Glad Zlatan gave them permission to do this podcast. Thanks Zlatan!
Zlatan gives permission for ALL podcasts.
Zlatan actually called Ben and told him to do this podcast, Zlatan is the podcast
Talking is much harder than being a legend
Ur welcome
LOL
He actually said that thing at the time. Wenger wanted a trial. Zlatan refused. The Arsenal manager confirmed that in a podcast not long ago.
And it was malmo Zlatan
And he retired at 41
Zlatan is a true legend of the game, the character, the antics, and the laughs of his manoeuvres off the field also, a very acute individual, and was a huge martial arts guy too, so no slouch in any way, sharp mind sharp body and funny bastard
We all like Zlatan kid, but this level of fanboying is just sad. Stop. Get some help.
The Zlatan is a true Zlatan of the game*
@@fredrik8500shut up neek
@@fredrik8500easy to make someone feel bad about something or someone the find cool u boring sad lil man
@@fredrik8500U dont watch much football do you
he didn't retire at 38-39...he retired at 41
Won his last Scudetto at 40
Zlatan did'nt retire. Football retired.
Yeah but these guys are clueless brexits
They’re doing this for the views mate they don’t got a clue about his career
@@Cedisdead And which vanquished nation do you hail from sir?
Zlatan has confidence and he’s also comedic with it nothing to hate there😂😂😂
Anyone who don’t like him just don’t see the jokes or hate the truth about the jokes
People think Zlatan is rude and obnoxious, they don’t get that he’s making fun of peoples view of him. He gives them what they want and laughs. He actually has a great sense of humour, and a great belief in himself. Sure, he has an iron will and he demands the same from his surroundings, that’s why he was, without a doubt, one of the best footballers of his generation, in the world. Period.
He is rude and obnoxious
Iirc 38 year old Zlatan left LA Galaxy and went back to a mid table AC Milan. Then Led AC Milan to the title. Scoring more than a goal every 2 games for 2 seasons before having a another serious injury. Retired at 41.
Zlatan is one of the best strikers of all time. PERIOD.
Yep he was but a total bellend of a person. 😂
Zlatan's a maverick. Like a Cantona or some of those weird, genius goalkeepers that aren't like the rest of whatever squad they play in. An individualist.
Nothing further from the truth
Zlatan is just that guy
Zlatan is a very relaxed and loving family man in private. Outside that he's just Zlatan.
Zlatan is the Chuck Norris of football, and may he never change!
When he says:"first i went left and so did he, then I went right and he went to buy a hot dog" is an old Malmö classic among immigrants, Zlatan didn't invent that one he just made it famous. It's a funny one though and I believe its funnier in swedish to be honest 😆
Don’t know if it’s necessarily classic among immigrants.. my father used that line on me when I was a kid. But I get your point, definitely funnier in Swedish too lol
@@pimpking3135 You're probably right it's just that I haven't heard it used that much by swedes, they are too diplomatic 😅
@@Armanijesus well yeah I guess that’s true in many cases 😅
Zlatan is a legend. He is larger than life and EVERYTHING he says is said with equal measures of purpose and a sense of humour.😂
He also backs it up on the field, and his team mates in all teams he has played for loves him. He expects the best from everyone. Zlatans gold standard sets the stamp on every team he plays for and makes all of them better.
He is a consigliere for AC Milan now.
Not sure Messi liked him 🤣🤣🤣
Keep up the great work Fozzy
As an English football fan, you can help but love zlatan!!
It’s not arrogance, it’s called CLASS!!
The man’s won nearly everything
Jimmy Bullard deserves a shout. Wasn’t the level of ibra but arguably more hilarious 😂
he was more loveable than a shithouse
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined RedBird Capital Partners as an Operating Partner and will serve as a Senior Advisor to AC Milan Ownership and Senior Management. Dont think he would ever do punditry
I would love to have Zlatan in my life, just for a brief weekly chat. When I say "brief", I mean about three minutes. Any more than that would be absolutely insufferable.
But, I would find myself needing those three minutes and looking forward to them all week.
He’s an entertainer, from every quote or interview he has given to every goal and skill he has shown on the pitch. An all time great and a totally unique character and player
Noone has ever scored goals as good or unique as Zlatans. That 4-2 vs England will forever be known as the greatest goal ever.
I just love Zlatan's personality, because, the things he says are funny. You know he is kinda joking but not really when he says those things, he thinks them but he ofc exagerates them a little because, it's his persona 😂 love it!
Do not get it twisted tho, he could back every single statement he made on the pitch, he wasn't only talk 😂
camera quality is AMAZING !!
