Hi There! If you let me know your specific job, perhaps I can give you some tips to make it appear more exciting on your resume. You can also highlight some of the greatest, different skills you learned in each job. Together, all that experience can show you're extremely knowledgeable about that job. If you let me know, I'll do my best to help you!!
Hey there! I can help you with that. There are different answers depending on whether you have NO experience or SOME experience. Can you do me a favor and let me know: 1) if you have no work experience and, if so, which field/job you'd like to enter (I'll tell you what to put on your resume if I know what you want to do) 2) if you have some work experience, and if so, which jobs have you held and which field you'd like to enter (that will help me understand and cite how to apply what you'd do to what you want Hope to hear from you soon!!!
Andy, I studied your videos and watched them throughout the whole job-searching journey. I did everything you said, followed all the steps and I landed a job way better than I was even aiming for. My salary jumped 16k because of you. Literally. It sounds unbelievable and I still can't believe it myself but thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can afford childcare for my 2 kids now and can afford to buy a house. You've changed my life. Thank you
Andrew, I've been out of work for almost a year. I've rewritten my resume 3 times with no success. Last week I watched your resume building webinar and immediately reworked my resume and uploaded it on a job site and applied for jobs. Before I did anything else, someone saw my resume ( I hadn't applied to this company), emailed me for an interview and by the end of the week I was hired! Thank you.
Hi Andrew. Is there any app out there on the Google play store that I can upload my 2 page cv and have it scanned to remove the rubbish. Love the videos. Sean, Dublin Ireland
Because people don't understand how many apply. I was Editor-in-Chief at a games media company and when we were searching for an editor, we got 10.000 applications per week. It was nuts. We've ended up hiring an HR agency because our two HR people and me were not able to handle all the applications to find the right editor within 2 months. By now we've automated a lot with filter systems even though you always run the risk of filtering out someone great.
It's kind of disconcerting knowing how much company names matter more than titles, because I only worked at a bunch of non-descript places. Some with mediocre reputations.
I want to give everyone a piece of information based on my personal experience. I recently used Andy's resume format and it landed me an interview in state government. His interview preparation tips got me to the second round of interviews.
Thank you! I spent two hours making the changes you recommended on my cover letter and resume. I had tried to get an interview with this company several times. This time, I submitted it and within hours I got an email for a video interview. Great Video!
Santos, recently got laid-off after 26 years with the same company and have not looked for a job in the last 35 years and having a hard time landing a job, so these short videos have been very helpfull.
I've never made a resume before , because I've always worked by recommendation of people who have seen me work. Now I need to make one , that's why I'm watching 👍
thank you so much for this video......mpho from Botswana Africa, i give back to my community by helping new graduates with job applications and your videos have helped so much......to keep me current....thank you so much
Hi Andrew, I have been looking for a job for 6 months now but no success and I think with your video I just found the solution for my problem. Thank you so much
I used to work for HR for the state and part of my job was to look at resumes. I’ve seen resumes with font size 18 or one with alot of short term jobs (one of them lasting 1 day) and passed on those. It is true we only spend a few seconds on your resume. We quickly eye the experience then education.
I really like your videos, not just what you are talking about, but also the video itself. Good quality image and sound, no annoying introductions and animations, straight to the point. Great job, keep going that way!
Wanderlei Grando! First of all, thank you so much for watching the video and taking the time to comment. Thanks too for the kind words. I'm always looking for feedback regarding what resonates with people, how they like to learn, and, of course, what they find annoying! It's nice to hear you like the simplicity of the videos. I try to keep the fun, quick, education, and a bit entertaining. I hope you keep watching. Have a great weekend!
Omgosh thank you do much! I've been struggling for about a year to write a reseme and it's almost nightmarish. It helps me to shed some light on what I'm wrighting, and what I'm writing to and for.
