If you would just try some of the older Bee Gees hits from the 60’s you would hear Robin singing lead on many of their songs. Like "Massachusetts", "I've Got to Get a Message to You", and "I Started a Joke"
Jay and Amber are really missing out on the early years of The Bee Gees. They have only done How Can You Mend A Broken Heart as far as I know. They should check out all three of your suggestions as well as To Love Somebody, Lonely Days and plenty more.
Absolutely!! The early B's are so amazing.... the video of them doing Got to get a message to you, Robin and Barry swap parts and you have to watch them switch to know it..
Would love for you guys to play more older BeeGees like Words, To Love Somebody, I Started A Joke, Lonely Days, I Can't See Nobody, Holiday, Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster 194, Rest Your Love On Me, Come On Over, and Run To Me. All great songs!
Since you guys love both the Bee Gees and the Beatles, check out the Bee Gees performing a medley of Beatles songs on The Midnight Special in 1970. It’s absolutely sublime.
I'm surprised they haven't reacted to the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band yet with the BeeGees singing Beatles songs in a musical comedy movie. X)
I'm 69 yrs old, and I've never seen that video! Too cool. Hey....if you're blushing over this song, you best not listen to his song called "My Ding-a-ling"! Even back then when it came out, I couldn't believe they played it on the radio!!
There’s lots of good live BeeGees performances from The Midnight Special. All before their disco stuff. Glad you’re expanding to other eras. Try their 1060s hits!!! PLEASE!!!!
I've asked before....The Bee Gees on THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL! THEYRE MIND-BLOWING! Bout time you started doing the live versions! Thanks from NYC. ~BrooklynRed
Amber saying “Oh Stop”. That was great. My mom and dad said that when I played first played this song to them when it came out. I knew it would give them a rise. No pun intended.
Great reaction to a great performannce! BTW even though it's spelled Maurice, it's pronounced Morris. I would love to see you guys go back and do some of the early BeeGees hits. To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster, Massachusetts, Lonely Days. These guys are so much more than a 'disco group'.
Bee Gees were considered one of the best hosts of Midnight Special. You guys should watch Funny Moments of the Bee Gees parts 1, 2 and 3. Funny as, never took themselves too seriously. Best group ever!
You’ve never heard pre-disco Bee Gees and you’re missing out on a whole different Bee Gees, and it’s a Bee Gees that you will definitely like as well. I don’t recall any other group that ever made such a dramatic change in style as when The Bee Gees transitioned from their original soft rock almost folk style into their completely retooled disco, heavy on falsetto style. Please listen to I Started A Joke, Massachusetts, To Love Somebody and I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You.
More Bee Gees: Massachusetts, I've Got to Get a Message to You, I Started a Joke, To Love Somebody, Lonely Days, Come On Over, Run To Me, Road To Alaska, Don't Fall In Love With Me, New York Mining Disaster, Words, there are so many great ones.
Ohh Amber I love you! Your reactions were priceless 😂. I would love for you to listen to and react to My Ding a Ling but not sure you could handle it. No one like Chuck Berry & the Chuck Berry Duck Walk! Sooo much fun. Peace, love & prayers,Jeanine ❤
Jay you still need to go back and listen to some of the first BeeGees songs like I Started A Joke and Massachusetts and New York Mining Disaster 1941. Yes, these were all radio hits in the U.S..
Midnight Special came on at "midnight", so they got away with more "stuff". The Bee Gees did many "Midnight Specials". Most of them are available on UA-cam. Full episodes, but I also think there is a compilation video. This show would have been around 1973. And his name is pronounced "Morris" even though it's spelled Maurice. I've seen others post the same thing, but it bears repeating!!
