I must say, I really like Snugpak's Elite series. Recently got an Elite 4 and the overall design and features are excellent. The Paratex Micro they use on the Elites seems twice as thick and tough as the Paratex Steelplate they use on their more expensive bags as on the Snugpak Tactical 2 I also have (also an excellent bag btw).
@chris25119600 Hi Chris, the Snugpak in this video is one from their Elite series which we are currently out of stock of. Alternatively we would recommend the Snugpak Softie Chrysalis Autumn Sleeping Bag which has a comfort rating to -5. There is also a video of the Snugpak Softie Chrysalis Autumn Sleeping Bag on here. It can also be found on our online store Simply Hike. Hope this helps.
Hey None None, The Tactical has a higher extreme rating meaning you can sleep in colder temperatures in it and the Tactical also heaters Snugpaks Softie Premier & Reflectatherm filling which gives you better control of your body temperature when in the sleeping bag. Hope this helps, Shaun @Simply Hike
Great sleeping bag. I have the special forces compleat system. I would love to know how they folded the bags and got them in their respective carry bags because no way could i fold and roll the bag. Stuffs in really easy though. 🇦🇺
I have the elite 2 fantastic I'm a very large man and fitted in like a dream love it now I'm after the bivvy tent to match the bag cost about £89 but worth every penny
Hi What's the blue Snugpak bag you have in this video ? I'm looking for something like this which goes down -5 comfort but packs down really small Thanks
I was considering buying one of these as it is a bit longer than the average sleeping bag, but I'm closer to 6'8 than 6'3. Is there any other bags you'd recommend?
Hello, No it is not waterproof - you can buy a Exped Drybag like this is you're concerned about the possibility of it getting wet. www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Exped/WaterproofFoldDrybags-Black.aspx Thanks, Leanne
Too bad Snugpak decided to have them made in China. Really, the so-called anti-snag zipper snags exactly when you need it most - that is in the middle of night when you need to go out in a hurry :) Also, I found the temperature rating to be a bit too generous. I really appreciate the expanda panel but I wish more QA went into these. BTW, I own 2 Softie Elites.
The Britts are not known for much (monarchy, soccer, rugby, bad food, worse weather, etc.), but they produce some elite soldiers and make some damn good military gear. I love the Snugpak line - I have a bunker tent I use when hiking with my family and quart system. If you are a Veteran, check out GovX for discounted Snugpak prices (I'm not sponsored by GovX and have no affiliation with them other than I've spent a crapload of $$$$ on their site).

It's a great bag; and this is a really nice review, too.
Thanks. Is it comfortable without a mat?
Thank you, great advice !

Look on Snugpacks website. You can add extra length to many of their bags as a cost option. Not sure if any regular bag will fit someone 6ft 8 tall.
Is the sack from the sleeping bag waterproof?

What a ridiculous and uniformed start to a review.
buy the special forces range if your watching this as a service person. im REME armourer
Totally crap
I'm thinking about buying one,why are they crap?, be great if you did a review of a sleeping bag that you consider not crap 😁
