I have taken Astaxanhtin taken for 17 years and i have seen only positive things. Its a strong antioxidant. If i slept not well i would take 8mg with my meal and feel refreshed. Muscle pain it reduces too and never affected my workout negatively. I never used a sunscreen at 40 and people think im 23 to 27 and look younger than my siblings, so it can't be just genes, and i have not a great diet . Its best combined with omega 3 fish oil for synergy

@padmeshsethuraman5617 I took small dose 1mg but in the last 5 years I took 4mg 8mg I would not recommend more than that long term . Occasionally took short term 12mg when I feel aches and slept not well or just felt not right. It works best with omega 3 fish oil 1000mg .
If you add Long Vida Turmeric around 400 to 500mg even more potent the effect for muscle aching especially. The combo or on its own its one supplement I recommend.
I started anti aging supplements around the age of 20 and my diet was never perfect nor was fit at gym always ..I just avoided alcohol and smoking and snacks . I ate usually once or twice a day rarely 3.

I’m 63yo and just recently as of about 4 months started to notice my libido disappearing and morning wood non-existent. I stumbled onto this vid due to splash page “live longer but reduce your sex drive”. I have never heard of Astaxanthin before watching this video.
About me: I lift weights 6 day a week after working as a boilermaker\welder. My diet is predominantly beef or lamb with a little fruit. I am in excellent condition for my age. I also do semen retention but I have always had a problem with hair loss especially if I lift weights. Now since whatever happened to me 4 months ago, my hair has stopped falling and done the reverse and growing at a rate it used to when I was a kid. I’m still very
strong at the gym which to say my performance there hasn’t changed. I wish I knew what was going on as my testicles are smaller than they usually are. The only thing I think I can put it down to is recently the Australian govt has allowed/forced some dairy companies to put Borvae into cattle feed to stop them producing methane. This is turn goes into the meat and milk which we consume. According to an FDA document, this compound’s side effects are sterility and cancer. Now I’m worried as the only source of milk was in my takeout coffee in the mornings.

Sorry/not sorry gents, I may have blown this up a bit thinking the worst case scenario. I found I have varicocele in the left testicle which is the cause of blood flow interruptions to them. Although its good to know but if let unchecked will cause the testes to shrink and possibly worst case scenario. There are plenty of videos on YT that explains the cause and how to help in naturally.

Is it really necessary to use modified food starch, corn starch, stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, etc? You couldn't make a cleaner product? It's a shame you go through so much effort to make a pure astaxanthin only to then mix it with impure ingredients. Kind of defeats the purpose.

. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, Liu et al (46) examined a test formulation consisting of astaxanthin (12 mg), tocotrienol (10 mg) and zinc (6 mg) on building strength, endurance and mobility in exercise training among the elderly. A total of 42 elderly subjects (aged 65-85 years) were recruited, fed with test formulation or placebo for 4 months and trained with increasing intervals of incline walking for three months (three times weekly for 40-60 min). In this study, muscle strength was presented as maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) in an ankle dorsiflexion exercise, and the tibialis anterior muscle size was measured as cross-sectional area (CSA) using magnetic resonance imaging. The authors identified a greater endurance in a 6-min walk upon exercise training in both experimental groups. The subjects administered astaxanthin formulation had higher MVC and CSA, indicating improved muscle strength and size as compared to the placebo-treated exercised subjects (46).

This guy is dishonest. He flips a legitimate question about blunting internal response to oxidation (hormesis) and blabs about salmon.
10:00 NO! Professional sportmen take antioxidants, cold plunge, etc. when they want to recover during several days of sports events. But at the same time they don't grow their strength/endurance/VO2max capacity. This happens during off-season and requires cutting oxidants, cold plunges, etc.
13:00 did they measure VO2max change or any endurance capacity? Of course astaxanthin will reduce CRP. This is not what we are talking about.