Let's not forget the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with Peter Frampton and all 3 Bee Gees singing & acting & performing Beatles songs throughout the movie
I have seen hundreds of rock concerts by rock bands in their prime in the 70s and 80s. From Van Halen to Def Leppard. From Bob Dylan to Neil Young. From Kiss to Judas Priest. From the Grateful Dead to Ringo Starr. THE VERY BEST concert I ever saw was Chuck Berry. No fuzz, no distortion, just crystal-clear guitar, daring you to find a mistake. All done from muscle memory as his mind was elsewhere, entertaining with body language, facial expressions, and voice inflection. The consummate entertainer. A standup comedian, an engaging storyteller, a personal connector, a crowd unifier, and a living legend.
This is so cool. That’s what I loved about The Midnight Special. Artists would occasionally share the stage with other artists and jam. I’ve never seen this one before. Fantastic!
As the #1 Bee Gees fan in the world myself, how did I miss this?? A performance by the Bee Gees that I have never seen before!! This was great!! PS - it may be spelled Maurice, but they pronounced it MORRIS!
His mother called him Morris. In an interview she is quoted as clarifying that his name has always been pronounced Morris not Maurice. I'm guessing his mother would know what his name is
Spelled Maurice, but guess in the UK it was pronounced Morris. Also there's full episodes of the Bee Gees on The Midnight Specials YT channel, & they're all fantastic!
I saw Chuck Berry perform in Virginia Beach when I was a kid. He was much older by that point - it was the early 90s. His deal is he showed up to the venue- the venue/event provided the band. Considering all musicians honed their craft to Chuck Berry, he could do this because they all knew his songs (and technically they all pretty much sound the same- lol)
Your fans are right, you need to do Chuck Berry's My Dingaling - on air or off. Also Chuck Berrry,, Keith Richards, Linda Ronstadt doing "Born in the USA" is a solefull rock treasure.
Oh my, what a video and what a reaction, lol! Glad you enjoyed it! Chuck Berry was a major influence on many artists. There are more videos of Chuck Berry and .... He was on stage with John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Tom Jones.
The Bee Gees we're going back to their roots... started off as rockers back in late 50s doing Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly covers in their first band called The Rattlesnakes. Imagine if they had kept that name?😂
I echo everybody who suggested you listen to the Bee Gee's songs from the late '60s. You really don't know the Bee Gees until you listen to their earlier hits. Also, Maurice pronounced his name "Morris."
Here's the recipe....dash of guitar, splash of piano, dollop of drums and then put that around one of the Mount Rushmore of Rock n Roll icons and what you have is a toe-tapping fun time! THAT kids...is how it's done!!!!!!
Chuck is just pure legend... knew you'd love this one and i'm so glad we had these live shows and they were saved by The Midnight Special, so many great memories.
This was huge fun to watch. The look on Amber’s face when she figured out what he was referring to was brilliant especially as Chuck kept stepping up the mischief level in the lyrics.
Love me some Chuck Berry! I loved Amber's reactions! Priceless! Fun fact: the Bee Gees have been around since 1958, but had their best success in the 70's.
The version that played back in the day finished with "We boogied in the kitchen, we boogied in the hall, I got some on my fingers so I wiped it on the wall."
Chuck's solo live version the lyric is "WE BOOGIED IN THE KITCHEN, WE BOOGIED IN THE HALL, I GOT SOME ON MY FINGERS SO I WIPED IT ON THE WALL'' that really would have made Amber's face go blush!! LOL!!! keep up the great reviews guys lovin' it.
Chuck Berry “ No particular place to Go” is fantastic
Love that song! :D
Chuck Berry invented rock ‘n’ roll he’s the grandfather of rock ‘n’ roll
you said it all family !
After this Amber can handle Chuck's live version of "My Ding-a-Ling". Another fun Chuck Berry song.
but can she handle Prince's "Darling Nikki" ? lol
Especially the long 11 minute version from London 1972, where he's talking to the audience 😂ua-cam.com/video/hMddte6yD2w/v-deo.htmlsi=lzABXdreAbxharXb
@@MrMojoRisin1976Yes! Definitely the live version. His interactions with the audience are priceless! 😂😂😂
@@daleofficer1709 that whole bit about the boys side and girls side. Love it.