Thanks Andy ! For all that you do . I applied as a Teacher Assistant position originally. I started to fuss 😮because I was low balled my salary . I left am email to the principal , HR and compensation department. Finally my principal got in touch with me via email and ask me to call her . Once I called her she ask if I can email her a copy of my resume. I did! I just thought that I would get another offer letter with an 😮the original salary that I askask for.. Instead I got an invitation to apply for another position at the same school making 50% more than what I originally asked for. I applied and they immediately offer me the change of position without a interview I am nervous, but I am very happy also with all of your help and your tips!
Been looking since June 2019 for a new position and nothing. After 20 years was downsized. Just found your videos, very useful, made some changes to my Linkedin and resume. Hopefully the new position is near. BTW way Ageism is a thing, Thank you. John Cyna
Hi Mr Andrew, back in 2018 , I took your advices and secured 3 jobs in 3 months. And since then, I am working in a large public organization. Regards Your fan from Pakistan 👍🏻
Hi Andrew, thank you very much for the insightful videos. I recently constructed my CV based on the guidelines you gave. I've gotten 3 job interviews with offers out of 5 applications. Thank you again, keep up the great work.
Hey i got job. I followed the steps you said. Since I don't have computer i used " Intelligent CV" resume app in my mobile to create my resume and applied your steps.. both done magic for me. Now i got job. 👍
Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to find a good job so I can keep my house and not live on the street. Super hard to find anything as a high school drop out. Your input is so appreciated...
Hi Andrew-I've been out of work for a long time and cannot get a single interview despite having two masters and constantly reworking my resume including your tips in this video. I can really use your help.
Hey Kevin, check out my free webinar how to find a job you love and also see my live office hours session on why your job search is taking so long! You can access the webinar from milewalkacademy.com.
thank you for advice I recently applied for a position and based on your videos I revamped my resume and CV and I have an interview set up!!! Honestly it took me forever to be able to re-create my resume and CV but it was worth every minute! thanks for your guidance! you rock!
Hi Andrew! This is the 1st video I have watched. There are 3 questions I have right now: 1. What if a person has more than 10 years of experience and, let's say, 5 to 6 companies he/she has worked in? How to fit them into 2 pages along with some position description and achievements, education and trainings? 2. You say the list of (generic) skills shouldn't be there. Great, then how would I make my resume match the keywords of the job announcements containing those generic or specific skills to be matched to win the ATS? 3. You said the recruiters look for powerful companies in an applicant's resume. What about hundres of thousands of skilled immigrant professionals who moved to US, having worked in great and pretty powerful companies in their countries, about which an average American recruiter has never ever heard? What to do in such cases? No chance for immigrants to get good jobs? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hi Liana, thanks for watching and thanks for your question! 1) It's okay to reduce the amount of information you provide on the earlier jobs. Still list them. Just condense the amount of information. 2) If you want to include generic terms (leadership, communication, etc.), don't list them. Sprinkle them throughout your resume and JUSTIFY them. Also, many people in my community recommend jobscan.co to check you resume match with job descriptions. Lastly, if you haven't already seen it, check out my video on how to build the ultimate professional resume!
Ooops. I just saw you had a number 3. I didn't use the word powerful to describe the companies. I mentioned good companies. Companies don't need to be household names to be great. There are loads of wonderful smaller companies too. For people who've worked outside the US, it's important to provide the brief description under the company name to explain what it is. Watch How to build the ultimate professional resume and you'll see what I mean!
Hi Andrew, Thanks for your replies. One more clarification here - I personally use jobscan.com to check my resume and cover letter match with the job descriptions I am interested in. One of the key parameters there, along with the keywords, is the word count, so adding information about companies might decrease the number of useful words that would better describe me, my capabilities and achievements.. Would appreciate your opinion on ATS (have gone through many of your videos, but haven't found anything on the so far), words count, and my reasoning on this comment. Thanks in advance.