Ibrahimovic is a legend such a character that soccer not gonna have for long time
Zlatan currently serves as an official advisor to the owners of AC Milan (Redbird Capital, where he took on the designation 'operating partner'), which per my understanding means that he's in a sort of technical director role at the club, spends a lot of time in and around the technical staff and squad, etc. He was very popular in the dressing room during his final stint there, so this makes sense from a player relationships sense.
(Worth noting that Redbird may not be in their position much longer, so we'll see how long this lasts.)
”Went to buy a hot dog” is a common saying in Sweden within sports when the opponent has been totally outmanoeuvred
Zlatan inspired the Z in the podcast name
Zlatan has stated that Mohammed Ali was a role model for him, and remembering Alis trashtalk and oneliners one can see that in Zlatan. Both walked the talk.
Humans don’t compare themselves with lions 🦁
Also Zlatan did reject Wenger on the phone and this is before Ajax. That takes a lot balls. He writes about it in his book and has spoken about it interviews.
Ive only ever heard him praise two players during his entire career, R9 and Adriano.
Wrong. Listen to him talk about Messi. He has praised Messi countless times about how good he is.
@@chaboyaj9189 You really want me to go and search through a dozen videos show me the proof 😂
Messi too
Messi
Had one from the Swedish nationalteam retiring, and he got a car from the Swedish FA. The womens team asked where the car for their players were. Zlatan answer was that he would buy a bicycle and sign it for them.
I’m pretty sure Zlatan was still at Malmö when he said the Arsenal thing and instead ended up going to Ajax
Right
@@razzey3367 they forgot about him taking the swedish fa to court as he won the swedish league but wasnt getting paid as he was under 16. He said cancel all my goals, long story short, zlatan got paid.
Watch his farewell speech. Opposition supporters in italy were booing him when he was talking, then he said to them to quite down necause this is only time they will witness greatness or something to that degree. He was savage.
I recommend people listent o his dressing room speech at AC Milan when they won the title. It is epic.
As an American... I will never not laugh when Brits call people a Donut...
Zlatan is an absolute legend - I'll never forget the season he had with United, had 28 goals by Feb in a dreadful team. Such a travesty for us he got injured.
My Swedish heart ached when he got injured, I felt like the whole Swedish football got injured, no one thought he would come back from that.. nasty fucking injury as well
You couldnt be more wrong, met him in person and he was really nice!
Played for six teams that won the champions league but he never got one himself. Definitely on the list of the greatest that were unlucky not to do it I suppose
Up there with Ronaldo R9 and Buffon
The Carlos Vela one I remember. They made a big deal about him being a big player. at the time Carlos Vela was 29 at the prime of his career. Zlatan said something like "Carlos Vela is playing in MLS and he's in his prime. When I was 29 where was I?"
My hero ❤
Zlatan said he will never manage because he would slap 2 players during the game and 8 after the game 😂😂
Pirlo has a whole loaf pf these kind of quotes as well.
Zlatan is actually a really relaxed guy in real life. He just likes to annoy journalists and bust their balls.
Ibra is such a legend, and he played untill he was 41
The best LA story is the IKEA one :) Zaltan retied last year i AC Milan i belive the age 42.
Zlatan works at Redbird, which owns AC Milan. He's basically the liaison between the players and the ownership.
That "Zlatan don't do auditions" is actually true. He talked about this in an interview in Sweden, and that he actually regrets it. He confirmed that it was very immature.
He actually said the Zlatan doesn’t do trails while at Malmö and signed for Ajax instead
The thing about sending the defender to buy a hot dog is a common expression in the Swedish game.
Zlatan was 41 when he retired
I would love to hear you have a discussion about Zlatan being the GOAT,, I mean as you said, he went to every big team and crushed everywhere.. Messi and Ronaldo just played in 1 team basically... In my book what Zlatan did in all the clubs he played in, will never ever again be done by anyone.. P.s It's a disgrace that Zlatan never won Ballon d'Or award..
Come on, we need the likes of Zlatan in the game. What a legend!
Zlatan is really funny guy behind the cameras too!
there was a small local reporter asking him” would you want the same brand sponsor like beckham had with adidas?, you know getting new socks and underwear after every game? ”
Zlatan: ”Zlatan does
not get scared during games so he does not make brown marks in the underwear!”
🤣🤣🤣
He has a ``ambassador``/consultant type role at AC Milan, thats what he is doing now
I consider Zlatan #1 of all time when I include the level of skill but also entertainment value. Best player ever in the game imo when you combine those 2 factors.
What many people not seem to know: Z has far more self distance than most superstars. And that typical frank odd Z-humour is very often misunderstood and falsely presented/declared.
Actually Z is not seldom underrated instead of the opposite.
At his peak/ best he really deserved at least one ball d'or.
