health tracker page, but I just like your system so much better. If you sold it as a sticker, I would paste it in my notebook for sure.

We call them long johns in Ohio but if they are icing filled they are often just called filled sticks. Curious in your travels has Kamp ever went on any lone excursions? We travel with our 13 ft Scamp and our dobie. Doobie. One morning my husband opened the door to deer at our Kentucky camping spot and Doobie flew out after them. We had about a 45 minute very anxious hunt and holler. It was awful. We are much more careful now . He has a microchip and collar with ID and license but that still doesn’t guarantee return if somebody found a very friendly Doberman wandering the hills of Kentucky.We finally caught up with him...or rather he called off the hunt more likely but as I said we are much more careful and aware of our surroundings when we open the door now.
On the east coast they are called chocolate eclairs lol 😂
