Thank you for this tutorial, you are the BEST. Love your videos, energy, and how you relay information. Keep them coming.
I NEEDED this tutorial. Tysm Summer 💚💚
Absolutely the best tutorialive seen!! Now i know how to getover spray from i side my cups Thank you so much
Thanks for this but I have another question when using chunky glitter how do you get it a good thick coverage and smooth on the bottom edge of the tumbler?
So on the completed cup... you used the sanding tool around the edge , with this cup being complete did it make the top look dull. I’m not sure if I am making sense but Ive been scared to sand when it’s a final layer. Thank you for your videos !! I have been in the cup game about a year and you are awesome and have taught me sooooo much in the 1 day of binge watching your videos :)
Thank you so much for this video. I cleaned the rim of my cup as I watched it ! 🥰
Am i the only one that cups are rugged on the botto edge and top edge? Its like the resin dont set there
hold a litytle back in the cup when you epoxy and after about 45 minutes you drizzle it on the edges. Then after it cures sand it smooth
Thanks for making this tutorial!
Hi there I’m having issues with the epoxy not sticking to the bottom edge of my tumblers. I’m not using glitter just acrylic paint that was sealed with a spray sealant. Please help. It looks so thin I just know it’s going to chip the second I use it.
Does this cleaning method work if I get spray paint from priming my cup on the inside of the cup?
Divon Creations I saw somewhere, yes
I clean up over spray with acetone. Works every time.
you can clean it up with 91% alcohol or 100% acetone
Summer, just to clarify, when you talk about the seal, are you talking about the destroying epoxy seal to the cup or are you talking destroying where the cup lid will seal to the cup? Thanks. Great tutorial.
the seal between the epoxy and the cup. If you lift it up AT ALL water can get in there and ruin the cup
@@LittleLeeandRose just wondering how you would repair the seal? I’ve had an issue with this last batch of pens and cups having issues with the epoxy on the edges cracking and chipping when cleaning attempting to clean up the edges😓
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I needed this!!!
Can you show how you would clean a cup that doesn’t go to the edge? I know the process is a little different
What is that little container you pumped your alcohol through? And where did you get it?
I have found these at Dollar Tree before.
Hey great video I have a quick question hopefully you can help me out. I just decided to start my journey on the tumblers but with everything going on I cannot find 91% rubbing alcohol! Can I use a nail polish remover to prep the cup? The acetone? Thanks a million
yes but the wash it VERY VERY well wil dawn dish soap and water
I use 100% acetone nail polish! I find it to actually work better than rubbing alcohol, but that’s my opinion. I was all my tumblers with warm water & dish soap, once it is completely done anyways :)
I find the 91% alcohol at family dollar. It’s the only place I can find it.
I was looking for your festival cup tutorial that you refer to on this video and can't find it. Can you post a link?
oopss it is still being edited!! I thought I would be launching it first!I will get it finished tonight and launch it tomorrow!!
What colors are in your hydro dip? It's gorgeous!
I've seen many tutorials where they use an exacto knife at an angle towards the inside of the cup to clean the rim. I have tried that method and have broken my seal twice. Do you feel sanding with the tool helps reduce the seal from breaking?
it does but if you heat the exacto knife the seal should not be broken
I've just done my first cup. How do you fix the broken seal?
Thank you for this! It helped sooooo much
How long after your last coat of epoxy do you wait to clean rim?
This was an awesome video! Thank you!
YAAAAAAS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE LOL :)
Pls wear gloves if you use a an electric file on glass in case it breaks. Wet/dry sand paper in a dish of water may be a better option.
How do you get an epoxy Seal if you’re going all the way to the top of the cup w glitter???
Another question is You Sanding the wine glass w the tool?? Doesn’t make the glass sharp??
the epoxy will seal at the top edge of the cup and no, sanding lightly does not make the glass sharp
Kathleen Lorenzo So, after this procedure you add on final coat of epoxy?
Is this a super fun process? No... But it is a important one.
Can u use mineral spirits to clean the inside
Is there a fix if you break the seal?
Sand it down JUST A TOUCH and re epoxy
When sanding you should wear a particulate mask not the vapor mask. The dust will ruin your vapor cartridges.
I have to wear it because I have mixed and curing in the same room . I can replace the cartriges very easily =)
When you say wipe it down with alcohol....you mean rubbing alcohol correct? What strength?
in this craft the 91% alcohol is used
how do you know when you've broken the seal?
MARIA SALDANA you will be able to see it. It will look foggy.
@@cassiekent8022 does anyone have a picture of a broken seal vs not broken so we can see?🤷♀️
@@kaligrl263 have you ever had nail tips (fake nails)? It'll look like when the acrylic or gel starts to lift away from the nail. It starts to look foggy or dull.
Where did you get your mask?
What can I do if I broke my seal?
How do you fix a top of a tumbler or wine glass that is missing glitter?
you can sand off the word and add it back, then epoxy as usual or if you want to strip it and start over you can search for how to strip a cup with cured epoxy on her channel
Can you use a heat gun instead of the torch?
Patti Mishler the heat tun works but not as well
what kind of acetone do you use?
100% acetone. You can buy at the drug store or a hardware store lile Lowe's or Home Depot.
What FDA approved resign do you use?
Francesca Cinko hi I’m Cassie. One of Summers moderators from her Facebook group. She mostly uses pro marine.
