Absolutely loved the presentation - you pulled together so many threads that I thought I knew and then put a whole historical overlay on it - fantastic. We are a Fiano grower/winemaker from Queensland's Granite Belt (high altitude and cool, decomposed granite soils) wine region. We have been growing and making Fiano for about 15 years and it thrives here. I love being in the winery during ferment and getting a nose full of Fiano! I have noticed that it really responds to season - sometimes overwhelmingly floral/fruit and then sometimes a little austere. Beautiful, beautiful grape and wine - like little balls of sunshine! I’ve had two Italian Fianos and loved them both - similar to a Viognier mouth-feel wise, nice citrus notes. I would love to try Aussie Fiano, will be on the lookout for it here in the states!
Try a north east Victorian alpine valley Fiano from Billy Button wines(if you can find it ) sold out.of "23 Great example ...not flabby good acid and getting better every year
Recently had a Fiano Sannio, and my goodness real bang for the buck. Rounded, floral, tropical, with underlying minerality. What would be the older/oldest Fianos you have tried, and do they hold up?

Oh thank you so much! QLD Fiano is definitely a vibe, no doubt!
Great informative video. Been a fan for years. Love the passion in this one
Honestly, probably would have listened to another hour of this.
Love the passion!
I enjoyed this one much more than the previous too as well. Agreed with the passion.
I’ve had all of the Unico vineyards and their blend. My fav was panda panda. Love if you could put your recommendations in the comments as well
Added the recommendations!@@evolvegymnastics8399
Onya mate. Great video! Ciro Picariello and Cantina del Barone still my leading lights for Avellino. And River Sand ❤️

Great vid. The Terramossa Fiano is a personal favourite!
I've got one hanging out in my cellar. It's a 2018 Donnachiara Fiano di Avellino which looks to be about 4-5 years from the peak of its window.
NOOOOOOOICE! Should put up a photo on the discord channel!
Also have yet to try Fiano but I'm a wine nerd and I should. On my list
It's honestly incredible, we reckon you will really enjoy it. Jump on 'Different Drop' when you get the chance, they have an awesome selection :)
Amazing guide!!
Thankyou! Really Appreciate It!
Not ordinarily a white wine lover, have ordered four bottles because of its provenance. Look forward to trying it. Thanks for the introduction.
Hope you enjoy it!
Not yet. Like to try this soon.
Definitely one to put on the list!
I love Fiano, but I've only had the Italian one. Ill look out for some from down under
'Different Drop' have an awesome selection if you are looking for some Aussie Fiano's :)

Brendan tried a Fiano di Avellino from the early 1970s once - matured gracefully! Not dissimilar to Riesling!
