I think with the not being able to read certain small words is because some of the words you can read and figure out fine what the rest of the story is supposed to go . I can usually figure out the next word because the pattern in the sentence not actually read the word but it’s the pattern is not where are you think it would be I have no idea what it is. Personally I can read much better than I can spell but when I read I have no idea what I read because I tried so hard to read it but I couldn’t put it together and just wanted up extremely confused. I am 35 graduated early from high school because I tried so hard 🙁 I have lots of different teachers try lots of different things just gave up.
Anytime I ever tell anyone they always say you just need to try harder and it’s all about memorization. Yeah I’d like I didn’t try hard enough and look at the word over and over again and tried my best to memorize it. At the point of feeling like being crippled and people just saying just get up and work like it’s that easy but no matter how hard you try constantly just fall on your face it is completely tragic
@@blessall8856 I would recommend enrolling them in a dyslexia tutoring program that uses Orton-Gillingham, or one of the methods in the Orton-Gillingham family, such as Wilson or Slingerland. If you are interested in online Orton-Gillingham tutoring, you can find information on our website. Thanks. www.dyslexiaconnect.com/