@@MrMojoRisin1976 classic! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was pre disco. Guy guys we need to ween you off of disco Bee Gees!
Amber is too cute catching on to lyrics!
Yep. You see it dawn on her also for Afternoon Delight, and Mack the Knife, and another I can’t recall right now. 😆
"Sweet Little Sixteen," "Maybelline," "Memphis, Tennessee," and "Rock and Roll Music" are all fundamental Chuck Berry hits you shouldn't ignore.
Chuck Berry was the foundation. Everything was built on Chuck Berry's foundation. #Legend
Well, now you want to hear Chuck Berry sing MY DINGALING
If you would just try some of the older Bee Gees hits from the 60’s you would hear Robin singing lead on many of their songs. Like "Massachusetts", "I've Got to Get a Message to You", and "I Started a Joke"
Jay and Amber are really missing out on the early years of The Bee Gees. They have only done How Can You Mend A Broken Heart as far as I know. They should check out all three of your suggestions as well as To Love Somebody, Lonely Days and plenty more.
Yes, Them singing "Words" on the Ed Sullivan show was first rate.@@KenRoerden
Absolutely!! The early B's are so amazing.... the video of them doing Got to get a message to you, Robin and Barry swap parts and you have to watch them switch to know it..
Been suggesting them for quite some time; will keep trying.
Think they've done a couple but not sure which ones.
The chance to perform with Chuck Berry. No one is turning that down.
Much prefer the Bee Gees earlier stuff before they went falsetto.
YES PLEASE!!!!!!
They should know thw original versions first.
Yes great suggestion ❤
Great suggestion.....especially since it has the most views on The Midnight Specials YT channel!
Amber will definitely blush if you play Chuck Berry - Ding- a Ling!!
I'm 69 yrs old, and I've never seen that video! Too cool. Hey....if you're blushing over this song, you best not listen to his song called "My Ding-a-ling"! Even back then when it came out, I couldn't believe they played it on the radio!!
Old music blows modern music away
Chuck Berry and the Bee gees icons all across the board 🎼
I just saw someone let y’all know that Angus’s duck walk is a tribute to Chuck Berry!!
Jay & Amber, you'll Love Chuck Berry's "Rock And Roll Music", "Sweet Little Sixteen" and "Maybellene" !!!!
-amazing !-
Little Queenie
This is one of the many shows the BeeGees hosted. All early 1970s. One show they did a great medley of Beatles songs. You’d love that.
This has to be one of my favorite reaction videos just to see the expression on Amber's face when hearing the lyrics.
Amber is cute when she is a little uncomfortable
BEE GEES Hosting the show always has a great outcome ❤❤❤
There’s lots of good live BeeGees performances from The Midnight Special. All before their disco stuff. Glad you’re expanding to other eras. Try their 1060s hits!!! PLEASE!!!!
I wish somebody would request "I Started A Joke" and / or "Massachusetts" from The Bee Gees ya'll would react to Amber & Jay.They're very good songs
I've asked before....The Bee Gees on THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL! THEYRE MIND-BLOWING! Bout time you started doing the live versions! Thanks from NYC. ~BrooklynRed
Damn, he was great. That voice, and his showmanship. He and Elvis rocked the world.
Good to see Chuck Berry bring on his A-game, live. He outperformed everyone in that moment.
We have all watched Jay blush to the ears on countless occasions, but Mr Chuck Berry just made Amber blush to her eyebrows and then some.😂
Gotta love Chuck Berry! My Ding a Ling, is fun, No Particular Place to Go. Classics.all. Thanks for.the smile.
Amber saying “Oh Stop”. That was great. My mom and dad said that when I played first played this song to them when it came out. I knew it would give them a rise. No pun intended.

I was hoping someone would inform them of the correct pronunciation.
