Use some common sends guys… It’s just a standing end strand of 550 Cord on the shoulder strap, with alternating turns of the working end looped around it and the strap. Tie it off with any knot you prefer and you’re good to go.

Pro tip. Make sure your fingers aren't under the rope when you light it. I lit a nylon rope and it almost immediately dripped onto my finger. It cooled super quick and I ended up ripping it off my skin. I have a big burn scar from then and it's always a reminder. So be careful lighting nylon. If it drops on your skin I can guarantee it's gonna leave a scar. That shit was like napalm.
I can't even count how many times I've been in the wilderness, pounding my knife with a tree-limb when my knife's wooden handle breaks-Every darn time! So now I always carry nylon rope and a lighter with me to make handles for my cutlery.
