Oh yeah I’ll just check my air tag. I’ll put it in when I get my bike back from the airtag

Hey John! I've been trying to find a new job the past couple months, so I'm planning on trying to do shorts every week as a compromise until I can invest in 'full' vids. Anything you think is worth making? Tomorrow will be a Sheldon Brown locking video.

@@batterybikes That's amazing! Honestly, multiple locking techniques would be good. If you had a budget, you could show why bad locking techniques are... you know, bad. I'm super careful about having multiple locks, making sure it's a high visibility area, ideally w/ a camera on it, etc., in case it's stolen. Sheldon Brown's technique is classic, but it leaves it open for thieves to steal other parts of the bike. "Two is one, and one is none" is a good expression that applies to bike locks in my opinion.
Also, while I'm nervous to put out a video called "here's where you should hide Air Tags", I think that'd be helpful on HOW to hide them (mine took a bunch of trial and error from location, materials, and adhesives). Same with the Invoxia - it fit surprisingly well on my bike, but it needs to be secure enough where a thief can't just rip it off. Again, trial and error for me, but I figured it out. It involved 3M VHB tape, Silicone caulk, Flex Seal tape, and a waterproof charging cover port plug thingy. It's pretty much permanently installed on the bike now, and needs to be charged while on said bike.
Hmmmm... I'll try and think of something more! Love that you're doing shorts. And good luck in the job search!

Honestly with all the protection you need to get these days for having a bike, It is not even worth it having one. We live in a third world country.

Buy a Hiplok D1000 or a Litelok X1 or X3 . They are angle grinder resistant. We'll worth the £250 if your bike is expensive or essential to your job.

But then they just grind through whatever it's attached to... I've heard it happen . (Although, then it would permanently have a hiplock attached to it, lmao

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully those are the last ones that get stolen. Next time gotta factor in $30/$100 into the real price of ownership

Airtags are useless they notify the thief that they are being maliciously tracked if they have a I phone

If you hid it well enough. The thief will go crazy trying to find it and realize it’s not worth the effort to keep. Just remove the beeper from the device itself. If anything it alerting the thief gives them even more cause to dump the bike