Andy is right. It just takes 6 seconds for an employer to either qualify or disqualify you for a job. A useful tool that I use to make eye-catching CVs is Canva. Highly recommended. Would also just add to make sure you use correct spelling, grammar and spacing and check multiple times. How you write on your CV says a lot about you, and how good or bad you would be as potential employee. You don’t want potential employers to think you are unprofessional.
Great video. I am in the job market now and have 7 years of higher education management and business management, customer service experience for about 15 years and still having difficulty finding a job. The “ over qualified “ statement is so frustrating. Your video is a big help in rebuilding my resume.
Thank you, I realize that I am on the right track with my content in a 60-second ,but I don't like the format on my resume. My profile summary is evidence-based including my accomplishments that matches the job description. my main concern is narrowing down these jobs accomplishments for the jobs I held related to the new jobs.
Hey SweetCakes! Great to hear that. There are two parts to what you need. The resume itself: Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/RKM_LZ0ujX8/v-deo.html. You can also check out my free webinar regarding the 3 secrets to get your resume noticed: app.webinarjam.net/register/26620/efd7a64b75. For how to optimize the messaging related to your accomplishments: ua-cam.com/video/8g6PPucLsFY/v-deo.html For how to punch up the capabilities and then map them over, check out my Live Office Hours I did a week or so ago called How to Change Careers Successfully. I go into detail regarding mapping your capabilities to the new career or job (where you might not have the specific hard skills). You can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/W0Ytkc5GM08/v-deo.html. I would be diligent in looking at the potential job descriptions and trying to map the capabilities. You could also check out jobscan.co. You can also see a bunch more live office hours sessions in the Past Live Streams Section of my UA-cam channel. Of course, there are also tons of other videos on my channel that will help as well. Hope that helps!
Tay, I love it. Thank you so much for engaging in my work. Thanks too for letting me know. You have no idea how nice it is to hear people are engaging. It's what keeps us teachers and trainers going. If we think people aren't listening, it's hard to stay motivated. LOL. Have a Happy New Year!
No problem. I also shared your video with a few of my friends and registered for you webinar. I've looked at tons of these video's on here and you're the only one mentioned since I'm in college I need to be doing a different résumé. I had no clue.
The format works if and only if, you can get past ATS to a human reader. These days, the ATS will flatly put this resume format in "reject" category within a second.
Andrew, thanks to your UA-cam videos I wrote an ultimate resume, got noticed, had the interview and just got hired with a significant raise one step above my current title. You’re an excellent teacher and mentor. I’ve learned so much from your success. Thank you so much! God bless.
Thank you for shedding light on the common mistakes teachers make when seeking jobs outside of education. It's crucial to understand these pitfalls to make a successful transition. Excellent advice!
Great video. I'm stuck, I have a lot of great skills but a few temporary assignments nothing long term on my resume I know that doesn't look so great any advice?
welcome to real life, short contracts so they can dump you whenever they decide and even if it is leading role to perm they will put you on prob and also they can dumb you in meantime when they want and all perm jobs are all through connections and they are all looking specific things which nobody has. I had last year 30 job interviews and I hardly got job on short contract.
If they ask you why the shaky job life, respond that this was temp assignments to keep me a float which also builds skills which led me to this opportunity that I am interviewing for. My own opinion. I wonder what Andrew says to that.
Understanding competitors is a great way to find more relevant candidates. They are trained and equipped with the right finesse you are already lookimg for. You don't need to waste time posting up spammy job ads as agencies ALWAYS do and reading through each applicant's resume, who cares if it's 7 seconds or less
Aaron C hey Aaron, that is an especially great point. When we recruiter, we look outward into the world to target people and competitors is one of the first places we look!
im new subscribers sir.. i follow all you're advice for applying on canada as non-skilled workers specially you're cover letter.. good luck to me i feel im now hired.. tnx sir im now fully confident..
