Hi im Nicolau im 13 and i have dyslexia. And i am pretty sure that there are a few parents out there that are wondering what's it is like to be a dyslexic kid. From first hand experience I can tell you that it won't be easy it won't ever be no matter how hard you try. So what you have to do as a parent is give your child extra time extra help. This does not have to mean tutoring this can be anything from getting the child to watch a movie in a foreign language or reed comics. These small things will help make your child fight dyslexia. He or she may even become better than all his or her class mates. For example about 3 months ago got my MAP test results back and i could not believe my eyes i was in the top 80% reading comprehension. (Bottom 40 for writing and top 85 for math). So my point is it will be hard but it is possible. Also teaching your child a nother language help surprisingly. I my self have mastered Catalan Spanish Japanese and English. At the time i did not want to learn more languages but now the extra effort i put in in the beginning now makes me stand out. Also if your child likes a subject (any subject) help the child grow in that field. If you need help feel free to contact me i will be more than pleased to help because no one helped me and life was basically a form of torture.

I dont know if im dyslexic. My reading is okay its better than my spelling and handwriting. I often have issues putting thoughts into words and in my english class my teacher often puts: Handwriting is off or respell this or that lately ive been noticing when i read the lines around feel uncomfortoble to look at or move a bit ive no i dea what it is

When I was in year five I was told that I may be dyslexic but I have had no further comments. I also sometimes skip lines when I read, I have really bad spelling and sometimes i feel that when I am working my brain just empty’s it’s self and I can’t think. Sometimes I confuse my lefts and rights and always have to put my hands up information of my to check which is left and which is right.

I have dyslexia and i go to private school and I HATE it I have to drive an hour there and back and there’s a public school 5 mins away and all my friends go there and I feel not normal it sucks im trying to convince them to go to public
I swear im dyslexic. All my life ive had trouble with my b/d's q/p's left/right. Sometimes i read things extremly incorrect Ex: i read "this made me cry" as "this game is crazy". It took me the longest to realise what it said. My reading and writing is both mildly problematic, although ive always read ahead of my years. Also i think words move around on the page when i read aswell, i read something then look back and it just really doesnt make sense. Uhm do you have any resources and or advice available?

Hey peter ,I have commented on your video's before,in the last few years ,I have been struggling with my reading it has been giving me headaches and looks uncomfortable to look at ,I told a teacher at my school and it got completely dissmissed ,I just don't know what to do atm
