- Welcome to another great video from Angry Beaver Woodworks. Today we will continue with a more in-depth look at how we completed the dirty-pour epoxy finish that went onto the new work shop countertop. This workbench was completely rebuilt in our previous titled "Workbench Rebuild" and I promised everyone a detailed video on how to complete your very own epoxy countertop finish. If we can achieve that goal, I am going to do a custom wooden build project in the new Angry Beaver Woodworks shop and it will be given away FREE! to one of our lucky subscribers. Please stay tuned for future videos and until next time.......Keep on Creating!
I was skeptical when he was mixing all the different pigments but it's hard to argue with the result. Interesting technique to achieve the textured edge, as well.
Love the videos man cant wait for the next one I learn so much from these videos keep up the good work
You keep watching and I'll keep creating....
I really like this! Very nice.
I'm glad that you like it
Very interesting. Did the flood coats self-level to the point that the surface is woodworking flat? I am cosidering epoxy-coating an old desktop for use as a router table and flatness is high on my priority list. Thanks in advance...
My coats DID self level. Even have pushing the pattern around with a heat gun and torch. There were a few minor flaws in the color coat that I have to lightly sand before applying the final top clear coat, but the end result was a pretty level top. I believe that it was only possible because I really focused on making sure that the wood was extremely before starting. As for your idea of using it as a top layer for a router, I think it could work. I can't honestly say how well the epoxy will withstand the wear and tear abuse over a long period of time. I'm really interested to see if you try this and how it will work out. Thanks for watching. Let me know if I can help.