Do you think it is important to have city/state for each employer listed on the resume? Assuming there will be a formal application to fill out if you are selected for the position which would contain that info for background check purposes. And do companies really contact former employers anymore? They are not permitted to say anything really except their job title and dates of employment.
I went in for an interview and the hiring manager primarily focused on my dates. It really was just ridiculous. He asked me over and over about them and calling my employers. That's what the numbers are there for right? I always hope they call them. They will get an earful about how great I am. Lol I'm jk.
Hi Andrew, just wanted to say thank you for the (very) insightful video and tips. Following these steps makes perfect sense but i would not have come up with them on my own. I look forward to reviewing more of your videos (before i start rewriting my resume). Very good stuff! Thanks again
I appreciate your ability to communicate good and comprehensive information for an effective resume in five minutes. Five to six seconds. Reminds me of the stat that indicates we sensorily assess someone who we have just met in four seconds and form an opinion, if but merely positive or negative. Thank you, Andrew La C.
Thanks for the nice words!!! :)And glad I could help! Make sure to stop by later today, tomorrow, and Friday. I'm live for three days in a row on my UA-cam channel and you can get some nice lessons and ask me anything!
Thanks, Andrew. Having written (and rewritten) my resume over the years, I've noticed that today it's vital to be more deliberate. Several years ago, because of the economy, underemployment was rampant. Today, it seems to me, those who were underemployed are currently looking to find the better job, which makes the employment picture just as competitive as it was several years ago. Your tips about getting noticed are very helpful.
I would say my biggest issue/concern is the balance between using the relationship I already have and not assuming my employer/manager already knows everything I do. I feel like it is fine line to walk sometimes, but I typically still default to explaining more than I typically would. Also resumes are a little tricky... should they look different than what an external candidate would submit? How should a cover letter look for me as an internal candidate? I have head of listing job accomplishment on resumes instead of job duties for internal resumes... Ex. Selected to chair “x” committee for the department from ‘17-‘18... Anyway, I have enjoyed watching your videos and though your take on internal advancement and your take on different nuances you think are most important. Thanks for replying! I look forward to all your future videos. The more we learn, the better prepared we will be to take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves!
@Andrew Lacivita I laughed so loud when you mentioned your salmon shirt! I was completely being a bah humbug the entire morning and the moment that I watched your video or should I say saw your video for the 1st 10 seconds it brightened my day! I hope you are fabulous in person as well as you are to work with! Many times I skip and end videos like this in about six seconds the same amount of time it takes you to look at a resume. In all seriousness, I appreciate individuals who take the time to educate others on how they can present themselves in the best manner. I've work in the same two industries for about 20 years and resumes are still my weak point. I have done so many things in my life and I have been proud of so many things equally that it's hard for me to boil it down and when did the ADD kicks in I tend to go rambling on. In order to be concise and clear I have had to ask friends to help me. This video is really awesome. It is organized, clear, concise and has good content.
@@andylacivita I'm glad because I genuinely meant it. You got straight to the point and laid it out. Your vibe is amazing although I can tell you DEFINITELY are a bit spicy lol. Anyway. Sometimes we forget how special we are or ya know 5 million other generic words lol..so it's nice to be reminded. I hope you remember that! I have a question. I am looking for a job right now and am transitioning from one career to another..but with many of the same skill sets I used in the past. I am having a hard time making a headline in terms of how I WILL be an asset. Do you have an email where strangers can reach you lol? I just need some pointers as to summing it all up so it isn't as long as this here message. I'm sure you'd get very angry if you saw my resume..so I want to take your advice. ❤
Thank you Andy! I have a problem to list appropriately my accomplishments, might be sounds stupid, but it is matter of correct formulation and focusing on main things. If I can get any advice on that! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm soo tired of editing my resume and seeing the "skill section". Honestly I couldn't make the skills sound any more interesting. Big Thanks this is more precise and to the point.
I showed my resume to five recruiters and asked them for feedback. Each of them had diff layout preferences which is frustrating. It's so subjective. Fortunately, I was able to land a great job w/ my resume as is.
