75% of qualified candidates are rejected due to the limitations of this system, by their own admission. As a small business owner I would be horrified to find out that this was happening in my own hiring process.
@@pearlbaez4947 If you use any other font than arial = rejection If you use any kind of alignment other than left = rejection If you use any kind of columns = rejection If you use any kind of special signs such as %, &, # = rejection These systems are REALLY stupid, to the point where you might as well write line by line and only use CAPS, bold and bulletlists for formatting.
Thank you! That is really helpful and super duper kind of you to let me know! I found a job already thankfully but I'll definitely use that knowledge in search of a second job! Bless youuu~
@@pearlbaez4947 Jabberdau This isn't true. Fonts have nothing to do with an ATS or parsing software rejecting a resume. These systems are really clever- they utilise machine learning- and are evolving all the time. Elaborate resume templates are a no-no but the most common limitations are a candidate not adequately expressing how they meet the criteria of a role. The things that these software struggle with are typically the things that would piss off a recruiter looking at 200 resumes a day. The biggest Myth in resume writing is that you can stand out by using anything other than your ability to express you're compatability with a role. Also both PDF (as long as not a pic) and Word are fine. This video is literally a joke.
Softwares like these should be illegal. If you want to hire someone, you have an obligation to read all candidates' resumes, be that 100, or 1000. Especially if it takes weeks or more for that position to be filed, there is no reason you cannot view/read all that resumes, and surely it's not done by 1 person.
Oh! My god! I have used canva to make my resume with colour, and I have transfered into PDF, then I have used different key words from JD, last, my font is also wrong . Absolutely, ATS has deleted mine again and again. I ever thought my Canva Resume is so special that would be noticed first. Totally wrong. 😨 Thank you for your great video. I will revise.
Best tip add key words from job description in end space on your cv and change font to white so the key words cannot be seen by human eye but can be detected ATS
I'm convinced these awful machines are what's causing great candidates to fall through the cracks & result in less than stellar hiring practices,I have a great resume, apply to jobs that match my credentials, use ats friendly keywords, double check for errors before I click submit, yet these past two months has been nothing but rejection emails.I'm 100% qualified for the jobs I apply for,i seriously doubt my resume was even glanced at by human eyes before the "machine" deemed it unworthy. These ats robots are demon mechanics at work & have in my opinion 100% absolutely ruined the job market for so many worthy & qualified candidates.I have no choice now but to pay big bucks for a professional resume writer just to be able to get my resume accepted by a fucking robot, insanity!
They work only in US so useless ... also a good developer will always send PDF format, because Linux/Unix has no Word format , so this is just a joke information ... see how many people use Mac (from Apple) and most of the good ones Linux ...

Yep! Many times the candidate is qualified but rejected due to the limitations of the ATS.
What do you guys mean by limitations? Please explain to me, so I can be prepared before I submit my resume to like 50 different places

I BEG TO DIFFER. RÉSUMÉS SHOULD BE SENT AS A PDF.
Either is fine. It doesn't matter as long as the PDF has not been generated using a picture.

If all these stats that are presented here are true, then people hiring are even more stupid then i thought.
LOL, agree

now its changed to detect this and will boot your resume for trying to do this.
I believe your first chart is erroneously labeled. It currently shows 95% of large companies *not* using an ATS. Switch the color blocks in the key.
My mother's been doing every one of these steps, yet she keeps getting rejected. She's been applying for new jobs for almost a year now
ohman. I hope she found a job by now.
Once Check 0:34
Blue is given 95% in text but shown only 5% in pie diagram
Exactly the info i was looking for! Thanks!
does ATS convert PDF to word before screening?
This was truly great thank you!
Instead of Microsoft Word, can we use PDF format?
It's hard to take this video seriously if the diagram for ATS usage in a large company doesn't is diagramed wrong.
Why does it say (2019) but the video is from 2016?

Damn that music is so annoying
Show a good resume
Always 1 smartass on every site... congratulations you are the 1
Utterly insane.
Kalau di indonesia disuruhnya ngirim format pdf 😁😁
Workday ATS is complete trash. absolutely terrible
