I always wanted to do this combination... but then I kinda put it aside for other things.... I haven't seen anyone use Castform as a main attacker... good idea! Great battle and I hope to see more of this soon!
@2406Blackbird I put Extrasensory on my Azelf instead of Psychic because it has more PP and the added effect of flinching. Besides, after a Nasty Plot (or Charge Beam for the other 2 members of the trio) boost, it will still do a lot of damage.
@0Yarko Awesome Battle. Castform really showed them Ubers! But actually Weather Ball doubles, and receives effects from STAB and Sunny Day. Meaning the base damage = 50 * 2 (Weather Ball Effect) * 1.5 (Castform's Fire Type STAB) * 1.5 (Sunny Day Boost) = 225 Base Damage. Considering the accuracy compared to Fire Blast, I'd say the trade might be well worth it.
no, weather ball naturally doubles under weather conditions...sunny day itself boosts fire moves an extra 50%, so weather ball becomes 150, and then with STAB, since castform is now a fire type, is 225...fire blast gets the 50% boost so it is 180, and then with STAB is 270 so 270 vs. 225...although i almost think that the more accurate move may be to an advantage, considering castform's frailty doesn't allow it to afford missing with that shaky accuracy
When i played emerald i tested castform out in a sandstorm and when nothing happened i was confused. But a sandstorm is really just a gust of winds make the sand move about so its technically not another weather condition. But i found out recently that weather ball in sandstorm is rock but i think it should be ground.
I figured pointing out the obvious too much would become repetitive. You already know my thoughts on the subject, no need to repeat myself over and over again.
@0Yarko Oh did you know that Weather Ball will have 100 base power when there is weather? also it would be a fire-type move so sunny day will give it +50% power, and don't forget STAB(another + 50%). so i think the total power would be around 200-225. and yes Fire Blast (240) is powerful, but don't forget it has 70 accuracy.
Nice. But uhh i think dat seribii said that a rumor is that shiny pokemon base stats are weaker compared to normal ones but has more evs is that right?
i guess this is 0yarko's version of an uber noob. They pussyed out because strength didn't take out a cherrim. I guess they didn't train Mesprit seeing it has extrasensory instead of psychic
About the color... Something funny happened with my shiny Linoone. In diamond, it's shiny and in a different color. But on PBR, it's shiny with its normal color. It's so weird.
@ThePokemonTutor pp doesn't matter unless you are runnin a very, very low pp move. Mesprit is also slower than most pokemon and the flich hax percentage is so low that using Extrasensory seems mostly pointless. And seeing Mesprits meh Special Attack, it needs the higher base power from Psychic
i just noticed that when you ev train a poke in hp it kinda helps ALOT ... even tho you didnt invest in def or sp.def cherrim has BEASTLY sp.def anyway mine is ev trained in sp.def and sp.atk but i recently found out my cherrim had 1 iv in sp.def... and he is tanking sp.attacks like a beast already .. i couldnt believe it... only ice beam it can barely handle is glaceons but his ice beam is the strongest of all ice type pokemon so yea..
@2406Blackbird I only ever used Mesprit only once - it was rubbish. Uxie can set up Trick Room and the screens, but there are other Pokemon that can do that much better (Bronzong, Dialga, Cresselia, Mr. Mime).
Nice, my calm mind blissey.. modest 252 EVs after 2x calm mind coudn't do that 1HKO with its flamethrower. Might have with helping hand though but that was a single battle so. Anyway good to see Castform as well. 5/5
thats is a nice castform and cherim i like using this strageti to but i am more based in the weather efects i think if you do that you can get the maximum out of weather ball like me with groundom, kiogre, abomasnow and tyranitar since cherim and castform can lern weather ball i usaly bet my oponets esay
@2406Blackbird I don't like Uxie and Mesprit - compared with Azelf they're just nowhere near as good. They don't get Nasty Plot or Swords Dance, so the only way to boost their mediocre sp. attack is through Charge Beam. And as stalls, both are thoroughly outclassed.
@2406Blackbird To be honest, none of that trio are anything special. IMO Azelf the best one. It can KO opponents quickly enough, and when it's backed into a corner it can use Explosion. I mainly used Mesprit to Skill Swap support Regigigas. But really, Drifblim, Blissey, Alakazam and Espeon can all do that so much better.
"A chilling breeze can be felt in the Colosseum!"
>Sunny Day
Yeah, right.
Holy crap! The Fire Blast was da bomb! Cherrim's sunny day Sp. Atk boost plus helping hand plus Castform's same type boost = Dialga's funeral.
20 stars for castform and cherrim for beating a legendary pokemon with one KO
I always wanted to do this combination... but then I kinda put it aside for other things....
I haven't seen anyone use Castform as a main attacker... good idea!
Great battle and I hope to see more of this soon!
@0Yarko actually, with STAB, and Sunny Day boost, Weather Ball has a BP of 225 in sunlight, when used by a Castform
You should already know he's a noob when you see that he caught his Giratina with a Master Ball.
@2406Blackbird I put Extrasensory on my Azelf instead of Psychic because it has more PP and the added effect of flinching. Besides, after a Nasty Plot (or Charge Beam for the other 2 members of the trio) boost, it will still do a lot of damage.
lol you make my castform look like a wimp, it knows thunderbolt, flamethrower, ice beam and weather ball XD
Witness a true champion, MY F*CKING BALLS! Yarko..you are awesome. I'm definitely getting a Castform for my team in BW.
@0Yarko
Awesome Battle. Castform really showed them Ubers!