If you recently graduated with a masters from an ivy (let’s say Harvard), then should you put it at the top of your resume? There’s no other unobtrusive way to get Harvard at the top of my resume (unfortunately harvard got rid of alumni email addresses for certain graduating years or I’d do that)
Thank you for this information sir! I am not new to resumes, but I am aware that I need to transition the way its written out before applying to more jobs. I wanted to learn from experts to build myself in this area so I can grow more in job hunting. God bless!
Hi Andrew, Loved the way you explained everything so precisely! I watched the video before working on my CV how I would want my CV to look. Thank you for the clarity
Wow. I'm glad i just came across this. I have redone over and over again my resume and listened to others as well as had others modify it and I shall need to look more in to your other topics. I have many skills that i have had to remove in order to shorten the resume but I will watch your other video and modify it again. Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this info... came across your videos today and i been watching them. Cant wait to be called for an interview... taking your tips
Brittany, great question. Yes. Yes, definitely list those skills. Just list them in sentence format so the ATS can pick the up. Skill 1, skill 2, skill 3 etc.
I recently learned that they prefer summaries. Summaries, as he stated, gives the moment to brag about yourself instead of the objective which tells them what you want.
Hi Andrew, I am a bit surprised why you look at the companies first before the positions. After all, not everyone is going to work for Google or Facebook... You can do great work for less well-known companies.
Rosanne, I look at companies, but the companies only need to be great. They can big small, medium, or large size. I know 10 person companies who are awesome. Recruiters who are looking for talented people in their space know the solid companies!
BARBARA Santos so glad to hear Barbara. Good luck and if you need help with the resume, check out my resume workshop. I have 3 different sessions next week!
Really good information, I really was confused whether to write a "career objective "; now I know!!.... Thank you. But could you please do another video , for someone who doesn't have any work experience, how the format of the resume should be??...
Point 3 got me depressed, been trying to get my career to a better place but you imply my chances are slim because I'm not already a super bowler. I wish to know how I can get my career ahead despite this
Hello Andrew. I left my last job in mid 2017, since then I have been unemployed but in full time study; should I still place my education at the end and have employers see that 2 year gap in my work history right away, or can I leave it at the start where it currently is?
You can move it up top if you'd like Rebecca, but I would keep the education below your career profile. Check my videos on how to build the ultimate professional resume and also the one I released this week on how to handle employment gaps!
Hi Everyone! What do you feel are your biggest issues with getting your resume noticed?

Where did you see his resume?
The mere fact that you have to explain how HR understands the resume reveals how much the system is messed up.
Red, this made me laugh out loud. Yes. You speak the truth!

I just finished my resume and I'm nervous about sending it out. This video gave me some great insights on what to focus on.
Hi Andrew! This is the 1st video I have watched. There are 3 questions I have right now:
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your replies.
Well said
Great video. I am in the job market now and have 7 years of higher education management and business management, customer service experience for about 15 years and still having difficulty finding a job. The “ over qualified “ statement is so frustrating. Your video is a big help in rebuilding my resume.
Hang in there Martha. You should also check out the video on my UA-cam channel regarding how to respond to the "overqualified statement."
Andrew LaCivita thank you. I appreciate it.
Martha Farahat you’re welcome!
Great info. I know you have something interesting to say when you refer to a red shirt as a “hot salmon top”.
lolol
I FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE EXACTLY HOW YOU SAY IT. IF I GET THIS JOB I WILL ACREDIT IT TO YOUR VIDEOS.
Karla Martinez wishing you the best of luck Karla! My fingers are crossed for you!
For how to optimize the messaging related to your accomplishments: ua-cam.com/video/8g6PPucLsFY/v-deo.html
For how to punch up the capabilities and then map them over, check out my Live Office Hours I did a week or so ago called How to Change Careers Successfully.