This guys sizzle laugh is wild
Incoming call from:
Neal Maupay 📞
"Zlatan doesn't do auditions." that was in 2000 and he was with Malmö FF, not Ajax.
only two clubs managed to cheat Zlatan and that was Ajax/malmö in 2001. Despite the 7-8 million fee ,his monthly salary was only 15.000 euros. He asked the CEO in Malmö if that salary really was decent and was lied too. In Holland he found Mino Raiola and the rest is history.
You really have to see the interview with him after his career. Yes, he said so to Arsenal. Yes, he bought a full page in a newspaper. Yes, he sent the t-shirt back.😂😂
The king.
I'm pretty sure the Arsenal quote was before Ajax when he played at Malmö FF.
Zlatan plays a character. I’ve heard he’s joking with all this stuff
Zlatan is a goat,and has a crack,its tong in chek 😂❤😂🎉🎉🎉
The hotdog quote is directly translated from Swedish. We use it all the time though we say sausage instead
He's not trialing for Arsenal and he backed it up, look at his career. I'm having that
He’s been speaking as “Zlatan” since he was 20. “Do you know Zlatan?” To the Dutch reporter
The comment about John Carew was because of the rivalry between the two siblings Norway and Sweden. John Carew was as usual a bit cocky, and Zlatan shut him down with an orange just like any little brother would do. A bit annoying for us norwegians because Carew was actually pretty good, and that coming from a swede was a kick in the nuts.
Zlatan retired at 41 not 38 and he did it scoring most goals per minute played in Serie A
Zlatan is in Milan now as a advisor or something similar .
Zlatan has his tongue firmly in his cheek most of the time is just along for the lolz. Like Ali G.
Zlatan is a funny guy
Zlatan is working for the Milan owners now.
Zlatan is the Chuck Norris of football
Zlatan a legend is his own mind, couldn’t do it in the premiership
Zlatan is the spice of life. Might as well enjoy it.
Zlatan didn’t retire from football…
Football retired from Zlatan.
Get Zlatan on here.
At the end of an interview, Zlatan was asked what he was buying his wife for Christmas. His reply, "She does not need presents, she has Zlatan.". With his comments, it is hard to tell whether he is the ultimate conceited prat or has a brilliant sense of humour. I think it might be a combination of the two. The opinions of former team mates of him are varied. The sledge of John Carew's ability is interesting, considering that Carew is one of only three players to have scored in European competitions with seven teams. The other two are Adrian Mutu and Zlatan. So, if Carew achieved it with a ball, Zlatan must have done it with an orange.
To be fair the hotdog thing is a saying in Sweden, so that wouldn’t have been puuuure disrespect
He is the lone great white shark in a sea of fishes
damn nobody did’t there homework for this one .
Under rated player
He retired at 41
Zlatan's middle name is himothy😂
Important to say that most of the later quotes were said with a shit eating grin on his face. He was totally self aware later on in his career and mostly did it for his brand. He was a little shit when young though.
Literally named all the clubs when not in his prime years.
I love how English people talking about respect and bla bla bla.. but underestimate every nation and football. Like they did with Croatia. It's coming home 🥳
Zlatan is3a G
Get Zlatan on, I bet he’s got some incredible stories…obvs about how great he is and was everywhere he went 😂
Bit off topic but just read this;
"Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals marriage proposal was REJECTED - and partner who’s 11 years his senior won’t get second offer"
Very Zlatan!
So a 53 year old woman turned him down and he’s still taking care of her anyway?
Very beta
In the world of football you NEED characters like Zatlan, like George Best, Like Beckham, Like Zi ZUO, Like Christiano. Otherwise football just like that and a job would be absolutely boring.
One of the only world class footballers with a personality..most footballers are horrible to listen to, talk with no emotion and can barely string a sentence together. Rooney, Messi, Beckham, list goes on tbh.
Yeah, he said it in an interview at LA, that athletes nowadays wanna be political correct all the time, and he's just not that.
The interviewer brought up an older quote from him:
A reporter asks why there are scratches on Ibrahimovic's face.
"You'll have to ask your wife that one."
The Arsenal trail thing is true. Wenger has said it himself
You're totally wrong about how he is in real life btw.
Zlatan is a total legend, on and the field, at one time easily the 3rd best player in the world, and a total comedian as well
I think you need bigger mics guys…
Signed the lebron jersey n sent it back 😂😂😂
Title should be is Zlatan the biggest player of all time? Bigger in terms of someone we will miss and never find again. (messi is included, zlatan is just too unique personality and playstyle wise)
He plays a character 😂 If you guys can't get that it's sad😂
Zlatan is footballs Chuck Norris 💯💪❤️🙌