@ThePokemonTutor well its nice to know that you learned from your mistakes
Yes, but so it doubles the fire blast. Weather ball goes to 100 (conting stab), while fire blast goes to 240 :)
@ThePokemonTutor uxie is okay as it is defencive and can set up screens, and if you hate mesprit than why did you use it?
no, weather ball naturally doubles under weather conditions...sunny day itself boosts fire moves an extra 50%, so weather ball becomes 150, and then with STAB, since castform is now a fire type, is 225...fire blast gets the 50% boost so it is 180, and then with STAB is 270

You know what is odd about castform, in pokemon mystery dungeon 2, it has a body size of 4, LOOK AT IT! IT IS TINY!
I can't believe you didn't complain about extrasensory on mespirit (it's not that bad, but where's psychic?) and strength on torterra.
@0Yarko Actually, wouldn't weather ball be at 112.5 and fire blast at 270? (X1.5 for STAB, X1.5 again for sunny day)
Nice. But uhh i think dat seribii said that a rumor is that shiny pokemon base stats are weaker compared to normal ones but has more evs is that right?
3:28. Having the capability of using Dragon Clauw without actually having clauws... :P
I like Pokémon! So many possibilities.
i guess this is 0yarko's version of an uber noob.
I never understood Helping Hand. But from what it did to Dialga...does it bost the power of teamates in double battles?
@Opolache It's not shiny - Cherrim transforms in Sunny Day
@ThePokemonTutor pp doesn't matter unless you are runnin a very, very low pp move. Mesprit is also slower than most pokemon and the flich hax percentage is so low that using Extrasensory seems mostly pointless. And seeing Mesprits meh Special Attack, it needs the higher base power from Psychic

only ice beam it can barely handle is glaceons but his ice beam is the strongest of all ice type pokemon so yea..
but castform isnt really a fire type, it just has a sunny form, snow-cloud form and a rain form
I highly doubt it.
but the power of weather ball doubles in weather
i cant tell you how many times ive seen someone surrender against you when u had baby pokemon :l
+speed nature and EV'd in Speed and HP
i think i have to get my cherrim HH aswell..
that cast form owned while my castform cant kill a thing
Because weather ball only has 50 power, fire blast has 120
Does it bother anyone else that Castform has a different form for every weather except Sandstorm, one that actually does damage to it?
@0Yarko: hey howyou get a shiny cherrim? i dont get it
What nature is your Cherrim and what is it EV'd in? :)
hmm my cherrim epicly dies from physical attacks but his sp.def is nice..
yours seem to deal with both .. or that giratina just got suck evs xD
why not give castform weather ball
@2406Blackbird I only ever used Mesprit only once - it was rubbish. Uxie can set up Trick Room and the screens, but there are other Pokemon that can do that much better (Bronzong, Dialga, Cresselia, Mr. Mime).

Castform is EPIC WIN in pokekmon. But no one pays attention
HAHAHAHAHA THAT WAS SO AWESOME XD KINDA SUCKS THAT THE GUY WAS TO MUCH OF NOOB TO ACCEPT HE WAS GONA LOSE XD
@TheCasualCommenter Same and totaly agree
Thumbs up for kicking the shit out of an uber noob
thats is a nice castform and cherim i like using this strageti to but i am more based in the weather efects i think if you do that you can get the maximum out of weather ball like me with groundom, kiogre, abomasnow and tyranitar since cherim and castform can lern weather ball i usaly bet my oponets esay
Now i want a Cherrim =p
@2406Blackbird I don't like Uxie and Mesprit - compared with Azelf they're just nowhere near as good. They don't get Nasty Plot or Swords Dance, so the only way to boost their mediocre sp. attack is through Charge Beam. And as stalls, both are thoroughly outclassed.
that is totally 100% wrong, the only thing that makes them different is their colors
ok dialga was hit by a stabbed boosted supuer effective move so ... ya its gonna die
Thumbs up simply for Cherrim :D
3:00 3:36
no, not at all.
Geez, the stereotypical Uber Users strike again.. >_> Not to mention they acutally put Hm's on their Pokemon..lol
i love your cherrim
@2406Blackbird To be honest, none of that trio are anything special. IMO Azelf the best one. It can KO opponents quickly enough, and when it's backed into a corner it can use Explosion.
I mainly used Mesprit to Skill Swap support Regigigas. But really, Drifblim, Blissey, Alakazam and Espeon can all do that so much better.
Thumb down the 1 star rateeeer!
just give em legal stats and moves
0Yarko, I challenge you to a PBR Castform Battle! Do you accept my challenge? I also challenge anyone to a battle.
its pokemon battle revolution
what do you need to be strong not legendaries like that dude with pika paint and you have really good strategy with castrom and the other dude!!!!!!!!
@ianisagleeklike I'd say CREMATION would be a better Term. ^_^
Yeah, 5 legendaries and then they forfeit. Typical..
u only koed dialga because of helping hand:P
lawl XP
Well said, that's why i prefer to hack my stuff, i cba to waste that much time on this game
Do you even know what spam means?
And if you haven't noticed it, you can't thumb me down, lol
That mesprit sucks, honestly.
thumbs up
It probably was a little kid >.> lol
Cherrim is so fucking cute!
im a guy and im saying this because its true!
Obvious noober uber user is obvious.
some people online have such dumb movesets
You're humiliating yourself dude, sometimes it's best to just shut up :)
