When Paul drinks it, it gives him the power of foresight, in addition to those other things.

Not sure talking over nearly every moment second to second is quite the right recipe for a reaction for this one. It seems a tad over analysis-y, we'd much rather like to see your genuine reaction to the movie as an audience member, not a sports-commentator with a job. So much of this one is in the subtleties and vibes that i feel you missed alot of the nuance, for the sake of commentary, which was in some places incorrect, despite the movie being pretty clear to follow. There were a few moments you guys were going off a wrong assumption because of an earlier missed bit of information. Recommend giving this one another watch, for your own benefit, you'll get SO MUCH more detail out of it, i guarantee it. There's a balance of course, noone tunes in to watch two people sit watching quietly, but this is wayyyyy too far on the other extreme, in my opinion. Dig your other videos alot, only reason i feel compelled to offer this criticism this time round. All the best.

If you do go to see it in theaters, go out of your way to find it in IMAX if you can. It's a different experience.

So this story takes part 20,000 years in the future the last robot war happened 10,000 years ago. They banned thinking machines so that it would never happen again.
And yet they used a GUI for the Harkonnens😣

And they never really explicitly laid down that rule in this movie.
@@di3486 bro, a GUI isnt a thinking machine in the extremes that the ban applies to. Think more neural networks and machine learning to the level of pseudo-sentience kind of things. Noone is banning simple things like heads up displays and communications equipment.
The harkonnen guys wired into their war room display are likely (i guess) mentats making calculations for warmachines and such.

To answer another question you had, when they are sand riding, it pulls up the skills on the outside of the worm. The worms don’t like the sand in the sensitive area, so they won’t dive.
