That's a creative mounting solution for the speed reducer. I have the parts to build mine and was planning on just doing the tabletop setup, but after seeing yours I'll have to rethink my plan. That's not even why I clicked the video, I was just researching the 111g156, as one came up for sale near me. I already have a 211 w/reverse that I put a servo on, but I've always heard good things about the 111g so I thought I'd watch some videos. Seems like a pretty sweet machine
Thanks for watching. The 111g156 is a great machine but the only thing I wish it had a little longer stitch length. Your 211 can be set longer I believe.
Nice machine. I have 9 industrial sewing machines, all have servos of different manufactures. None of them make any noise. I had one servo motor that made the same electrical growling noise, not as loud. The company sent me a new motor didn't even want the old one in return. Matter of fact I have that bad servo motor in a video I made "difference between a brushless and a brushed type servo motor".
I have my eye on one of these in my area ,they are asking 650 but I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I also looking at a REX 607 non zigzag tho for 300
Where is the lonely dog howl coming from; I don't like gratuitous noise. I have not done one in a while, but the last servo motor I had was quiet. Our Brother DB2 has a massive servo-type motor-quiet 'till you put a boot to it. I run a JUKI for most heavier work, a couple of Consews before that, but I picked up 111W in a similar condition I will probably prepare to sell to someone just starting out. That 'easy step-down appears handy for heavy leather work. Thanks for posting. Cheers. Jim

I'm curious about your belt configuration between the machine head and reducer block pulley. The belt teeth are facing out, i.e. towards you. Why did you do that? Most pulley belts for this purpose have a pitch. Because the exterior of the belt and interior have different widths, the reluting angle is the pitch. Have you have placed the exterior (in this case flat) of the belt in the "v" of the sleeve groves? That would make for inefficient energy transfer, possible belt flipping at speed, and may contribute to the noise we hear when you're sewing here. Try turning the belt inside out so that the teeth are engaging the "v" grooves.
It's actually just an automotive fan belt I had kicking around and it is on the right way with the tapered V in the V of the pulleys. There are a couple of companies that make belts with those notches on the outside. I think it's just a gimmick but something about flexing and cooling. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. The servo motor bolts up pretty much where the old motor was and as for the speed reducer I'm not sure where there's much information. But if you make your own I would just go to a hardware or farm supply shop and they should be able to set you up with the pillow blocks, belts and pulleys that you'll need.
Yes it was informative, i didn't know what a servo motor was but i kept hearing about it, so now i know, basically thats the part that ups or downs the speed desired i think, Terry is it one company that makes the servo motor or several?

I would like to use your idea for one of my machines. Could you supply a list of the part numbers for the pulleys and pillow block bearing and the supplier that you acquired them from please.
I like hoe people want to these videos on their sewing machines and then they have to look to see what model it is, take the time and do your research. This video was pity full.

How thick can it sew?
1/4” is all I’ve tried. Seemed fine with that.

The foot won’t lift that high. Maybe 3/8 max I would say. Sounds like you need a harness stitcher.
