I think the MV is like this because they started filming it when WoW and Donghun came back and then filmed the rest when Junhee and BK came back which is why they aren't together so they could get the MV and album out faster. It hasn't been that long since BK came back so it's why the MV isn't all of them together.
I was crying cause my Ace boys were back but also dancing cause this song is so good. I was an overwhelmed Choice.
I absolutely love the song. It is my type of sound 100% and I am so so happy that they are back because I missed them so much 😭
I fell in love with A.C.E over their military hiatus and they quickly became my ult after SHINee. (Im more or less an OT5 with Donghun, Junhee, or Wow pulling a bit forward according to the day.
I’m in love with this song…it’s got that “driving on the highway at night” sort of vibe. Very chill and a change but still recognizably them.
I was also VERY intrigued that the MV for their first new song was the English version. I’m red-string-and-cork boarding theories about why that is. I don’t know if they’re trying to make a bigger break into the Western audience or what, especially since they’ve been well received here. And I’m also curious about the reaction from the Knetizens for that choice.

I was so excited hear/see A.C.E again and I was not disappointed! It's one of those songs that you can sing along to by the second chorus. I love both versions. One thing I noticed about the MV is the guys are never on the screen together. If they had been I don't think I could have held back my tears of joy. I agree that their look and sound is more mature here and I can't wait for more.
It is really amazing to be able to hear their beautiful voices on a new track both in all english and korean. They really are amazing. P.S: I know it has nothing to do with ACE, but i have been watching your reactions for a while and I know that you love some deep vocals. Since I don't know if you already know of them in your own time, i wanted to share with you the name of a group that I really really love and are also from the same compagny. The name is Forestella. If you are interested sometime, i personaly think they are wonderful too. As a person that loves a lot of groups, I can say that we have been blessed with all the comebacks and amazing albums this year. Even if some events were not as happy, we were able to stand strong because of the music.

I was so surprised that this track is an all-English track but omg I love it! That being said, I just listened to the Korean version of this and I love it even more, haha. I'm so happy with this release and the only sad thing is that Channie isn't here with them. But he's coming back soon and I'm so excited to see what they do in the future. Monsta X is my ult, but oh man, A.C.E is a close second (though sometimes I don't know who's second place, A.C.E or C.I.X cause they're always trying to outdo one another, lol). I really love the melodies of their voices and the way they use their amazing vocals! The mv is very different, but that makes it so good. I have a theory for what the song is about. I am gonna share what I already posted on Twitter.
I think Effortless is about A.C.E rushing back to us before someone else snatches Choice. Because every group tries to impress and the potential fans aren't even aware how much the groups try, just casually browsing. They are not aware how many eyes are on them, how many want them to look their way. They are effortless, just doing their own thing not aware of how important they might be for the groups. The effort is always one-sided, until the fans get hooked.
I think the song is about the feeling of running out of time to truly secure the love of A.C.Es life - performing and Choice. I think the song is about mourning the lost time. I think the beaten, forlorn and confused Junhee is about the feeling after military, looking around. And the hand in the darkness is about reaching out, hoping someone will take that hand. The dusty chain is about bond with Choice being dusty because of the hiatus, and the breaking of that chain is about fear of bonds with us breaking. The burning flowers are about fear their efforts might be futile.
And I think the rose scattering at the beginning and the horned person are references to Beauty and the Beast and the time to find true love and break the curse running out with every petal the rose loses.
I think they poured all their after-military feelings and anxieties into this one song. 😭❤🔥
