Thank you for reacting to A.C.E. They are true aces. They have songs in many different genres. A.C.E have 5 members and there are two rappers among them. But they are also vocalists. They have another 2 fully English songs: Down ft Grey and I Feel So Lucky ft Hcue (French dj). But their Korean title tracks are bangers! Undercover, Savage, Goblin(Favorite Boys), Higher, Chager, Callin'... Hope you will react to them too.

Thank you for reacting to A.C.E! I hope I can remember all the questions you asked. They are a 5 member group, but only 4 members were in this MV because the youngest is still in the military. They had intended to enlist at the same time, but certain things prevented that, and there are still about 3 months because Yuchan, the maknae, returns.
This isn't their first song in English, but this is just a pre-release, so their full comeback is going to be later. No date yet given. This song was written by a western artist (Etham Basden). I don't know how that came about, but there you go.
This group does have 2 main rappers. For whatever reason, the songwriter didn't feel rapping was necessary, and I agree. All of the members are vocalists, however. The maknae is actually one of the main vocalists.
I recommend their title songs Undercover, Savage, Goblin, Higher, and Take Me Higher. I don't know if you watch dance practices or not, but they are strong dancers, so if you're interested in that, then dance version MVs, performance videos or dance practices if they're available would probably be enjoyable. If you want another English song, there's Down, a collab with a North American duo known as Grey.

i’m so glad they didn’t include a rap section, two of them (wow and byeongkwan) can deliver good and iconic raps but i prefer them both as vocalists
as to why it’s in english my guess is that since it was their first release after 2 years and given that they’re more popular outside of korea, they preferred to release something that could reach new people too

Thank you for checking out A.C.E! They’re one of the most talented and slept on groups out there. They’re my ult group after SHINee so you know I’ve got TASTE! 😜
Other people have said a lot of things that you need to know so I won’t rehash them, but these guys are so unique in the industry. They’ve done all sorts of genres and they’ve done so impeccably. They started with heavy EDM with Cactus and Callin way back in 2017, so they’ve always been a little ahead of the curve, which I also appreciate.
Their dancing is unbelievably synchronized and, as you’ve seen, even the rappers are talented vocalists. I appreciate all of the different colors they each have, and work a lot in lower registers than usual in Kpop. The members are now 25-30 years old so there’s also a maturity there that I think you’ve sensed.
I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but Beat Interactive was literally built from the ground up with them. They did a lot of busking and started with just a few onlookers and went up from there. They gained some popularity wearing some particularly noteworthy outfits (check out their Cactus Dance Relay to see what I mean…)
Basically, these guys deserve the world and I would love it if you checked out more of their work. Higher and Undercover are two my favorites and the Cactus needs to be experienced.
Their vocal covers are also impressive. I’d recommend Young Blood and Someone You Loved just to see how talented they are on their own.

This is the group (unfortunately without Yuchan at the moment) that we would have had if rappers were somehow not mandatory in kpop, which meant that two of the singers had to acquire rap skills because the two rappers had left the group before they debuted. That means the group would have consisted of 7 members instead of 5. The song is their 3rd English song. The first one is called “I feel so lucky” which brought them to my attention at the end of 2018. Then as now, I don't see the boys as a kpop group, but simply as Korean artists who had to fit into the kpop category in order to get attention from their own population. They're just different than the other kpop groups, and I've seen a lot of them since around 2005.

There's 5 members in the group but the maknae Yuchan is still in the military and will be back on February 15th😊
They debuted in 2017 btw.
They're actually known to do amazing covers, especially english covers and are known to do them better than the og artist 😂
Please check out their TT's.. Debut was Cactus and it's EDM, then Calling kinda the same style.. Then they did Take Me Higher with the same 4 members because the Maknae Yuchan was in a temporary group at the time.. Then we got the big boys Undercover and Savage which are some of their most known and Ivonic songs.. Then we got Favorite Boys (Goblin), which was my first CB and another banger that should have gotten them their first win 🥺 Then they did a Fave Boyz remix with Steve Aoki.. After that came the single Down which was an all english track with 4 members (one was on hiatus), that they did with an american duo group called Grey.. Then we got the AMAZING Higher CB where (yet again) the concept fotos were GORGEOUSand the song is soo goid as well.. They ended up doing a fun bright song called Changer as a ladt CB before military enlistment started 😊

the great with A.C.E is that the rappers are also very good vocalists. Wow at 3:38 is a rapper and ByeongKwan, who starts the song, is also a rapper. Just a fun fact since you were surprised there were no rappers on this song. Although other viewers already explained that A.C.E does have an amazing rap line with two amazing rappers, it was revealed ages ago, on a bygone interview, that originally the group was supposed to debut with seven members. It so happened that the two members that originally were selected as the rappers ended up droping out during their trainee days, and that's when BK and Wow steped in to fill this role in the group, although before they were also part of the vocal line. That's why today we have 5 amazing vocalists in the group. No wonder the group was named A.C.E since the boys were all ace trainees back in the day and are still ace performers today, even though they are still quite underrated.

I've seen people replying to most of your questions, like number of members and their brief history, so I'm not going to repeat what they said. What's interesting to me is your comment about them having more mature voices, and you're so right about that. It's one of the reasons why they are my ultimate group. They debuted quite late for a new group - I mean, their youngest, Yuchan, was 20 years old at the time. Usually groups debut earlier, and the oldest members are around 20. I think it played to their advantage, because it allowed them to start with mature, adult concepts and choreography (please remember that 20 is the age of consent of South Korea, which is why when the maknae of the group hits 20, the group can start doing more 'sexy' concepts). While we call A.C.E a boy group, they are definitely not boys, but adult men, and it reflects in their voices as well.
As for the song being all in English, A.C.E are probably more popular overseas than in Korea, which is a damn crime, if you ask me.
I know others are sure to recommend their songs and disgustingly amazing covers, so I'm looking forward to seeing more of your reactions to them.

Please do check out their older content... yes, there will be raps and kpop things, they are a kpop group after all, but they are also unique, trying out so many different music styles... you could check out their covers, because they will show off their amazing vocals, and their harmonies are to die for - real kings of harmonies these 5...

Lunarsensitive answered most of your questions, but I wanted to emphasize that they got their name A.C.E mostly because they were at the top of their game at their own "specialties" but also because they wanted to aspire to be All-rounders.
When they trained they made sure that the vocalist was dancing at the dancer's level and vice versa. Now it would be impossible to tell who hadn't started as rappers. Their two rappers, Kim Byeongkwan and WOW, started as dancer/vocalists but became rappers. I will admit that I wasn't blown away by their rapping in their early songs, but now they have developed into very unique stylized rappers.
The one thing you can count on with A.C.E is that they will always surprise you. I hope you're here for it. I kinda think you are.

Everybody said a lot already. I will just add that so far both of their pre-releases for this minialbum (Effortless and Angel) came in both Korean and English versions and lyrics differ in vibe between the versions. They are very aware their fanbase (called Choice because we chose A.C.E instead of someone more famous and mainstream) is half, if not more, overseas fans.
As for the rap, they have two rapper as said, but they even chose to do a song that is whole-semi-rapping for all members, with a tougher vibe (Savage), they are all really all-rounders, though Junhee and Donghun don't like to rap in general :) Their maknae, though, who is main vocal with pretty angelic voice (now in military as stated), is pretty good rapper too, which can be heard/seen in Undercover.
They are also concept kings. Every single one of their main tracks has unique concept and especially Higher and Goblin (Favorite boys) are probably the prettiest and innovative things you will see in the whole industry.
They are really worth all the time you can spend researching them.
