Yeah, looking to get back in, but having to keep track of 40k rules is enough, I'm not going to do that for 2 games. Reset or update a core book and I'm game. Not until then.
I don't want a whole new edition, I want the FAQs incorporated into the current rules in a new rulebook. I want a High Elves vs Goblins box set, in a mini homage to the old Warhammer Fantasy box.
January is a year anniversary of my first tournament (Black Orcs from the starter box 1W-1D-4L and a lot of friendly handholding!). The scene is so great and I'm so happy with how much my painting skills have improved!
Incorporate the FAQ's, and revamp some of the first teams to come out. I wouldnt mind seeing a dwarf team with linemen with brawler instead of block and cheaper
The cycle is usually four years per edition. Can’t see them adding TOL as there will still be the fanfare when they are added. I’m hoping for minimum a rewrite of the rule book as the errata is too long and a nerf/tweek of the dwarf team.
Thank you Bonehead Podcast & crew for a great year! Was interesting hearing your goals & wishes for 2025 🎉 2024 sucked for me personally on many levels. In Feb my mum went into hospital & in March was diagnosed with terminal leukaemia & I became her full time carer as there's no other family. That means zero hobby time due to mums chemo, hospital stays/appts, blood transfusions, platelets, specialists, doctors, wheelchairs, oxygen machines the list goes on and on. I have BB teams & paint, everything I need except the time to paint them. Mums time is running out too but she still managed to surprise me with a Xmas hobby gift. Anyway my mind wanders at times with BB ideas. Thanks again guys for keeping my BB interest up and inspiring me. Best wishes to you all; it's my wish to complete something hobby related by the end of 2025.
Looking at how MESBG works, I’d expect something similar: an updated rule book and separate book with all the star players and fun rules, maybe even the teams, making us pay twice to have everything we need to play. Perhaps a new box with the rules and get you by paper rules for the included teams
Happy NY to all the bonehead crew. And thanks for all your videos this year!!! I want a updated rulebook with all FAQs and a box set with updated orks vs humans this year 🤞
How would people feel about having slightly bigger player rosters but you don't have to select all of them for a match regarding TV? To give a goblin example, it's almost pointless selecting a Fanatic against Dwarves as they'll be knocked down almost immediately whereas a Bomma would be much more useful.
If they do a New edition which should change the Prayers to Nuffle to a d8. Change the Cards to 50k Not worth 100k. Tomb Kings would be good to have a team and One more Chaos Team.
I honestly feel that the only downside of Blood Bowl as it stands is the competitive nature of the game as with most PvP. The most fun I have in Blood Bowl is when completely random, unexpected crap happens that throws off both players. The vibe is killed once some coach finds a way to game the system and break it to be almost unbeatable and is there to only win (cough stalling cough) The addition of throwing in a random element to any game that'd landsliding would up the stakes and make things fun again
Fix goblins, de-nerf weak skills like throw team mate. And have factions with team rules. Eg. High Elves - Caledor blitzers have strength skill access as primary. Averlorn if has less than 8 players on field get a free wizard... Etc...
Give us a Death Zone-esque book that covers rules for everything in AOS or Old World. Bring out some open hand and ball holding conversion pieces with guides on how to use every troop type and monster. At least ones that could work on the pitch :) Boom! And rules for events that stay on the pitch, either spells that create permanent craters or kick off events (say for instance the Lizardmen one where those terrodactal things drop rocks on players...) keep those rocks on the pitch for the rest of the game! :)
Nice ep! Ben, did the Black Gobbo stats and Gingerbread House Village, Warhammer+ Battle report pass u by? Keen to see what you thought! My hope for 2025 is at the very least some transparency on whats coming up. At the end of 2023 they did a year in review article and 2024 looked pretty hopeful. This time we didnt even get a Nov FAQ but hopefully something big is coming. I also wonder how tied they are to Blood Bowl 3 as far as branding and style guides, BB3 is sooooo behind, can they not move forward because they need to, to some extent, stay brand loyal to the video game till it's milked a little more? Anyway.... keep the videos comin! Have a goodun sirs!
Ben's so right on star players. There's three who game define, maybe five more who make an impact, and the rest are trash. But they're beautiful minis with often beautiful lore, and they're sat on my shelf and not my pitch. I play lizards and my fav star player is dribl and drul. Unless it's a meme, I'm not bringing them. It's a shame. And then when you look at anqi zolcath boa glotl et Al... There's not enough merit to bring them.
Do we need a new version? Feels like a waste of time to me, given the whole gimmick of BB is the rule set has barely changed since the 90s. A new box with an incorporated F&Q rule set would be lovely. That would allow them to do two teams like High Elves v Slann. One traditional one left field. Ultimately I'm delighted with what GW have done with BB over the last few years. We are beneficiaries of GW wanting their IP/branding in every bit of the market space/hobby shelving. Not saying BB is a loss leader, but it gets far more attention than we probably should expect. Long may that continue!
Make wizards free or very cheap but pay for spells so if you buy 2 or 3 spells you can use 2 or 3 thought out the match rather than 1 shot wizards some cheap but poor spells some solid but expensive
My hope is a new game and please fix the animal savagery/ unchannelled fury cheat (though legal) of declaring a blitz so that the Rogre can move on a 2+ (it’s just a pet peeve).
If we can't have a whole new edition. At the least a new rulebook with all the faq corrections and aditions included