ROTTIN' to the CORE - and, a BANGER, RIGHT!??!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just cannot BEAT Chuck Berry's guitar riffs....CANNOT sit STILL to THAT!!!
Bee Gees were considered one of the best hosts of Midnight Special. You guys should watch Funny Moments of the Bee Gees parts 1, 2 and 3. Funny as, never took themselves too seriously. Best group ever!

Please listen to I Started A Joke, Massachusetts, To Love Somebody and I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You.
Mr Berry is truly the king of rock-'n'-roll. 👍
Wilson Pickett and Bee Gees - Hey Jude ( Midnight Special).
Great suggestion!

I love Chuck Berry, the Godfather of Rock!! Chuck is very naughty...so fun! 💖💖
Jay you still need to go back and listen to some of the first BeeGees songs like I Started A Joke and Massachusetts and New York Mining Disaster 1941. Yes, these were all radio hits in the U.S..
Chuck Berry was so much fun, and a little edgy without going too far. 😂 I loved Midnight Sepcial.
I've never seen this before, freaking fantastic!!!.
God bless Chuck Berry, the real King of Rock And Roll.
Midnight Special came on at "midnight", so they got away with more "stuff". The Bee Gees did many "Midnight Specials". Most of them are available on UA-cam. That's one I'd missed, who'd a thought?Bee-gees doin the duck walk with Chuck!
They also performed -Johnny B Goode together on the same show.
I never knew Chuck Berry and the Bee Gees collabed
Worth watching the entire episode on The Midnight Special!🎵
Completely awesome!!! What a great song°
This Amber reaction is the best ever!!!!
Let's not forget the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with Peter Frampton and all 3 Bee Gees singing & acting & performing Beatles songs throughout the movie
Love it! One of my favorite movies.
Chuck Berry My Dingling
Continue to R.I.P Mr Chuck Berry and to the Gibb brothers who are no longer with us ❤ thanks again Jay and Amber 😊
LOVE THEM, BOTH!!!! :) HA - Jay's SHIRT is hanging in my LIVING ROOM!!! :)
If you want to hear Robin as lead singer try "Massachuetts" and "I started a Joke" from 1968.
Lol, The Bee Gees duck walking with Chuck Berry. Amber, I do believe you were blushing! 😳
Chuck Berry & The Bee Gees Are The Best 💯
I have seen hundreds of rock concerts by rock bands in their prime in the 70s and 80s. From Van Halen to Def Leppard. From Bob Dylan to Neil Young. From Kiss to Judas Priest. From the Grateful Dead to Ringo Starr.

The Chuck Berry duck walk is what Angus Young from ACDC does.
Yup! I saw Jimmy Page in 1988, and did the Chuck Berry duckwalk while playing some Berry rhythms.
Neil Geraldo does something similar as well.
This is so cool. That’s what I loved about The Midnight Special. Artists would occasionally share the stage with other artists and jam. I’ve never seen this one before. Fantastic!
The Father of Rock and Roll.
"Oh, they're doing the..." Duck Walk, Chuck Berry's signature solo guitar move. As seen in Back To The Future. Great choice, great reaction! 🙏
Amber, your reaction was PRICELESS! LOL!
As the #1 Bee Gees fan in the world myself, how did I miss this?? A performance by the Bee Gees that I have never seen before!! This was great!! PS - it may be spelled Maurice, but they pronounced it MORRIS!
Actually, Morris is just a shortened version of Maurice. Like using Bob for Robert. My stepdads name was Maurice, but friends called him Morris
No - the Gibbs always called him "Morris" and they called him "Mo" for short
His mother called him Morris. In an interview she is quoted as clarifying that his name has always been pronounced Morris not Maurice. I'm guessing his mother would know what his name is
Spelled Maurice, but guess in the UK it was pronounced Morris. Also there's full episodes of the Bee Gees on The Midnight Specials YT channel, & they're all fantastic!