You're the only UA-camr who I turned on to get notifications from! You're simply awesome and have taught me so much, thank you.
Ravi, Yes the #ATS is brutal. Check out my boss hunting videos on my UA-cam. It's my preferred way to job search.
Andrew, thanks to your UA-cam videos I wrote an ultimate resume, got noticed, had the interview and just got hired with a significant raise one step above my current title. You’re an excellent teacher and mentor. I’ve learned so much from your success. Thank you so much! God bless.
Thank you for great information! Can you give tips for fresh graduate in order to produce good resume.
Hey There, check out my video on this one trick will make your college resume stand out!
This is such a helpful video. I always thought resumes were just all about experience, but now I see how important the layout is too.
Your tips look very useful. I have done all mistakes .. lol
but i will rebuilt it for sure. Thanks for your tips.
Patel Mayur you’re welcome Patel. Lots of luck with this!
im new subscribers sir.. i follow all you're advice for applying on canada as non-skilled workers specially you're cover letter.. good luck to me i feel im now hired.. tnx sir im now fully confident..
Love to hear it!!!
Do you think it is important to have city/state for each employer listed on the resume? Assuming there will be a formal application to fill out if you are selected for the position which would contain that info for background check purposes. And do companies really contact former employers anymore? They are not permitted to say anything really except their job title and dates of employment.
Nichole, I include them, but it's not all that important. It's nice to show if you WANT the locale to be noticed.
I went in for an interview and the hiring manager primarily focused on my dates. It really was just ridiculous. He asked me over and over about them and calling my employers. That's what the numbers are there for right? I always hope they call them. They will get an earful about how great I am. Lol I'm jk.
Thank you Andy! Can't say enough about how much great info is in these videos! You rock!
thank you i appreciate this ive never written a resume.
Glad it helped Jerry and lots of luck with the resume!
Lol i really like the part of ' *The Don'ts* ' it helped me a lot thank you :) You're amazing and awesome!!!
Thanks Arona!
great tips .. Thank you. I will check out your videos
Glad you like them!
Hi Andrew, just wanted to say thank you for the (very) insightful video and tips. Following these steps makes perfect sense but i would not have come up with them on my own. I look forward to reviewing more of your videos (before i start rewriting my resume). Very good stuff! Thanks again
You're welcome Darren!
Steve, thanks for the kind words and glad my material is helping you!
I would really enjoy a series of videos on applying, interviewing, and negotiating for internal job advancement.
Wonderful to hear this. We have some coming and are always looking for great ideas and issues you might be having.
The moral of the story is only 1 person will be chosen for said job and the 1000s left to scramble.
Angelina! This brightened MY DAY too!
Maybe show a sample. Would help alot.
Dougie, check out my video on how to build the ultimate professional resume. You get an entire template with instructions too.
Andrew, Thank you.
Watch some of his additional videos
Thank you so much from Thailand.❤
You are very welcome!
This was amazing!!! Thank you so much
intisar wilson glad you liked it!!
Thank you Andy!
I have a problem to list appropriately my accomplishments, might be sounds stupid, but it is matter of correct formulation and focusing on main things. If I can get any advice on that! Thank you!
If a resume is two pages, should it be printed as two pages or is a front and back format acceptable?
Make them separate pages do the interviewer can take notes more easily.
Two pages, numbered at the top, and paperclip them together. Do NOT staple your resume!
Thank you so much! I'm soo tired of editing my resume and seeing the "skill section". Honestly I couldn't make the skills sound any more interesting. Big Thanks this is more precise and to the point.
I am a college student, do you suggest including a GPA?
Only if it's super high Baker!
Wow, I had it all wrong, I'll let you know when I get an interview. Thank you for the advice
habitant71 you're welcome. Good luck!!
Hey dude!. Great talk, amazing tips, perfect work!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing !!!!!. Regards. Pablo.
You’re welcome Pablo!
