We British might have colonised Australia, but the Aussies stole it from us!
Older soviet people with education have avery good education in relation to history and geography and such things.. It was very aggressively taught in the ussr. There was always a slightly "anty capitalist prosoviet slant but the historical facts were accurate and well taught.. For example old soviets all know pf the plight of the aboriginies or the situation of the native americans after their subjugation . ect.. I met 90 year olds in little villages in dagestan who had compleated a soviet education in the 1930s and knew alot more about history, politics and ethnographics than the 20 year olds who had tv and the internet

She went to Soviet school. You see, she speaks her native language. Nobody was forced to forget their language despite what's said in your media (I've read it in the article quotated in one of British textbooks)

Yes central Asians like tartars and other are mixed with ancient European people, sometimes they have green eyes or red hair

@@joemama4473well both Tatar and Kyrgyz are Turkish tribes and they speak different dialects of Turkish. I am from Turkey and I can understand Tatar, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Kazakh etc Turkish dialects too.

I remember the video where you interviewed your Grandmother and she told the story of living and working in the logging camp, and she talked about the small tattoo that all of the girls gave themselves. Such a story of strength, age 16 if I remember correctly... I'm still impressed. I see where you might get some of your resilience and strength Eli🎉
She reminds me of my Abuelita, who had a special inner strength as well. Strong on the inside, but still soft on the outside.The idea that men are stronger than women is based primarily on superficial characteristics in my opinion

These are Tatars (but yes, they are Russian citizens).

But if you ask a Chechen for instance, one that isn’t a puppet of the Russian and Chechen regimes. He/she will tell you completely otherwise. Many people have suffered by the hands of Russia. The British colonized Australia, Russia colonized the Caucasus among many other regions.

It’s a shame I hear young kids are not speaking those languages as much is this true? Her dad is actually from Kazakhstan. Mom from Elista, RU. We have a new year approaching us all, I hope it brings health, then some necessary changes this world needs.

I had to write something here, for the first time in my life I just understood all Russian words, directly without the need of reading subtitles, neither processing them, which is a truely fantastic experience, спасибо!!! ...and in bonus, recognized immediately the how familiar, Turkic sounding sentence in those jammed Tatar words... for some reasons, I learned Turkish many years ago, in Turkey I came across the path of fellow Russian tourist, some remained internet friends - then of course, was tempted to get the key to open the door, where is hidden the answer to this, What Russian culture is, finally all about ?... Happily trapped, exploring the labyrinth of answers, and somehow started to learning Russian, slowly and not surely, just for acting more safely;-) ....What a day on UA-cam 😅 1) "War and Peace" of Sergei Bondarchuk, in one row - as a French, it's an intense experience. 2) your last episodes . So, intense but in the end, enjoyingly rewarding. Keep it on like it is, it's great - and, important👍