Considering your reaction to this I must recommend Chuck’s greatest song of all time. My Ding-A-Ling
Also you should check out the movie Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band starring The Bee Gee’s & Peter Frampton.
Laughed so hard when you covered your eyes with your headphones. 😆
John Lennon said, if you wanted to give Rick and roll another name, call it Chuck Berry.
It's a little bit naughty but it's oh so much fun!!!🤣🤣🤣
Thank-you Chuck Berry, thank-you. Time to do My-Ding-Aling now I guess 😀. And then You must do Memphis at some point. Amber will love that one.
PS: J, that is the ‘duck walk’. Chuck Berry patented
I saw Chuck Berry perform in Virginia Beach when I was a kid. He was much older by that point - it was the early 90s. His deal is he showed up to the venue- the venue/event provided the band. Amber loved your reaction to this song
Your fans are right, you need to do Chuck Berry's My Dingaling - on air or off. Also Chuck Berrry,, Keith Richards, Linda Ronstadt doing "Born in the USA" is a solefull rock treasure.
An encore on a tv show is unheard of. Thats was so much fun.
So glad I didn’t miss this!😂😂😂😂
Now, Amber, you simply must listen to Chuck's lovely little ditty, 'My Dingaling'.
Oh my, what a video and what a reaction, lol! Glad you enjoyed it! Chuck Berry was a major influence on many artists. There are more videos of Chuck Berry and .... He was on stage with John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Tom Jones.
Y'all notice that NONE of that went over Jay's head....🤣
Well now...that was a hidden gem from the vault....Wasn't it?😏
I am not a Chuck Berry fan, per se, but I recognize his contribution to rock n roll. He is an older dude. Lol. You should hear My ding a ling.
I saw Chuck Berry live many times. The crowd goes insane and always wants more!! He was one of the best entertainers ever.
Thank you!! This made me laugh out loud!!
Here's the recipe....dash of guitar, splash of piano, dollop of drums and then put that around one of the Mount Rushmore of Rock n Roll icons and what you have is a toe-tapping fun time! THAT kids...is how it's done!!!!!!
Btw Amber, Andy Gibbs 66th bday would've been March 5th.....& 36 years since his passing March 10th.😥
Thanks for the reaction...This is my favorite Chuck Berry song.
Can't go wrong adding Mr. Chuck Berry to the mix. Your faithful follower🎶🎤👩🦳🫶🌟
Just ain't nothin' quite like old-time rock-n-roll!
Chuck is just pure legend... knew you'd love this one and i'm so glad we had these live shows and they were saved by The Midnight Special, so many great memories.
I never heard this before, what a treat; it shows the Bee Gees had some rock in them.
You must realize by now , that when it came to Chuck,
it was always about Rock and Roll ! 😉
It's called the duck walk, Jay. That's the same move Angus does.
This was huge fun to watch. The look on Amber’s face when she figured out what he was referring to was brilliant especially as Chuck kept stepping up the mischief level in the lyrics.
You can tell when Amber realizes what they are really singing about.
Growing up in the 70s was great. Great music TV shows uncensored. Everybody had a sense of humor
Love Amber’s reactions. Priceless!!
You should check out Linda Ronstadt and keith Richards of the Stones playing live with Chuck at his 60th birthday bash. "Living in the USA"
We boogied in the kitchen we boogied in the hall. I got some on my finger and I wiped it on the wall! I love how Chuck changed his lyrics on the fly!
Gotta say I was as shocked as Amber on this one. My favorite BeeGees song is You Win Again. LOVE IT!
Amber, if you really want to blush, you should listen to his song. Chuck Berry, my dingling.😅
I remember this song came out when I was a teenager. I knew every word LOL. He was a legend.
Love me some Chuck Berry! I loved Amber's reactions! Priceless! Fun fact: the Bee Gees have been around since 1958, but had their best success in the 70's.