I showed my resume to five recruiters and asked them for feedback. Each of them had diff layout preferences which is frustrating. It's so subjective. Fortunately, I was able to land a great job w/ my resume as is.
I had no idea who you are.
I fell for the click bait.
And I am glad that I did.
Thank you for the sneak peek into the recruiter's mind.
You're welcome Satish. Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the pointers, I appreciate the help!
you're so welcome!
Your shirt looks red to me lol
Yea... Isn't salmon pink? His shirt is red
For me too.
It's red
Looks like same color as youtube bar/color... Just 250 shades of red
He said HOT salmon color lol
If you recently graduated with a masters from an ivy (let’s say Harvard), then should you put it at the top of your resume? There’s no other unobtrusive way to get Harvard at the top of my resume (unfortunately harvard got rid of alumni email addresses for certain graduating years or I’d do that)
You can put it at the end of your career profile!
Thank you for this information sir! I am not new to resumes, but I am aware that I need to transition the way its written out before applying to more jobs. I wanted to learn from experts to build myself in this area so I can grow more in job hunting. God bless!
God bless you too Ariana!
Wow. Unbelievably generous and helpful video. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great info! I would love to see a video for those who have been on a career break and re-entering the workforce. Thanks!
Rhonda, head to my blog and download the stay at home parent booklet. I'm not sure if that's your situation, but the concepts apply.
Hi do you have any suggestions for CV's? I work in healthcare and they typically want to see CV's that can be multiple pages.
Drinking game: Take a shot each time he says "resumes"
(helped me have fun while looking for jobs and this video got me a job so cheers everyone!)
I’m gonna do that during my live shows.
very helpful for our busy boggled minds...thank you
Angelica Velarde you’re welcome. :)
Hi Andrew, Loved the way you explained everything so precisely! I watched the video before working on my CV how I would want my CV to look. Thank you for the clarity
Glad it was helpful!
Wow. I'm glad i just came across this. I have redone over and over again my resume and listened to others as well as had others modify it and I shall need to look more in to your other topics. I have many skills that i have had to remove in order to shorten the resume but I will watch your other video and modify it again. Thanks!
SWEET. I have an entire resume playlist on the channel. Enjoy!
Excellent information!
Thanks Diane! So glad you liked it!
Thank you so much for sharing this info... came across your videos today and i been watching them. Cant wait to be called for an interview... taking your tips
You’re welcome Amo!
About the skills though.. what about the ats system? Wouldn’t
You want those skills listed?
Brittany, great question. Yes. Yes, definitely list those skills. Just list them in sentence format so the ATS can pick the up. Skill 1, skill 2, skill 3 etc.
@@andylacivita What if we have more relevant skills that they're looking for and this makes the resume go longer than 2 pages?
Great tip about the headline Andrew. Thanks!
Thanks Jude and Leah!!! :)
Wow! No objectives in the résumé??? Ok, let me rewrite mine right away!
That's right Bruna! Get something exciting up top!!! See my other video on how to build the ultimate professional resume!
I know..I though the same
Fresh out the pin looking for a new direction should get you noticed!
Bruna lol right? Who's been spreading that rumor? I've had an objective section for years, even though I always thought it was stupid.
I recently learned that they prefer summaries. Summaries, as he stated, gives the moment to brag about yourself instead of the objective which tells them what you want.
Great video, gets right to the point by telling you exactly want need in your cover letter short and to the point!
Thanks Cynthia!!!
Yeah, cause I work nonprofit. We do great work, but you wouldn't know my company.
Thank you for your info it truly summed up what I needed to do to proceed in writing my resume.
Mahananda, check out my collegiate template. See the video on this one trick will make your college resume stand out!
Thank you for explaining Why we should craft a resume this way. Really helpful.
You're welcome Tricia!
Amazing info 👍 also you look like wolverine w that beard
🐺
I enjoyed watching your video. it is entertaining and very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