slaanesh vs Tzeentch
slaanesh vs high elves
or
high elf vs khemri
but yes just a rules tweak /update to FAQs edition, some player/spp price changes
@@3ggh3ad HE v Khemri would be acceptable. Forget Slaanesh.
@briangoss8062 though a high elf vs night goblin ( squig) team would be neat
Only problem w khemri is they're not a good starter team
@@3ggh3ad Same with all configurations of goblins really. High Elves v Skaven?

Thanks for 2024. Can't wait for more Blood Bowl in 2025. Fingers crossed for a new edition!

GW needs to embrace Slann. ❤️🐸
Frogman team please:)
This seems like a leap.
Thank you guys for your awesome work in 2024. Keep it up 🙌

A sisters of sigmar team, either official or a 3rd party imp nobility proxy would be rad
2 teams a year is pretty reasonable

Squigz squigz squigz squigz squigz
9:15 I also have that old White Dwarf sitting nearby, and yes, that Necromunda release was amazing!
Happy New Year to the Bonehead Podcast crew from Brisbane Australia 🎉
On pitch Spellcaster would be awesome
The Gnomes laugh in Trickster!

26:40 the Dryad team can be really really easily made from a box of dryads.
I agree to the little extras to the Blood Bowl game. On and Off the field but all compliments the game.
Blood Bowl needs an updated Rulebook like they did for Necromunda

Sorry for the spam 😅
How about allowing Dungeon Bowl Teams to play against all the teams from the main game?
So Anqi Panqi will come out when the almanac comes out?
I just want Kislev.
I prefer the frogs over the "acrobats"...
6th of September my Brighton tournament!
Great episode, some interesting predictions & philosophical takeaways! Best wishes for 2025
I like the do more by doing less thing. Agile working in short sprints to achieve small goals

Iv been very lucky and iv got a copy of the new almanac
I had that issue of White Dwarf
Make wizards free or very cheap but pay for spells so if you buy 2 or 3 spells you can use 2 or 3 thought out the match rather than 1 shot wizards some cheap but poor spells some solid but expensive
I hope something like this will be incorporated when they get around to doing a Favoured of Tzeentch team.
+1 passing for all throws
I hope the High Elf team is coming.
My hope is a new game and please fix the animal savagery/ unchannelled fury cheat (though legal) of declaring a blitz so that the Rogre can move on a 2+ (it’s just a pet peeve).
And maybe improve passing for elves who are naturally skilled to 3+ for most elves (except maybe witch elf at 4+)
I don't mind the 2+ move for a rogre. If you want to waste the blitz to move a rogre I'm not getting hit.
Do Less, Better.
