I Removed the restrictor in the exhaust and now i can pop pretty nice wheelies with it and it,s alot more strong and it sounds better too. I relly rekomend this mod. 👌😃
i speedtested my old one it was an 07 pretty much stock i hit 48mph and that was with the limiter on. it was a great little bike and im looking at another 05 right now. i miss the other pw so time to get back into them
The exhaust restrictor was in every year back to 1983. There is a noticeable increase in power taking it out .Too bad it doesn't have a 4 speed. I would leave it in for any small beginner. This bike, with the restrictor out and drilled air box ,and ridden fast can be dangerous on or off road . It is not for adult beginners either. I let a young woman try and ride mine and she wiped out hard. The front end washes out easy because of the small wheels, cheap tires, and the sensitive brakes.Best Indy 500 and Red Bud MX spectator/ pit bike made ,when that was allowed. With no clutch ,you could drink beer and ride/ spectate at the same time.It fit in the trunk of a big car too.Still got my 83.Traded a $100.00 car stereo for it in 84.Still runs and stops little rusty
Dude seriously wtf are you doing if your gonna make a video of a bike that you want to help others on be serious about it and put you mind into it quit pausing your sentences from looking at other shit damn the dislike button works
@@michaelangelod5008 Your supposed to remove the entire oil pump assembly, then install an oil injection block off plug when disabling it. A.k.a. safe disable.

Pilot jet likely too rich
Check your reed valves that’s what causes that dude
You may have an air leak or too big main jet im a lil late tho🤣

I think only the 2005 and up models have the restrictions in the exhaust.
for informational purposes they started installing restrictions in the early 90s

sherman pup what do you mean by drilled air box
also on 2 strokes you should not heavily mod the exhaust except to put another pipe on because they need back compression
That's what expansion pipes are for, they cycle the unused fuel/air, back in compensating for that lost compression
@@dereynolds01 you literally just reiterated what the guy above you said.
@@robspear03OP is dumb asf, in a 2 stroke modifying the pipe is one of the most effective ways to get more power

I deleted the oil injection and I run it 50 to 1 and she runs great.
Why remove the oil pump. Its not critical to the bike
@Luke Woodland premix.
However, I wouldn't remove the pump.
My PW is having trouble hitting powerband unless i ease into it,it will just cut out likes its not getting enough gas
Mine too
Carb clean
I have the same problem. Do you think it could be the float height.

Hey can anyone help I'm cleaning one right now a carb for the pw80 but I can't work were the vacuum hose goes to from the carb any ideas
Did you find it?
run 40:1 oil
It has an injector on it, so you'd have to disable it first so it could run on that
+Donovan Reynolds all you have too do is unplug it from little plastic tank oil injectors are trash too use
It runs on 32:1
