      I know, I'm really sorry. It was done about 2 weeks ago but didn't finish it. It's been tax time at my companies so having to deal with that nonsense. But I'm back now, and a new car is coming this week so should be all go from here ;-)

    Love the lint roller tip, thanks :-)

      It's good to use throughout the process as sometimes no matter how much you vacuum the bits are always there. It's a cheap lint roller from Ikea, plus you can pull the sheets off and use them to get bits of dirt and stuff from in the crevices of seats.

    Thank you for this tutorial, worked a treat on my car mats. Is this method safe to do on the car carpets underneath the car mats?

    • @MySupercarLife
      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому

      No problems glad it helped. You can do but it's like I said in the vid, you have to be very careful using a brush on the 'fixed carpets' some can be cleaned that way, but I tried to do the Audi and it pulls the fibres out of the carpet. The best thing I can suggest is to try somewhere that you can't see, for example if you can lift the back seats, try it under there and see if there are any adverse effects. Most of the time otherwise you can use a soft brush by hand.

    when i first go to clean my mats the only thing i do different to you mate is ill give them a few slaps on the back while hold them this usually helps unlodge some of the rubbish, other than that i follow your steps...and yes the drill brush does makes for a easier job lol..cheers ...ho before i forget you are already costing me money lol...ordered the little swirl finder torch from your link, bonus..i have shed loads of 18650 battery's .. from all my vaping stuff..regards subbed and belled.

      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому +1

      I forgot that step, I normally slap them against a wall LOL. The drill brush is great, I experimented on some seats with it the other week and it works just as well on those :) The swirl finder is a great little torch to have, it works well and it's cheap as chips. Plus if like you say, you have the 18650 batteries then you're on to a winner. Thanks for subbing mate

    How long do the lines stay there for? Also I have a 'dent' in my mat from where my foot was wet once and whilst driving my heel has left a mark, will the DA/Drill attachment get rid of this?

    • @MySupercarLife
      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому +1

      Generally until someone puts their feet on them Grrrrr. Unfortunately it won't get rid of that, I tried that earlier. It did 'unmatte' the fibres and make it look a bit better but it doesn't remove the dent. For the price though I'd recommend getting one.

    • @MySupercarLife
      @MySupercarLife  7 років тому

      Ooooh, I'm not sure, you could try something like distilled vinegar or sticky stuff remover which you can get from B&Q. I've not used Autoglanz is it good? I thing I'm going to get Meguiars either APC of super degreaser when I next need some.

      I'd recommend this method on floor carpets. If you are able to remove the carpet from the car take it to a car wash and you'll see the dirt come out. It'll be nice and clean after 2 cycles of the pressure washer

    • @simplytuned1623

      I can't always pressure wash mats as a detailed cause it takes too long to dry especially in the winter. So this is a good method.

      I have a dodgy car wash nearby where they do that with peoples' rugs from their home... in the same spot where they otherwise wash all the oily mess off cars.
