This is how I was learning, I think my famous Guitarist neighbours would know it better since I was practicing in the patio 😅 you made it easier by providing a lesson. Thank you! This not only helps in memorising the location it also helps hand coordinations moving between the strings and the sounds of each note! This needs to be done diligently which I am still trying to do! 😅
Love this!! Seems like there are some fun, useful variations too, like playing a given note over each chord that contains the note in it's triad (e.g., playing C over a backing track with C, F, Am) in order to learn the sound and feel of that juxtaposition of chord and note.

Sweet! I’ve been doing something similar. I have a chord progression I like with enough time on each chord to hit the note over several locations. Then I let the chord progression permute its 1 chord over the circle of fifths. For instance, if it was a blues, I would let it go through a couple of choruses in the key of C and hammer on those c notes, then it permutes to G.
After one cycle I then try voicing triads rooted on the note.
I also try root-3rd on one cycle. Helps tremendously!
