    *CORRECTION: In the video we stated the first driving mode as, "eco", when it it's 'snow'.
    *UPDATE: Customers have said their new RDX now has Android Auto!

    Standard: $37 600
    Tech: $40 800
    A-Spec: $43 800

    My wife and I traded in our 2017 RDX for a 2020 RDX with the Technology Package. Beautiful car, great technology, and provides a fantastic ride. Acura did an outstanding job on refreshing the RDX. Look for the same soon for the MDX and TLX

    Sir, there IS a way for you to manually shift the vehicle without it taking control. And the touch pad is not a track pad, you do not have to keep your finger on it- it’s a true touch pad with 1:1 mapping so wherever you touch on the pad correlates with where you want to select on the screen. Otherwise you made a great video.

    You got the competitors very wrong. They are the X3, Q5, Evoque (got that one), RX350, and can’t remember which Benz but one smaller than the GLE. Trust me, I test drove between these and only one close was the RX. This one hands down crushes the others in terms of features, safety, reliability, and performance. Yes, I’ve done extensive research and that’s an unbiased opinion as I could get any of them, but chose the RDX

    • @FamilyWheels
      @FamilyWheels  4 роки тому +1

      While the RDX might compete with these on performance and options, I tend to go for price point to compare. The X3 starts at $7k more here in Canada. Good choice of car, I liked it too 👍

    • @ravgill6156
      @ravgill6156 4 роки тому +2

      Family Wheels fair enough. But for future reference, it helps to state that. Comparing across classes isn’t as beneficial, as then people have the wrong perception that this is closer to the X1, etc in size as well. Which by far it is not. (Oh and the RX isn’t that far in terms of price, the A-Spec sits at around $55k MRSP new, give or take)
      It further goes to show that you’re getting far better value, as it’s a larger vehicle with strong options at a lower price point. Just some things I took into consideration when purchasing mine :)
      Took a good couple months of test driving within its class and researching thoroughly.
      Other than that, it was a good review. I also bought this with future family in mind. In the meantime though, definitely gonna have some fun with it lol.
      Btw, I’m from Canada as well!

    When you have an engine that makes torque like a turbo engine you don't want 8 and 9 gears. You could almost skip some and use the torque to accelerate and it would pull stronger. When I moved on from 1/4 mile racing 40 years ago if you made over 600HP you wanted a Powerglide that shifted one time. That's why they "Short Shift" or program it to shift earlier than you would think. You spend more time pulling not shifting. Just a suggestion.

      The Passport along with Acura RDX and MDX have lost their recommended status with Consumer Reports.
      "The Passport two-row midsized SUV is an all-new model based on the three-row Pilot SUV. However, members told us that their Passports suffered from climate system problems, including refrigerant leaks and the AC compressor not working properly. The similar Pilot did not have these problems. When reached via email, a Honda spokeswoman told us that “a countermeasure to address the climate system problems was applied to vehicles beginning in June, and a service bulletin was issued in August. Passport owners experiencing problems with their climate system should contact their authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible to have the vehicle inspected.”"

More room, same tech, same or even more features based on the trim level, nicer interior, quieter, same or better driving dynamics, better value. No, I don't own any of them. The BMW X3 with most options can be negotiated down to the top level RDX advanced price point. The X3 is a much better interior/motor/trans. Another level. My neighbor got fully loaded Telluride. Its still not as nice as my loaded X3. But its bigger and yes a better value then a RDX. RDX only makes sense on base trims. On higher trims it is no longer competitive. Not even remotely so.
