Yes...I used Snugpak the whole time I was in the military..I still use it in civilian life...awesome products
Properly designed and I like gear that people buy privately for use in the military...good sign! Also, Altberg is another great British company supplying privately to those serving!

Very very good informative video we are looking for another sleeping bag for a little while now not keen on the mummy style bags but will definitely take the measurements and see if it’s bigger than my existing bag but it’s nice that you went into all the details about measurements and actually got inside it which a lot of people don’t bothered to do.
Appreciate your comments Nick, it’s a very good bag, I’ve used it in sub zero temperatures and it’s warm as toast 😃 if anything it’s a bit too warm in hotter weather, but you can just have it open 👍🏻

If you do feel the cold in this bag or any other sleeping bag then try the snugpak TS1 liner (thermal suede) great insulation and help keep your sleeping bag clean. I always use a liner in my sleeping bags, use a cotton liner in the summer and the TS1 in the colder months. Bonus is that the TS1 is made in UK and the liners are so much easier to wash and dry compared to a sleeping bag

Pleased that helped Tabe, I’ve been using the bag on a couple of camping trips over last month in freezing conditions and it’s very warm…keep safe and good luck 👍🏻
best bag for winter ive got. i use the bottom bit for keeping things warm over night. chuck my trousers and funnily enough batteries as they can lose thier charge in the cold. great bag

A good in-depth review mate. I’ve had the Snugpak Jungle bag for many years, which has been a good summer bag. Personally, I think Snugpak do an excellent range of good quality gear at very reasonable prices. You’ve made a good choice buddy.
Might even upgrade my old Vango 300 for a Snuggle!

Is this product the great choice for 4 season camping on mountains and generally for forest camping?
Hello, and thanks for watching my friend…..it’s a great 4 season bag and although I’ve not used on the mountain tops it is a highly recommended bag generally which was designed in the UK with military guys in mind.. the bag is very robust and more than suitable for general tent, tarp or hammock camping, actually with its outer coating and robustness is good enough just lay on the ground if need be! I do camp year round, actually enjoying a sub zero trip which some think I’m weird 😂
Having used over three winters I feel confident in recommending it, however in extreme freezing conditions I have used a camping blanket over the top just to expand its temperature range and as I get older I like to keep warmer. Snugpak makes a lower rated bag for extreme conditions but for me this one works on packed size v rating.
I’ve recently bought one of their fleece liners which haven’t had chance to use yet but hoping to review over next couple of weeks but it looks top quality and again military spec!

After some research, I too have decided to buy the Elite 4.
Where did you buy yours from ?
I found a couple of suppliers online, but both have several poor reviews, so if anything goes wrong with the bag, maybe there would be difficulties.
I know the bag is available on Amazon, but having had no experience with Amazon I’m not too sure about their customer services. Sadly there doesn’t seem to be a local supplier.
Hi Brian, I’ve gone back and looked at my seller on eBay but seems not to be selling anything!!! Sorry that’s not much use to you...Re Amazon, I use that a lot and find it very good, just finding the best you can among the choice is the difficult bit, regards Andrew 👍🏻

Absolutely, used all winter and spring… extremely good in sub zero temps! I use it with an exped down mat which is also good for sub zero temps… sometimes I’m too warm 😆 👍🏻

Yes, keep stored out of stuff sack as long term storage would flatten the bag filling! Okay for shorter periods but not extended
i really hate my legs being restricted it seems everyone is selling only the mummy bags. mu bag is pretty bulky too lot bigger than i hoped when im travelling by trains and buses
I prefer the mummy bag for winter but use a rectangular one for rest of year…also my rectangular one packs down smaller and I’d lighter, here’s a video review of it if useful👍🏻

They are designed do shorten with some clips but suppose they’re made universal to save cost 👍🏻

i got the snugpackpack softie wxpansion 5 the zips horendous an the bag isNIGHTMARE TO GETIT OUT THE STRAPS ARE TOO TIGHT ANCANT REMOVE THEM. THERES NO WAY ITS GOING BACK IN THAT BAG ITS WAY TOO TIGHT
zips still snag the maker needs to look at the reviews people make.

Too bulky for me. I need something that packs down to nothing. I don't drive and have to think carefully about everything on my back
Yes, with that and my winter exped mat it’s bulky….not too bad for me with a motorcycle but to be fair I do also like to pack light and small

@@TimelordUK I only have this and a summer bag, which definitely wouldn’t be good for autumn/winter, and most winter bags would be a bit bulkier…the other option is a less bulky 3 season with a warm liner which is something I’m thinking about. I have a small silk liner but that’s only useful in summer but if hot i just sleep in that 👍🏻

@@natscat4752 I bought the Black Ice sleeping bag. Down filled. Quite expensive for me but has a comfort rating of -5c and packs down to a manageable size
